Random lot disappearances breaking the game
« on: 2009 December 21, 01:31:27 »
THANKS THIS IS GREAT

So, this phenomenon has happened twice, on two different save games. It happens after playing two or three times (after maybe spending 6 hours total re-modeling lots and whatnot).

And here it is:

lolwut?

A majority of the lots have become gaping holes in the terrain. It's not the floating terrain problem other people are having, because the terrain is still in place, and the lots are just GONE. The last time I saved, everything was normal. Then I reload the game and this happens, every time. I'm patched to version 1.7.

Help?

You really need to LURK MOAR! Read the FAQ's and use search from the home page. This has been written about when 1.7 update first came out last month. Answers are in this forum, just search!

Really discussion on this problem started with update 1.6.

I thought so, brownlustgirl.  This is the blue lot issue, yes?  I never had it personally, and so don't know much about it.

Sorry, but doing a search of "disappearing lots" brings up nothing. I didn't realize it was called the blue lot problem.

And I read the FAQ. Which tells me nothing.

So have you searched using "blue lots"?

FAQ's are not for answers, just how to find answers without hitting the ire of members here. Making a new thread for something you could have searched for in the first place is a big no-no here.

Okay, I get that now. But how was I supposed to know I had to search for blue lots to get the answer?

In any case, thanks for clarifying. I thought my game was doomed. Sorry for making a redundant thread.

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I like redundant threads.  It saves me the trouble of scrolling all the way down the topic list.

Anyway, here's something that could help. http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=381540 The blue lot fixer seems to help, but it's tedious to use if you have a lot of cc.
