Tiger just uploaded a tool that gives the "beautiful vista" moodlets back to lots that were lost, and you can even add to any lot in the town. It works!

This is because there is no NEED for this type of item.  Sim clothes do not need washing or ironing.  Mind you, it might be lulzy to recategorize the clothes washer as a dishwasher, and the dryer as a BBQ.

There's no need, but they're nice as decorative items. The game wouldn't be much fun if it had no decorations.
