THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I've poked around the intertubes - can't find one that works.  Tired of my window frames sticking through my damned curtains.

Please hep me!

There's no need. All you have to do is hold the Ctrl (or was it Alt?) button when you're dragging objects to freely move it around.

It's the ALT key, but it doesn't work for curtains.  They snap to walls now.

Did you try "moveobjects on" and then holding down alt?

My claim to Sims fame?  I was featured as a Sims 2 fan on an MTV show about The Urbz.  I'm badass like that.

It's from I Can Haz Cheezburger so I imagine you can send it to whoever you like.

disableSnappingToSlotsOnAlt true

then hold the ALT key down when placing the objects...you may want MoveObjects on as well...I use this when placing trees and bolders into ponds. Makes it much more realistic looking.

Except that you don't need the cheat. Just use ALT, and moveobjects on if you'll be overlapping.
