THANKS THIS IS GREAT

First of all, i wanna say Hi, since i'm new here :S

So, i noticed something weird in the Strategy book and i wanted to ask, if anyone of you guys made a different view.

The Book says:

Quote
The Thief branch of the Criminal career starts you toward becoming the Master Thief Right away, you earn the Sneak interactionfor going to a location.
When you Sneak onto a lot, other Sims do not detect you. Sleeping Sims will not wake up either,
So far, it works fine. I can Sneak up everywhere i want to, nevertheless i can't (Book says again)
Quote
so you can actually rob while perfoming this interaction.
So, do i have to have Kleptomania, or is there any Chance to get my Sim to rob the shit out of houses without having it? And a question in addition, how can i get into houses? There's no possible Trigger to do it.

Please excuse my bad english skills, it's not my mother tongue. Cheesy

The Prima guide might have been accurate months ago when it was written (long before going to the printer and appearing in stores), but now it is full of lies -- many things were changed before the game was released.

Kleptomania does not allow you to steal from any houses unless you have been invited in.

When I first heard of Sims 3, of how you could actually ROB families.

Then when I got it (AKA 'arred it) I was disappointed.

Actually that's incorrect. You can still rob from outside of the home (i.e. driveways with cars, outdoor furniture, decorations, lights) just not inside the building.

MiniWanker you are a tosser. You have been annoying me for some time with your idiotic contentless posts, this takes the biscuit. I sincerely hope you are an abused husband.

Well thanks, and yeah - someone already corrected it, you can steal stuff from the garden w/e. So, i don't have to use this Kleptomania Crap, since i make a lot of money just by being a Masterthief. Sad

You're not alone. Not at all.

Never the less, I'll make an attempt in calming down.

PROTIP: "Jokes" about spousal abuse / battery are not considered particularly funny. Most people's minds would not even begin to go there when attempting to insert "levity" into a post on a forum where they do not know anyone.

I'll make an attempt in calming down.

Your asshattery has already been noted.

The difference, of course, is that The Honeymooners was made decades ago.  What was funny once is not necessarily good material for humor today.

If you enable the testingcheats, you can look through the window to see inside their house and teleport into it, then you can sneak around and steal shit. That's the only way you can do it without having to be invited in.

Incidently, is there any difference between the "Sneak" and Burglar trait "Sneak anywhere" actions?
