Tried to play Free Time today and this came up: "You have uninstalled the Sims 2 Nightlife. If you continue, your downtown neighborhoods will be deleted and your downtown Households will be moved to the family bin". With a click option of 'continue' or 'quit'.

So I clicked 'Quit', looked in the NL folder and yup, the renamed exe file was gone. Only thing is I never touched it to begin with. Just played the game on Saturday.

I only have up to Free Time installed and a GC world .exe crack that has worked well without problems after a very bad Securom issue with Bon Voyage.

Question is any idea how the original exe file disappeared? Bad CC? Virus? Worm?

And what is the best way to go about reinstalling NL given the fact that I have a CD crack or does that matter?

This is a stupid random EAxis bug that happens. Just reinstall. Your NoCD makes no difference.
