I agree, skandelouslala.  I was going through such utter withdrawal from (mostly) intelligent conversation and debate.  and the sarcasm.  I miss JM's sarcasm.

Close Call. This afternoon, I couldn't get on MATY. I editted my hostfiles and everything came back. MATY is like food. Instead of losing weight without it, I'll lose brain cells.

Thank goodness. I was also going through serious withdrawls, not being able to get on MATY. Then someone was kind enough to PM me on MTS2 and give a link to the IP so I was able to edit my hostfile (thanks Doompuppy!). It's a little strange, I haven't been here for too long, but I'm already hopelessly addicted.

Who is it? Inform me at once so I can have them banned. Is somebody spreading vile and subversive Ingeian propaganda? Do you believe someone to be in league with our enemies? Report them! And we'll give you a medal, and a free month and stuff.

Calm down Pescado. You don't want to pop a blood vessel. Tongue

I don't know who it is. With all controversey going on, Im easy to believe someone is around is working for the "enemy." Im thinking maybe Inge has an "Inside Man" involved. Do I still get a medal and a free month?  Grin Tongue

wait... isn't giving out your ip address not a good thing? Then they could attack that... which would be bad, in which case I'd have to slaughter people...

I kind of like it this way though, it keeps away a lot more of the sheep!

All websites have an IP address, to which the DNS resolves the text address you type into your browser.  That's what is broken.  That's why putting it in your hosts file fixes it, because your computer bypasses the DNS and uses the one it finds on your computer instead.  Anyone can find out what IP address a text address stands for.  Just search Google for IP DNS converter.

Wow, 3 days with no MATY. I guess I didn't happen to surf the site at the time when the alert was posted in the message box or I would have been able to get here.

I almost resorted to thinking the site had been taken down, but I guess that would have only been half-correct. I knew JM would never leave us ( Roll Eyes), so I had a suspicion that the site was taken down forcibly.

* TheCheat sighes.

Why do morons have to resort to hacking and DoSing? It doesn't make sense. Nothing stays down on the Internet forever. What are they trying to prove?
