Here are the three Store guitars I have that have been set to be electric instead of acoustic if anyone else wants them. I've tested them in my game now and they all seem to work fine.

Population spawners are all toggled off except for pets and celebrities.
AM doesn't take note of those settings anyway. I asked.

On the subject of moodlets, any way to make it so that the Enjoying Music moodlets given from the Showtime Jukeboxes and MP3 player actually improve a Sims' mood? Unlike those given by radios and stereos, they fail to have any mood bonus added to them.

There's also the Vine Me Up guitar from the Store that was a Simpoint bundle item. I've updated guitars 3 and 4 on that list as well as the Vine Me Up guitar but haven't actually tested them in game yet.

I would like to request that the new parking spaces from UL be made exempt from turning invisible in Live mode. As it is, the fake parking lots in the university wolrd look a little bit odd.

So after numerous tests, I found out that them showing up has something to do with the userpresets file.
When I had my old one in, they wouldn't show up, I deleted it, and now they're back.
I also am only using the updated Unawesome KT fix right now, just to play it safe.

I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

The walls? The floors? Their brain cells?

I can't understand EA's obsession with sticking EVERY store Premium Content piece into the Misc. catagory of nearly every section as well as the regular catagories.

I wasn't aware of Frank's Skydrive. Thanks. I've bookmarked it so I shouldn't have to ask for files again. Can't say Skydrive's search function is any good though.

Even if it is a functional display case, which it really looks like it should be, it may still be in misc. deco anyway. That's where they decided to dump the SN displays. I have so many recat files for this game.

Does anybody have a link to the "Steampunk: The Return" set that doesn't require me to install some third party program to download it? I actually want it so that I can UNINSTALL an item.
Or alternatively, does anyone know the jumbled number/letter package name for the Anachronism VCT laptop that came with said set?

It's a STATUE! Why should it have sounds? It's not got a music system wired into it.

I honestly thought they would have had it travel along the roads knowing EA.
38  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomemod Request Thread on: 2013 February 21, 19:23:21
As I understand it, currently, AM ignores anything to do with the official population demographic options that were introduced with Supernatural overriding them with a "don't create any creatures at all" type rule.
I would like to request that since we now have these options available to us, that AM take note of them and react accordingly. That way, if players using AM don't want any supernatural creatures then they can simply untick all the options. If I want certain creatures such as vampires and werewolves to to be created by the game then I can do so by checking the relevant options.
As we have these options in game now I don't see why it would be unreasonable to ask that AM actually takes those settings into account.

[...] also looking for a mod that can stop the weather stone from being placed. I don't want it in all my neighborhoods, plus the stupid map tag never disappears.
Not true. The map tag does disappear. It just takes a hell of a long time for it to do so.

ETA: Maybe they added coding to the items so they'll work with the festivals?

Surely that's just stupidly wishful thinking?
41  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2012 October 20, 11:52:27
I have a question regarding AM and the new population controls that we now have in game.
(Not editing my previous post as that was made four months ago.)
Prior to the population controls AM SP was set up do disallow random vampire turnings so that you only got vampires if you created them yourself, correct?
Is this still the case now even though we have the options in-game to stop them being created? Does this aspect also affect the new SN creatures as well?
If AM SP still functions as always and is ignoring the population controls available in the game, could we have it so that AM SP DOES listen and take into account the settings we have set in the game population controls?

Can anything be done about the Jukeboxes and MP3 player from Showtime not having any effect on mood? They still produce the Enjoying Music moodlet but they have no value.
Regular stereos still give a positive mood boost as they should.
I've tried this both with and without mods and the issue still persists. I've no idea if this has been an issue since release as I only took notice of the moodlets today.
43  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Extracting Music from Game on: 2012 October 11, 14:53:41
It can be done, yeah. I have all of the music from each pack prior to Supernatural extracted and converted to MP3.
The link above doesn't seem familiar to me. I'm using a program called "The Sims 3 Sound Converter" but I honestly can't remember where I downloaded it. I do know I have never had to use a hex editor with it though.
44  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: White Flying Textures on lot after two days of playing, any help? on: 2012 September 18, 11:59:39
These are definately ceiling tiles. I've had it happen in my own game before. The sledgehammer tool did nothing for me and the only way I found to fix it was to place foundation where the white blocks were and then delete them again. I assume the foundation forced the grid to level itself.

This
2 - Awesome adds an "Eat" action to honey jars and Sims will then autonomously eat instead of drink them

nah - that isn't awesome.  up until end of this week I've been playing completely awesomless and sims drink honey whenever they get in the slightest bit hungry.  It doesn't occur to them to eat anything else if they have honey in their inventory either.  Gives them a happy moodlet, but perversely does almost nothing to fill their hunger bar.  And since it doesn't actually sate them, they keep eating jar after jar after jar if you don't catch them....Seems just another annoyance EAxis just had to put in.

On the real problem front:  I do have the psychic helicopter police too. Drives me insane - they catch my teen 100% of the time when she's out after midnight.  Just saw something new too - they now have police in the vacation worlds too (certainly don't remember ever having seen that before) - still not to pick you up at midnight, but when you egg someone else's house they sure are there in a jiffy.

I'm guessing here, as I am still playing Awesomeless at the moment, but I think you have misunderstood. I believe the OP is saying that Sims EAT the JAR instead of drinking FROM it.

Just to point out that apparently the mass zombie spawning during any time, day or night, is now a known bug and the EA team are supposedly working on another patch to fix it. According to info, it occurs if you save your game during a full moon. Don't save during a full moon and you should be okay. Or as okay as you can be with these zombies.

I'm back to request that while you are having to poke around in the code to update AM could you PLEASE take a look at the digital photo frames to force them to display their stored images upon save load instead of having to manually update them every time a save is loaded?
48  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 August 18, 17:03:30
Works fine for me, how are you trying to launch the game?

I've tried them all, actually. From Launcher, from .exe, and I even did the insane and reinstalled origin to attempt to launch from it sans-disc.
If it's working for you and you're freshly patched then I probably just borked my game somehow. I already tried sans-cc, but I will try culling and see if that helps any.

I know someone a bit back mentioned the same thing, so we might have a related problem. I'll see if I can find the post and edit with the info.

ETA: I found it! Page 30, by RebelRed.
-snip- Also when I open the launcher and try to play it asks for my disc, which I of course don't have. -snip-

I can confirm that the feature is working as intended in my game. I cannot launch from the Launcher as it still asks for a disk but can launch the game with no issues direclty from the .exe, or in my case, a shortcut to the .exe.
49  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: flagrant system error every 15 game minutes, no sims selected when traveling on: 2012 July 11, 20:37:43
I had the lack of an active household issue when I had a Sim return from Egypt the last time I played two days ago. I never got any errors pop up but then I'm not sure I have the option turned on to be able to see those anyway.
There was no UI but time was still running. My cursor was reacting as though I was in Map View trying to select a house to play.
I'm just about to update AM and will try traveling again some time soon.

Does AM have any effect on what videos the TVs play? I mean colour vs black and white? I know that at least one of the cheaper TVs used to play only black and white videos but they all seem to play colour vids now regardless of their price/ratings.
So is this an AM thing or something EA "changed".
