51  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambrosia on: 2009 June 16, 12:36:11
You can transition him back to adult (or YA) using shift-click "Edit in CAS" in awesomemod.

Yes this is what I did last night.  It did remove all his traits but one though.  But I simply added them back with the addtrait function.  It was just a pain though because I didn't realize that you could do this so I had retired him from his job so I had to do the Shift-Click on the mailbox and put him back into his position.  Also to update his thumbnail pic I had to do "Change Appearance".  But lesson learned!
52  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambrosia on: 2009 June 15, 19:03:43
No I didn't do any sort of clicking on him as the pop up appeared while I was controlling another Sim and I actually quit the game without saving and tried it again and the same exact thing happened again.

I didn't notice if it added more days to his age, I just noticed that the age bar emptied and it said he had like 54 days till elder but I did notice when he did transition that its now saying he is very old, like 156 days which cannot possibly be.  He started as an adult and aged properly.  He did eat several life fruits before the day he ate the ambrosia.
53  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Ambrosia on: 2009 June 15, 18:07:10
Ok, I searched for this topic and it does not seem that any of the threads cover this but if I missed one I'm sorry.

I had a Sim I made in CAS but made as an adult.  He married a Sim that had the ability to prepare Ambrosia.  When he was just a day from turning into an elder she prepared the Ambrosia and he ate it.  It reset his bar back to the beginning of the adult stage and I was happy.  Then a day later the game announced it was his birthday and he aged to an elder!

Has anyone else experienced this and is this a bug?
54  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD & SCRIPT HACKS: CRASH ISSUES THREAD on: 2009 June 08, 17:43:30
So here is the sordid crash history for myself.

1.  Loaded game with awesome.package and requirements.  Crash and burn.
2.  Deleted cache files.  Success!  Peasants rejoiced.
3.  Later, installed some pattern CC and premade Sims.  Crashed on loadup.  Removed CC.  Still crash.
4.  Deleted cache files.  Still crash.
5.  Removed awesome.package.  Game loaded, but I refused to play without it.
6.  Put awesome.package back in, deleted cache files again.  Crashed.

ETA:  7.  Added enablescripterror.package.  Still crashed.
        8.   Removed ese and deleted cache files.  Still crashed.

I wish I knew what stars were aligned that it worked fine for me the first time.  I'm running the latest version of the game on Windows XP.  If you need any other system specs, let me know.

I found that when this happens you must take all the mods out, delete the cache files, then start the game up and load your game you were playing when it crashed and do a save.

Then go back and put the mods back in, delete the cache files and it will load right back up with no problem.

I just updated to the new Awesome Mod from the older one and now my game is crashing at 1 am.

That works great thanks!!!
57  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Work Options on: 2009 June 05, 14:52:39
Good point.  Now that you mention that, it seems to match my observations.  I earned more raises with my professional slacker Sim, while the Sim I'm playing hasn't earned a raise in his entire young adult life (I've been taking it easy and socialize with coworkers the whole time).

Do raises "carry over" as you get promoted though?  If I earn a raise at level 1 and then get promoted, do I earn the base level 2 salary or is getting promoted just going to add a certain amount on top of my already raised value?  If it resets to base value at each promotion, I'm never going to work hard until the top of the career.  No point since the raises early on are pathetic amounts anyway, and if they don't even carry into higher levels it's a waste of time.

It seems from what I have observed that these raises do indeed add to the base salary and are carried over.  I got a raise last night from the "Work Hard" of $33 an hour which is the biggest one I have gotten yet.
58  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Work Options on: 2009 June 05, 13:20:36
I have tried several of the options and I have found the "Meet all the other workers/team mates" does give you a boost.  Also when you choose "Work Hard", "Work on Special Project", you get stressed a lot quicker but also I noticed it seems you get more reward options and I got loads of raises.

So I can't be absolutley sure these caused those outcomes but it seems as though they did.
59  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Installing a Bought Version on: 2009 June 04, 14:52:02
Same here, had the Reloaded version, copied my saved files and my library files.  Uninstalled and installed the Collectors copy.  Everything went smoothly and then installed all the store items from here.  No glitches at all.  I even let the launcher do its thing and nothing has happened.

My Sims show up in a Library Folder.  Every sim I create is in there.
61  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: TS3 Collectors Edition Car on: 2009 June 03, 12:58:08
I also purchased the CE version of the game but it would not install anything until I discovered that if you run the game and save once, everything starts working without a flaw.  Once I did that I could download Riverview and the car and install with no problems.  I also was able to install the bayside package that I downloaded from here but that one first needed to be run through the tool.

Anything I purchase from the site downloads and installs with no problem.
62  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Priceless - A reported Sims 3 event that brought tears to my eyes on: 2009 June 01, 19:59:07
I don't dare switch households.  I'm afraid of what might happen while I'm away from this one.  Right now I never switch households, I just copy the town and create new sims I want to play.  That way I just name each save as the person I am playing.
63  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Priceless - A reported Sims 3 event that brought tears to my eyes on: 2009 June 01, 18:31:46
Well, at least in TS3 it can go the other way.  I had once had a sim over who wanted to use his own laptop.  The thing is my house only has one desk, which one of my sim is already sitting at, so the sim pulled out his laptop, put it on my table and couldn't use it.  So he got stuck for a bit and then it is time for him to leave, so he walked out without his computer. I click on the computer and it works as if I had bought it, so I just let my sim have that laptop.

Well, a female sim I was playing invited a male over to build a relationship with and when he arrived he had a toddler with him.  I went into buy mode and bought a baby bed so that he could put it down while they interacted.  When it came time for him to leave he walked out and left the child!!!  Now she's stuck with this toddler which she will feed but mainly just ignores.  I invited him back to try to get him to take the child but he won't.

65  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Support the evil empire! Save a kittun! Give us money! on: 2008 August 20, 20:29:26
So I don't mind to donate as I download tons of stuff from here but it would be cool to get a title or something.  Can someone elaborate exactly what you get and for what donation levels?

I'd stay the hell away from Nvidia right now

http://www.engadget.com/2008/08/12/nvidia-g92-and-g94-gpus-failing-too/

Speaking from experience here.

I don't put too much stock into that report as the guy that wrote it is an avid Nvidia hater.  Now your personal experience does count.

God work really interferes with everything!!!

Did you miss a comma there, or do you work in a religious job?

My bad!!  I missed a comma!!!  But it is funny that way, is it not?  Well, unless you consider creating huge XML files for a communications company a religious job or experience.  Undecided

Edit:  To add a little
68  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hack for canceling out of automated prepare food from fridge? on: 2008 August 13, 12:50:44
Well I didnt have any problem finding it right away but after Sloppy gave me advice and I fixed my current setup I didn't have a chance to test it yet but I definitely will tonight when I get home from work.  God work really interferes with everything!!!
69  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hack for canceling out of automated prepare food from fridge? on: 2008 August 13, 01:04:55

I've just remembered something: Do you happen to have twojeffs' "food already available" fix? If so, you must get the NL version of this hack, or it will stop autonomous fridge use completely if there are leftovers (except for the stuff face, which you stomped with another hack). See this thread over at simbology for more details.

You were right on the money this was the problem!!! Thanks so much!
70  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Graphics Card opinions on: 2008 August 12, 15:39:50
Yes.  Stick with the ATI card; the rest of your specs look pretty good.  Maybe go with a little faster CPU -- the 3.0Ghz core 2 duos aren't that much more than the 2.5Ghz these days.

Why do you reccommend sticking with ATI?  I thought Nvidia was a much better card?  The reason I bring it up is that I'm in the process of building a new machine and I'm trying to decide which way to go.  I've used Nvidia and ATI and I always thought my Nvidia was better.  Does ATI work better for TS2?  What do you think TS3 will need?  I'm trying to plan ahead.

Leftovers Schmeftovers. In Soviet Russia, food eats YOU! Now available for selected audiences in test. Requires Macrotastics. Accept no Kewian-based substitutes.

Thank God!!! I'm so tired of testing leftovers!!!! I will test when I get home from work.  Yay Yay Yay!
72  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hack for canceling out of automated prepare food from fridge? on: 2008 August 12, 12:45:19
Have you tried the "all food hacks except the stuff face hack" variation? I have the leftover and auto-store hacks, too, and as long as there are leftovers in the fridge, I have neither face stuffing nor starving sims.

I think I did, I have tried so many variations but I'll give it another shot tonight when I get home from work.  Thanks for the help.
73  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hack for canceling out of automated prepare food from fridge? on: 2008 August 12, 12:42:51
Have you asked Dizzy about this?

No I haven't because I think Dizzy's hacks are working for others.  I have read some posts on other boards that people are having problems with Sims eating since Freetime but it only seems to be effecting some people and I seem to be one of them.
74  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hack for canceling out of automated prepare food from fridge? on: 2008 August 12, 02:21:43
Well here are the results of my testing.

First I took out all food related hacks.  They went back to the stuff face habit instead of eating.  They just want to stuff face.

Second I added hack for stuff face but no others.  They now prepare food as they use to then leave it sit until it goes bad or dispose of it but at least they eat.

Third I put in dizzys hack for auto store food and have a leftover.  They cook as usual but as soon as they put any food in the fridge as a leftover they will not cook or eat again, they will die first.

Fourth, I removed all hacks, forced them to cook and then put in as leftovers.  They would not cook again.

Tried some other variations but it all came down to leftovers.  As soon as a leftover was put in the fridge they would no longer eat.

This has only been since Freetime.
75  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Hack for canceling out of automated prepare food from fridge? on: 2008 August 11, 14:36:10
Yes that is the first thing I did to test to see if I had conflicting hacks and it reported none.  Also I checked to make sure I had the latest versions, but it does seem to be causing a problem in my game.  I only use a few non-awesome hacks but I always check them for conflicts.  I also removed all custom food from my downloads thinking it might be that but it wasn't.

I really like the idea behind that hack and I do have a few other hacks concerning food but again no reported conflicts so I might just remove anything food related and then replace them one at a time to see which one is causing the problem.
