Hehe gotta love the typos.   Cheesy

I'll suggest that next time he plays.  Thanks!   Grin
53  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Doing this for my brother *rolls eyes* on: 2006 October 23, 23:13:18
On behalf of my brother with the Italian Sim family of nine, I ask this question of y'all.

The adopted son of the said Italian Sim family of nine was shipped off to college.  Poor Vinny is stuck in freshman year with a progress bar that will not...well...progress.  My brother, which y'all will admire for, is anal about having his kids accumulate a ton of skillpoints, so of course poor Vinny had enough skillpoints to have the bar totally open to fill.  Vinny will go to class, and the meter is full at the little smidge that it is.

Either the game is telling my brother that Pleasure Sim Vinny should be loafing back in his father's mansion instead of picking up hot chicks in college, or the game is messed up due to something or other.  I had recently installed Pets over my other expansions.  No stuff packs.  I have all the MATY Pets hacks in there, as well as four of TwoJeff's hacks including the College Adjuster.  I did a force error on that lot four times and it did not produce a thing.  I'm a bit reluctant to do anything drastic, and my brother may or may not kill me if I do something to his poor Sim.

So what do y'all think?  This may've been touched on before but I'm reluctant to search the graveyard of old threads, if you know what I mean.   Roll Eyes

I've also heard stories of cats that lead double lives, having two "owners" that they arbitrarily move between, each owner thinking their cat is simply outside somewhere, when, in fact, it is with the other owner.

I think the male cat my family used to have was living a double life like that.  He'd sometimes be gone for weeks and then come back home and not recognize us.  He was still a pretty darn good cat.  Better than those good-for-nuthin' females; one was raised to distrust people and scratched hell out of them, the other was the equivalent of an airhead.   Roll Eyes

This dog my family has now, hoo boy.  She really has personality!   Grin
55  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Someone have the bonus of PETS? on: 2006 October 18, 01:24:57
I do believe that one can get the Star Dalmation Bonus free when you purchase the expansion from Target.  I'm not 100% sure on that though.
56  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I don't bloody credit this! on: 2006 October 08, 04:28:29
Make sure you have NPCs and Townies checked when you're doing the search.   Smiley
57  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I don't bloody credit this! on: 2006 September 30, 22:57:00
I do!  Grin Tongue

Then again, I had twins occur twice in a row, one of mothers happened to be an alien.  So now I have 2 homely looking girls, one that's green.   Roll Eyes
58  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is there any way to stop the "omigawd my husband's naked!" shock? on: 2006 September 28, 02:53:18
I like to think of the shock thing as "Oh my! I did not realize you were in there!" or "Oh dear, you left the door open while you're showering!"  Seems to be the circumstances for me. Roll Eyes
59  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Wildly improbable - two abductions...? on: 2006 September 24, 23:37:23
Hmm so I can assume that the townie that one Sim married had the token.  I can also assume that in the other family, either the female alien had the token, or the male that was adopted had the token.  Makes sense.   Smiley
60  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Wildly improbable - two abductions...? on: 2006 September 24, 23:23:15
In my first neighborhood, I had no natural abductions.  In my second neighborhood, I had one after I moved Stella Terrano, the alien college girl, into one of my dorms.  In my third neighborhood, after plopping the increased odds hack in there, I had two in a row:  one to my 2nd gen Legacy Challenge guy (right when he used the telescope too!) and then to one of my brother's Sims (it was a female).

I've also noticed an interesting trend with pregnancies resulting in twins.  In my third generation, I had 2 twin pregnancies in a row.  In the first neighborhood I had, I had a family have 2 twin pregnancies in the same family tree: gen 1 had twins, the daughter of gen 1 had a single, the daughter of gen 2 had twins.

When I had one of my Sims marry The Diva, she didn't bring in a lot of money as I thought she would.   Roll Eyes
62  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Ethnic Hair? on: 2006 September 13, 23:00:31
I wouldn't mind some ethnic hair for my latino/african american mixed Sims.  Unfortunately, because these people are mixed, they have big lips, poofy cheeks, and the #3 skintone.  Sometimes the #1 skintone and that looks worse!   Undecided
63  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: new hair from maxis on: 2006 September 10, 05:21:28
Did anyone else notice that the upload dates for both are from May?   Shocked

66  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: DEATH & DESTRUCTION to Lobster Thermidor on: 2006 August 17, 23:11:54
I've had one too many old Sims leave an unattended Lobster Thermidor because I wasn't paying attention to what they were doing.  I'd take it!  Grin
67  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: The Asylum Challenge? on: 2006 August 17, 23:10:04
At 8:11am on a Thursday (Sim time), Yvonne McCay completed the Chee-Z Modified Torture Townie Asylum Challenge.  The results were:

Skill pointage: (divided by 10 because I did not check to see what skillpoints they began with, oops!)= 26

Friends of the Household: 8

Aspiration Points: 141

Number of Days Yvonne was Institutionalized: 30 (what's scarier than an asylum filled with townies you hate? OLD TOWNIES!)

Total points scored: 145

Now what the heck am I gonna do with all these people? Should I send them back into the townie pool or...?  Embarrassed
68  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: The Asylum Challenge? on: 2006 August 16, 15:47:52
Yeah that's why I have 2 stoves in two different spots of the kitchen...double the firey goodness.   Cheesy
69  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: The Asylum Challenge? on: 2006 August 16, 03:12:43
Unfortunately teleporting townies is a flawed idea because they all have jobs.  But since I cannot control them to quit said jobs, I'm making them lose their jobs by random chance cards or not going to work.   Undecided
70  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: The Asylum Challenge? on: 2006 August 16, 00:29:07
I started the challenge today and so far I have one sane Sim and 7 townies that I dislike living in a crackerbox of a house with limited seating and sleeping.  Spiffy kitchen though.   Grin

So far I've had:

3 different kinds of aspiration failures
a minigame of "Career Card Random Challenge" where I roll a die and determine whether I pick option A or option B on the random career card thing, and so far I've had 3 people lose their jobs.  I thought that'd be an added touch, and I have $50,000 after starting with $100.   Grin and several promotions (dunno how the heck that happened...)
several people collapse from exhaustion
several people pee their pants
several people refuse to use the shower and are stinky
several people almost starve to death
one person almost burned to death (darn!)
several fires
several fights (Benjamin Long is mean!)
several people bogart the piano, expresso machine and chess set

and so far my "sane" Sim, Miss Yvonne McCay, is a tough lady who can kick any other Sim's *** three ways til Sunday, and is a getaway driver with a LTW to be a criminal mastermind.  Huzzah!   Grin

and the insane people are: Abhijeet Deppiesse, Benjamin Long, Goopy GilsCarbo (dunno how the hell this happened, but he's in Platnum!), Kennedy Long (Fortune Sim apparently, and was the first to lose his job and the first to go into aspiration failure), Andrea Hogan (who sleeps in her undies...wait...all of them do!), Christy Stratton, and Sandy Bruty.   Cheesy

71  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / The Asylum Challenge? on: 2006 August 15, 00:31:02
Seemed intriguing, found it on another Sims forum and they found it here:

http://simscout.blogsome.com/mini-challenge-asylum/

Not sure if this has already been posted, but essentially you have one person manning an insitution filled with uncontrollable "insane" people.  The object of the game is to gain the "sane" person's LTW.  And since I'm not the kind of person that wants to make a bunch of people to let them go insane, I was wondering what it'd be like if you teleported some townies in there to be the patients... Cheesy
72  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Dance Sphere Abductions on: 2006 August 13, 23:32:55
I've only had an alien abduction happen naturally one time, and it produced twins!  Shocked

I have the TJ hack and it's not really a cheat; it's more of a convenient boost.  So in the new neighborhood I have now, I've had a total of two alien abductions---one with my Sim and one with my brother's Sim.  Not bad, eh?  Cheesy

74  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My sims are turning into lushes. on: 2006 August 11, 01:11:13
I find it appropriate for Popularity, Pleasure and Romance Sims to be using the bar when they want one, but I'm not really sure why a Knowledge/Family/Fortune (well, Fortune is borderline) would use the bar religiously.  Then again, they don't really want a bar as much as the other three aspirations do...I guess it's also a personality quirk too...who knows *shrug*  Huh
75  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Fat Servo on: 2006 August 09, 23:15:55
Wait...Servos can eat? Mine hasn't... Sad Then again, I haven' noticed since Mr. Servo in my game is maxed out in every skill...he gets bored easily... Roll Eyes
