26  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pets patch released on: 2007 February 11, 14:21:18
I don't really want to have to uninstall the patch, since I have vampires and whatnot, but could somebody make a fix where a toddler with a dormie black haired dad and a red/black haired 5th gen mother does NOT get red hair and black eyebrows?

27  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pets patch released on: 2007 February 07, 18:27:05
I removed the downloads folder, installed the patch, and put the downloads folder back in.

It did fix the vampire hair problem!   Wink

Is fixing the problem with vampire hair worth doing if the consequences of installing this patch are...well...what y'all described?  I find it humorous that a vampire Sim went on a "biting spree" and the women he bit transitioned with Grand Vampire hair.   Cheesy

I've heard of Sims taking babies to work but wow!   Shocked

Here's an unfortunate pup of Abbey the adoptable dog and a husky I made in CAP:

Your dog reminds me of this dog's offspring with the other adoptable dog named Cleo.  It's cool to see what kind of fur combinations they can do...gotta love Sim genetics.   Wink

True.  Also, the old lady took the husband's name, so in a way it's HIS offspring, and he still exists...though he's dead...

Oh well.   Grin  Odd bug, though, taking people's Sims like that.  Wonder what causes it?  Just wanted to know if there was a way to restore her but I haven't been backing up my game as often as I should...ouchies.   Lips sealed
31  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: I do believe I lost the Legacy Challenge on: 2007 January 08, 00:32:24
Today I checked her dead husband and her dead son, and both have memories of an "Unknown."

"Got Married to Unknown."  "Learned to walk from Unknown."

So yeah this is odd.   Huh  Gives my Sim story an odd twist but it's disconcerting that a dead Sim can disappear like this.   Sad
32  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: I do believe I lost the Legacy Challenge on: 2007 January 06, 21:42:48
Since I'm on generation 6, no one alive would have memories of Kiara, the dead missing old lady.

HOWEVER, I tried looking for memories of her in the robot she built, Bender, and the only slight trace of her existence is that of an invisible memory that she married BJ Cormier, a downtownie.  But there are no other memories, like "Met Kiara" or "Kiara passed away," which is odd, because he would have been there and was built by her.

I could dig through memories of townies and downtownies that may have interacted with her, but that's gonna be a pain in the butt.

I do believe I have that mod installed, and I cannot find her anywhere in SimPE.  Funny thing is, I don't remember ever actually clicking on her tombstone and deleting it; I know for fact that if that mod is installed and she had been deleted accidentally, she obviously would not be found... Huh

So there's no hope in retrieving this Sim is there?
34  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / I do believe I lost the Legacy Challenge on: 2007 January 06, 00:23:38
I'm on generation six, but for some reason the tombstone of my founding mother has disappeared.  Her character file is gone.  There are no traces that she even existed, such as the family tree not having her picture or the fact that her robot only has a hidden memory that she had gotten married.

If this is what happens when a tombstone is, say, accidentally deleted...hoo boy.  Don't know how that happened.

Would the first Sim that I made for a blank neighborhood have a character file of 000 or 001?  I have two robots that seem to have replaced a 000 and a 017.
35  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Looking for sims on: 2007 January 03, 23:50:54
Could try the Made-Up Animals section of this forum.  Self-Sims for the win!   Grin
36  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: This has to be some sort of record on: 2007 January 03, 23:48:02
Man I gotta share MY Sim's family tree.  Three sets of twins in one generation!  Fortunately in different households...

Never have had it give me 3 or even 2 in a row!  Geez  Undecided
37  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sims missing from load screen pictures on: 2007 January 02, 04:00:46
I have a Sim family with two grandparents, parents, a son, two dogs and two robots.  The parents did not show up on the loading screen.  When the father died from a ghost scare and was resurrected, his picture appeared in the loading screen, but the son disappeared.  When the son moved out and the robots were built, both parents do not show up...again.

Not sure if it's a glitch as a result of having too many people on the lot or what.  It's just annoying and doesn't affect gameplay at all.
38  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Incest. A game for all the family. on: 2006 December 25, 22:05:28
I see nothing wrong wrong with that tree. It looks fine to me, no missing links or other anomalies. Everything is exactly where you'd expect it to be.

So it's normal?  Wow that's a first in my neighborhood!   Cheesy
39  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Incest. A game for all the family. on: 2006 December 25, 03:36:15
I had an odd family relationship involving aliens as well.

This is Gustavo Nova's family tree:

This is his daddy Castor's tree:

The Pollination Tech's:

And Estrella Cormier, whose family Castor married in to:

40  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Weivtnasaelp: a reversed Pleasantview on: 2006 December 20, 03:05:54
I went into SimPE and reversed the attraction meters to reflect the Sims' new genders.  Not sure if that did anything, but Cassius Goth and Donna Lothario got hitched!   Shocked

Though Donna appears to be a bisexual in that she loves guys and dolls.  Oh boy...
41  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Annoying Santa on: 2006 December 15, 03:39:18
Huh, I never knew that!   Cheesy

I don't see the point in holiday packs myself.  The objects I downloaded from the Exchange as well as the objects from the giveaway last year? have given me a nice collection of holiday decor (that I rarely use!).  I could care less if I have Peepee Claus.   Roll Eyes
42  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Alien eyes for pets? on: 2006 December 06, 00:23:10
I had fun making an alien cat for my robot (pictured in my avatar) but I just gave the cat mismatched green eyes.  It would've been neat to have had the alien black eyes.   Shocked
43  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pet pregnancy questions on: 2006 November 25, 02:34:33
That is so odd my dog worked right up to delivery ...Im not kidding either..the minute she hopped out of the car.  New puppies are on the way!..One time it crashed my game. But it did it again anyway. No option to stay at home for my petz.

One of my Sim dogs had that happen to her as well:  she kept working until those puppies were to be born.  In fact, the queue was spammed with actions to deliver the puppies while she was at work!  She finally popped those pups out on the street when she got home, poor thing.   Undecided
44  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: A question about custom eye-colours. on: 2006 November 08, 04:40:46
That's interesting, because I'm on generation 5 in my neighborhood and my original matriarch's custom eye color has practically disappeared in later generations.   Huh
45  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: If this is a glitch I hope it is never fixed. on: 2006 November 04, 04:13:13
I have a Servo that's permaplat but he does not have this glitch.  It would be very useful.   Grin

I'm a cat AND dog person! :O

Bailey for me.   Undecided
49  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pet pregnancy questions on: 2006 October 25, 22:33:55
I'm assuming it is a glitch concerning putting a pet wombat into the Sim's inventory.  When I moved the guy out of the house, the glitch was conveniently gone.   Roll Eyes
50  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pet pregnancy questions on: 2006 October 25, 01:28:47
Speaking of pet pregnancies, are wombats and birds supposed to get pregnant?

Because I tried the "Propose, Move In" to a dormie and it popped up with a "You cannot move anyone in until the babies are born!" message.  I have a wombat and a bird, and this is a college rental property.  I've been having too many problems with that stupid college.   Roll Eyes

Edit:  would it have something to do with moving Panda the Wombat from a a college student's old home via the inventory?
