Yeah I have two oldsters that the game still thinks are alive. Maybe it was due to the fact that I moved the Curious bros over to my custom neighborhood (oops oh well...). But yeah...Pascal and Vidcund's wife are still in the loading screen of the Curious house, even though their tombstones are in the Nirvanaville graveyard. And that's one harsh mod to have miscarriages happen.

I had an alien teen lose his face at one point. I'd change his appearance and the problem would come back again whenever he came home from school or work. He went from having an alien face to having a default human face at the end of his teen years. Makes a handsome guy though, when he went off to college the problem ceased and he had a human face with alien skin and eyes.

Yeah The Diva steals my Sims newspapers. She'll walk by, primp herself, then look around before stealing the newspaper and running away. None of my Sims know this lady very well, so it's odd.

I have a neighborhood filled with game and anime characters. They may not look like who they're named after, but oh well. One of them married Ivy Copur, and their kids were Portulaca, Narcissus and Hyacinth. The aliens were named Starboy and Boba Fett. Starboy had Andromeda, who had Astro and Haley. Boba Fett had Leia and Luke (who is the lovely vampire pictured in my avatar, joy!).

Hmm if Vidcund Curious was supposed to have missing DNA, then why did the Vidcund in my game have children (both alien baby and a baby with his wife) normally, without lock-ups? Though now I remember that the alien baby that he did have had face problems...Poor Boba Fett, his alien face got fixed by not appearing at all... Though I don't know if that was due to genetics or something else...

So far my fourth generation toddlers have such awful facial features. Astro and Haley are twins; Astro looks evil and has alien features from his grandfather, but he has normal skin. Haley has alien skin but has poofy cheeks and otherwise normal features. Vivian is their cousin and her parents are the cutest people, but she has scrunched up eyes and high cheekbones like her cousins. Same grandfather Maybe? Vivian's mother and the twins' father are siblings, but Vivian is not blood related to the twins' maternal grandfather...God I have such a messed up family tree.

I'm sorry for your loss. I've had to abandon ship on Nirvanaville because of memory dumps (Darn you blue screen of death!) and the fact that my third and fourth generation children were turning out so hideously. Ack, frustrating.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The Sims2 for PSP Review for those Interested...

I played the demo of Sims 2 for PS2 on the Official US Playstation Magazine demo disc. My God that demo was awful. It looked and played horribly. I dislike that the storymode feature does not allow you to configure your Sim's looks, so I had one fugly woman to try the demo with. The making meals thing was ok, but tedious at best. Moving your Sim around is nifty, but I don't know how this will be if you wanted to control more than one person. Socialization was awful---the fugly woman I controlled was able to woohoo this Sim named Larry within 2 Sim hours. And of course you couldn't control the speed of time, and showering takes FOREVER. And the demo was timed, so all I could do was woohoo, shower, and fiddle with the fridge.

...you've found your boyfriend online. *raises hand* I met him on an online message board (for a PS2 mag) and we have been talking with each other for more than two years and have been a couple for more than a year and a half. It's hard b/c we live in different countries (he in Canada, me in US of A) but we were able to visit each other over the summer. So yeah...I'm an internet geek.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: *sigh* I depise the Pleasure sims LTWs
|

I have a couple of Pleasure Sims. Both are in college and rarely get platnum unless they're dating (or got engaged like one just did today). It's pretty dull to see these Sims want to go on outings or dates or run around in their pjs and play the guitar all the time. I now have teddy bears all over the houses they live in because that's the only toy they can use (stupid want). 50 First Dates are impossible for the male Pleasure Sim because he doesn't seem interested in anyone or anything except himself. The female Pleasure Sim was a former Money Sim that changed to suit her fiance (a Pleasure vampire). Fortunately she just wants to be a Celebrity Chef, so that works. I don't really like this aspiration very well and would like to change Drake's aspiration to something else, but he's always in the green and he doesn't know how to make grilled cheese sandwiches yet.

Today I had my first Sims become vampires. It was also the first time I experience people sleeping in the coffin when they're not supposed to. It's funny that Heather Huffington loathes vampires yet I caught her sleeping in "Countess" Tiffany Sampson's coffin. Fortunately I already had Myne Doors installed in every sorority chicks' bedroom, so a lock was put on Tiffany's door.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Alternate reality neighborhood
|
on: 2005 November 21, 04:02:46

I sort of have an alternate reality Curious household. I packaged the house and moved them into my custom neighborhood. At this point the brothers were not getting wants for abduction or weren't getting abducted anymore. They had two alien babies cooking in the proverbial oven at this point. Needless to say, Pascal and his son Starboy, the Alien Biker Criminal Mastermind, moved out and lived in their own little house. Vidcund was single until he became attracted to his brother's wife's sister, Aerith, and had a son with her. So he has an alien son, Boba Fett the Space Pirate Criminal Mastermind, and Enoch, the Artist. Lazlo married a family Sim and had two sons with her: Pepé the lazy cop who married a Romance Sim with a really long last name, and Beel, who's in college. Now all Curious brothers are dead from old age, Pascal and Vidcund having platnum stones since they achieved permaplat. Vidcund's wife Aerith is also dead, and Lazlo's wife Yuna is currently recovering from Aspiration Meltdown by dating a gardner.
