126  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Una Problema (SimPE Noob Speaking -_-) on: 2006 February 18, 19:19:49
I have a Sim named Franz.  Franz has a custom skin tone and custom eyes (pale skin and blue-gray eyes).  His wife, Paine, has normal skin tone and custom eyes (lightest default skin and red eyes).  In SimPE, Franz passes on his nose, mouth and eyes (and skin, since it's custom); Paine passes of her nose, cheek, cheekbones, eyes, jaw, and ears.  When Franz and Paine had their first child, it looked just like Franz, with the custom eyes and skin, the hooked nose, etc.  When Franz and Paine had their second child, it was the same thing over again (not to mention another boy, I think I have a neighborhood ratio problem too).  I used the Rerandomizer thing on the Lot Debugger box...will that solve my dillema?  Is there a way to make it so baby #2 will look like a Paine clone rather than another Franz clone?

I have a box of trout and rocks ready for hitting me, I tried using the search engine on here and apparently I don't use it very well...damn you, impatience!  Cheesy
127  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Valentine's Day Maxis Content on: 2006 February 09, 00:05:28
Last year was my first Valentine's day with a boyfriend, and we splurged on gifts.  This year we're going to make each other something.   Cheesy

I downloaded the glasses, and I'm thinking about downloading the teddy...can never have too many teddys... Tongue  The pj's are atrocious.   Undecided
128  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: helpful ghosts on: 2006 February 08, 03:34:42
Amazing.  I had Aerith the Knowledge Elder see her brother-in-law's ghost (on accident, I wasn't even looking) and not only did it fulfill her want to see the ghost, she also died from fright.   Grin
129  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nina and Dina bore me to tears on: 2006 January 31, 00:38:41
I played the house in which the Caliente sister clones were placed.  Whoever the blonde one is most certainly a b***h and hates Don's guts.   Grin  Oddly enough Don won the next fight after that one, which is amusing...
130  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What /is it/ with Joe Carr and twins? >> on: 2006 January 30, 02:36:53
Hmm wonder if Goopy GilsCarbo had the token in my game...poor Paine had twins with him, the daughter being witchy b/c of the daddy genes.   Cheesy
131  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nina and Dina bore me to tears on: 2006 January 30, 02:33:03
I've never really played Pleasantview in the whole time I've owned the game, but on a whim I cloned Dina and Nina and put them into my second custom neighborhood along with Don.  I moved all three into a house with two other CAS sims, and when the three went to visit the Curious Cloned Brothers next door when they moved in...well...let's just say they all had a nice b**** slap fest.  Way to be neighborly.   Cheesy

Also, I put the exact number of personality points for Dina and Nina, but they had different Zodiac signs than what they had in Pleasantview.  Odd.   Huh
132  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is the Reaper tougher to beat? on: 2006 January 29, 03:30:12
I had a frat bro save his fellow roomie from the Reaper, but he only had a 60/60 relationship with the guy.  It was odd... Undecided

134  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: 8 playable Sims, 1 Dorm on: 2006 January 16, 02:22:29
Hehe, WoW... Grin  I usually send several off to college at once, and split them up when necessary.
135  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cripes I did it again on: 2006 January 14, 23:49:41
Hmm I probably need to use that lot timer too...the ages are pretty off...I've had second generation people marry third generation... Embarrassed
136  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: HACK REQUEST: more want variety for teens and uni students on: 2006 January 13, 23:07:44
All my Family Sims who have gone through college struggled.  Yet all of the kids I've sent through college (with the exception of a few Popularity Sims...darn you Pepe and Wakka!) have made 3.5's and up.
I'm sure you just suck at it. Family sims are no worse than any other sims in college. Even if they do spend their time losing ASP because there's absolutely nothing family-related they can do.

Boring, yes.  Managing 10 kids at a time, very challenging.   Cheesy
In the sense of "putting your neighborhood back together from the smoking wreckage after it explodes sometime after the third generation", maybe. Run the numbers: 10 kids -> 100 grandkids -> 1000 great grandchildren -> 10000 great-great-grandchildren = BFBVFS. 10 kids is not a behavior that your neighborhood can survive. To actually play out a family sim to that extent is a policy that will eventually render your neighborhood unplayable. Zero population growth pretty much has to be the key.

I probably do suck at it.  Yet I keep trying anyway.  I finally resorted to putting those Family Sims on a stern regiment to keep them occupied.

I definitely know this neighborhood is going to implode on itself.  I made the mistake of fulfilling the "Marry 6 Kids Off" LTW, and now those kids have married and are having kids of their own.  Not to mention that there are three different "clans" in that neighborhood...I have about 70-80 playable Sims in my neighborhood, and I've attempted to keep the "notownieregen" mod in the ol' downloads file to slow down the population increase.  Unfortunately I did not delete the townies out of my neighborhood before creating all these damn people...so yeah...my neighborhood is going to implode, and I've had it since I bought the base game in October 2004.  At least I've limited it down to one baby per couple.   Undecided

Ah Robotic Pirate Ghosts...it was something along those lines...I wasn't too big of a fan of R&C3 but the mini-game sidescroller shooter levels were fun.  I think R&C1 and 2 are the best ones....I'll probably rent Deadlocked.  As for the Jak series, I really do like Jak 3, and I'd like to try Jak X since I was a big fan of Crash Team Racing...but anyway... Grin  I'm still thinking over Open for Business... not quite sure what to think of it...maybe when it gets closer to release I'll be more interested... Undecided

Maybe so, it's been awhile.   Roll Eyes
140  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: All my plans Ruined! on: 2006 January 11, 02:36:53
Yeah I looked at it again...I swear I cannot tell if this is four or three lightening bolts (btw I dressed Heather Huffington in a frilly dress, seems to suit her Cheesy):

141  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: All my plans Ruined! on: 2006 January 10, 00:48:17
Yeah they're pretty close at 4.  When I first had it happen, the two college kids already had girlfriend/boyfriend relationships with other people.  Once their lovers graduated, they were left in the house alone...and they had 4 bolts.   Shocked  Autonomous flirting and everything... Roll Eyes

Edit:  Huh, interesting...so it is really three...I better go look at that again.   Huh Undecided
142  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: All my plans Ruined! on: 2006 January 10, 00:40:20
It is possible;  I've have several couples with four lightening bolts.   Smiley
143  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: New Open for Busioness Video 1/05/05 on: 2006 January 09, 04:12:18
Ah Ratchet and Clank 3...Robotic Ghost Pirate Ninjas... Grin

I wouldn't mind the ninjas.  The business prospect I'm still trying to figure into my neighborhood...
144  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: All my plans Ruined! on: 2006 January 09, 02:01:01
Yeah for some odd reason, all my third generation kids who graduated from college kept thinking and talking about Jane Stacks, including hearts flying around her picture.  None of them knew her very well, none of them had attraction to her.  Maybe they were impressed that she had 4 lightening bolts for Martin Ruben.  Who knows at this point, it was just random stuff.   Roll Eyes
145  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Zombies on: 2006 January 07, 20:19:12
I was threatening to make my bro's ugly Sim grandchildren into zombies, but I spared them.  I couldn't think of deliberately kililng them off since I grew to like them.  So I gave the granddaughter plastic surgery to make her look more like her mom, and the grandson became a vampire.  Now he looks like almost catlike.   Cheesy
146  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: ARRRGH!! Sick of Blue Nurseries!!! on: 2006 January 07, 05:26:30
I've had times when I'd get all girls, and times when I'd get all boys.  This has resulted in second generation boys marrying and having children with third generation girls in my neighborhood.   Undecided
147  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I vant you to bite my neck! Bleh! on: 2006 January 07, 04:03:36
My encounter was pretty random.  I sent a college Sim to Rodney's Hideout and lo and behold there was her future vampire husband.   Cheesy
148  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: No longer amused. Anyone know what's up with the Social Workers? on: 2006 January 07, 03:12:24
Lazlo Curious's widow in my game somehow got the gardener as a blind date.  Makes a pretty interesting story once that guy moved in.   Cheesy
149  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: faceless guy on: 2006 January 06, 02:23:51
Or Boba Fett the Space Pirate Criminal Mastermind and his sidekick Starboy the Space Biker.   Roll Eyes

Yeah I probably could've.  Cheesy
