TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How do people have sims die of disease?

I had a sim die of the flu once. I don't even think he was sick for more then 4 or so days, so much for the prima guide's "10 days", lol. I immediately got his adult daughter to bring him back with the ressurect-o-nomitron because I was going for the "have 10 kids" want with that couple and they'd only had 8.
My favourite method for killing sims is the "Runs with scissors" playset, I've used if to get a sim's "be saved from death" want.

I think tokens are used to keep track of whether rivalry has been resolved somehow. So, a "don't mess with romantic rival" would probably keep track of when to stop doing romantic rival socials. Yeah the "don't mess with romantic rival" thing happens after your sim clobbers a rival totally in a fight, it means that they will never ever be a romantic rival to that sim again.

I have two perma plat uni grads, I've been cycling them through careers to earn the rewards, they get promotions easily because they are always in a perfect mood and they have good skills and the bonus for graduating Summa Cum Laude means they can get career rewards and good jobs very quickly. They are about to be elders though, no idea what I will do with them once I can't cycle them through jobs anymore.

I just had that happen tonight, one of my sims and a downtownie got into a feud, ended up furious with each other (they actually hd a brawl which my sim lost ) and then my sim rolled up a want to see the annoying downtownie's ghost.

I totally agree, I was hoping they'd remove the "everybody swoons over Romance sims" thing with Nightlife seeing as there is now a seperate "attraction" system. but they are still doing it and it makes no sense as there is a "proper" attraction system now.

I like my sims happily married with 1.5 kids and (since I got Nightlife) a car. I've only had straight couples, I don't have anything against homosexual people, in fact I am hugely in favour of gay/lesbian marriage, i just love the genetics/generations/child raising aspects of the game too much to have non-reproductive couples in my game. My married sims do not noramlly cheat because I disapprove strongly of such things. They often do not marry their first love (they have romances with townies as teens a lot and I only sometimes feel like putting the townies through college), but once they are married they stick to their partners like glue untill the Grim Reaper parts them, I have had some sims that had a brief fling after their spouise died of old age before they died of old age, but that was because I wanted them in platinum and they spun up a want to flirt with a good friend of their's and I thought "what the heck, he'll be diead in two days, his wife's already dead, no harm done".
Romance sims of course, do not always follow these rules, I've had a number of bisexual romance sims, and a number who cheated on their spouse. I have one in college now (I am going to change his aspiration soon though) who had fun with every girl in his dorm before moving into a priviate residence, and then he had more fun with them afterwards (he only got to woohoo one of them in the dorms because I didn't want him being caught).
a few things that I do do that are differant are that I don't always make the woman take the man's name, sometimes it is the other way around, and I routinity make my sim's woohoo before marriage (though they usually only try for baby before marriage if one is a Romance sim with a fear of getting engaged/married and I want them to have kids.

Also, I'm going to hijack this a little bit with a question. Is "no lightning bolt" a rating in itself? That is, if you have a sim check out another sim and no lightning bolt appears, is this because something is broken, or just because they are indifferent to each other? Yes that is what it means a crossed out lightening bolt means that they are repelled, no lightning bolt is neutral, one is some attraction, 2 is lots of attraction and 3 means they can't keep their hands off each other and if one of them is maried to somebody else and the spouse in the same room then you are in trouble.

I moved a teen townie to college with one of my sims, and then I found out that he had a memory of getting his first kiss with my sim's MOTHER. I had forgotten that she got her first kiss with him. That was a bit *odd* to say the least. And icky.

Bah. If it were up to me, there'd be the uncancellable interaction called "Road Waffle!", and a new ghost look to go with it. I have an image of a ghost that is flattened out like a pancake and floats around like that.

Hey, whats with the timer thingy on a sims face icon in the friends list? My popularity sim sometimes has a 'friend' in her list and it has a mesh type picture over her face which slowly clears away like the hands on a clock? Am i making sense?? I have a bad headache today. Shouldn't even be on the computer. That would be a contact. Sims get them from good dates. All sims can have contacts. i am geting a little annoyed with the fact that sims seem to get crushes soo much easier now and they seem to flirt automonously more and I've had two cow mascots that have caused my sims to become furious with their boyfriends because the cow mascot flirted.

If I understand this correctly, those sims HAVE interacted with other sims? If not, it's bad. If they did, it's DOUBLE bad! In either case, my answer would be NO! The safe approach would be to open up each character with SimPE (which still doesn't work with NL?), delete all their memories, INCLUDING the memories regarding that particular sim other sims have, and their relations with all other sims (this is where interaction comes to play), then it'd be safe to delete them. It works now. There is a new verssion up that is Nightlife aware.

thank you Crannyboy your version of lesswhiny is working fine. The incessant whinyness was the thing that always annoyed me the most that and the damn phone and the fact that my sim kids seem to want to hide their homework.

However, there is good news. Boris has the game now, and I'll have the package shortly. Unfortunately, SimPE still doesn't actually work with Nightlife yet at last check. Actually there is a NL compatiable version up now. It works for me to fixing the bug with teens I moved in with boolprop not aging properly (their "days remaining" gets set to 100 for some odd reason, I don't have any problems with kids I moved in with boolprop or adults just teens for some odd reason can't figure THAT one out).
