TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful Than You! September: WTF?

All my floor tiles are at least $2. I've got plenty of $20 floors and walls. I bump the prices up for a lot of CC I download. Money is so easy to come by. Besides, I don't like the weird cheaty-ness of the bargain basement prices, and I get super tired of using the same old Maxis crap when I want expensive stuff.
It does rather tick me off that no one ever puts the prices or motive scores of items in download info. I still find that hard to get my head around; I'm used to modding communities in which everything important is spelled out and in which gameplay is of paramount importance.

This won't win any prize, no doubt, but it seems to fit JM's definition of a WTF item That actually looks pretty neat, and could be pretty decorative with the right recolor, in a bizarre, sci-fi way. I agree. The spheres could be made to look like planets, for instance. My biggest "wtf" is about people who price things absurdly low. I usually delete those immediately; I have to really love something to bother opening SimPE and changing the price. Why would anyone want a $10 double bed? Also, don't $0 floors and walls plummet the environment rating? I have fortune Sims to think of, and for people who want to cheat, there's always motherlode.

Edited because I had a hack I didn't realize I had. I really need to stop posting in the middle of the night.
However, this is still relevant:
Also, has anyone else noticed the fruit punch keg advertising a lot more? I've had a keg in my Sims' Greek house for 4 generations, and I've never had problems with it before. Tonight, everyone obsessed over it so much that I had to move it to the shed of items no one may use along with the bubble blower and remote control car.

I rarely give toddlers any toys but the rabbit head. It lets them build charisma early, and it's a good way for them to make friends. It can be irritating to cancel them out of playing with it to interact with them in some other way, but I've done it so many times by now that I'm used to it.

Are you people all just stupid?
Apparently . For some reason I thought EAxis had been creative and put adventure/puzzle elements into the game. Which... yeah, that was pretty dumb, thinking EAxis would get inventive with gameplay like that.

If only I'd known you had to make friends with the Old Man, it would have saved a lot of time.
Heh, no kidding. I was thinking in a normal game goal-oriented fashion. I wish it were a puzzle instead of a boring friendship requirement.

The pillow fight want will be looked into as part of wfsanity...if it hasn't already.
I have wfsanity and they're still wanting to pillow fight, no matter how serious they are... unless there's a new version since like 2 days ago? *goes to look*

To learn Tai Chi, I don't think I ever bowed. I had my Sim serve tea, then rake the Zen garden, then meditate in the Zen garden, then fish with the old guy, then give him a fish (remembering the saying "give a man a fish"). Somewhere in there I also had her play with the pile of leaves he'd raked (it seemed Zen). Then he started to do Tai Chi and I joined him, which is how my Sim learned Tai Chi. I hadn't seen anyone else do Tai Chi until I went to his lot.
I remember getting special sounds for serving tea, meditating in the Zen garden, and doing Tai Chi with the old man.

Stuff like this makes me wish to understand more about modding, to make custom legends and animations.
I don't like how much things spread; I would prefer them to be completely unspreadable, actually, so that to learn them a Sim would have to actually go on the right vacation and perform the correct actions. But I do like the idea behind them, and would love to be able to make a completely custom vacation destination with new greetings and everything.

Someone suggested going to the secret lot..that's where they learned the movement (from the old man). Went there numerous times. No Tai Chi. Oh well.
They were right. You have to do the old man's task. Then your Sim will learn Tai Chi and never want to do anything else. It's not like the greetings. I haven't encountered any other of the bugs you listed.

Sim seating behavior has always been stupid. I've given up on having a patio table or breakfast nook, because then I invariably get Sims sitting all over the place. I can see this getting even worse with hotels.

They didn't make it as an option? That's really lame. As for children being left alone in an unlocked hotel room--the only thing I can think of is that you wouldn't want them trapped in there if there were a fire. In this case, the children were all too young to even know about getting out if there was a fire. At that age they should have been in earshot all the time - it only takes moments for a toddler or baby to choke on vomit or something. In this case, it sounds like the children would have been better off if they had been left totally alone. Rather than murdered by their parents .

I found him. He had somehow been put into the Bendett family. This is a bug I've never heard of before. I guess I missed him the first time I went through all the families with the teleporter painting. Everyone's relationships seem to be intact. However, the runaway Sim is missing a whole bunch of memories, from meeting people to making friends to WooHooing. At least he remembers getting married, as well as every single tour he went on . Both the Sims remember going on a Far East vacation, though of course neither of them got the want fulfilled for doing so.

In similar silliness, my sims got chased by bees when returning from a tour (I lost a chance card and it was very funny to see). But, they still have a green memory of a great tour.
My Sims got chased by bees twice and puked once. They apparently loved every minute of it. Are there any differences between good chance cards and bad ones, besides the mood drop for bad ones?

Try to find him via the neighborhood browser in SimPE.
I did. He's not there. There are three "unknown" Sims with messed-up info in the family. I believe I can figure out which one was him, as it has the most complex data. But I have no idea how to restore him, or if that's even possible. I hope this is just a fluke and not a Vacation bug. He learned to teleport, for instance; I hope that's not broken. ZiggyDoodle: I'm glad to hear it was a one-time thing for you, I was worried that it was going to start happening throughout my game.

My Sim booked a vacation for Sunday on a Monday. On Wednesday, she spun up the want "go on a far east vacation". I locked it. It never got fulfilled, not when she went on the vacation, not when she came back. Should this want be "book far east vacation" instead, or is it just broken?
Hotel maids don't touch dishes, from what I've seen. "Luckily" the dishwasher in the hotel my Sims stayed in was readily accessible. It's a feature!
One of my Sims learned to teleport by answering "courage", the other one failed to learn because she answered "courage". I would guess it's completely random, which is annoying.

One of my Sims has completely disappeared. He didn't get out of the shuttle when returning from vacation. He had been previously borked on like the 5th day of vacation; he was stuck in the cab and I had to summon him then force a reset on him to get him back. Then he started acting like a guest of my other Sim -- like a noncontrollable pet, basically. I also had to finagle quite a bit to actually end the vacation. Finally my one controllable Sim was able to get the shuttle, and she and her bugged husband got into it. Unfortunately, when she got home, her husband was completely and utterly gone. He can't be summoned.
From everything I've read, I'm guessing my Sim is gone forever. Is this a sign that this neighborhood is irretrievably corrupt? It's just Veronaville, I use it to test expansion packs. I'd like to get this particular Sim back if possible, though. Am I sol?
