1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: BV: hair style for the newly spawned on: 2007 September 23, 20:52:41
I just had a girl grow up from baby to toddler with a custom hair style. It was even buggier than usual getting her to age up at all Tongue but she did wind up with different hair.
2  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: RandomStuff: Configurable "dice rolling" program on: 2007 June 25, 23:43:48
I made up a thingy for making prosperity hoods. Just a few items that should help minimize some of the re-rolling, heh.
3  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Game go boom during loading on: 2007 May 20, 02:21:40
Yep yep, what Hook said. Makes no damn sense at all Tongue
4  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Game go boom during loading on: 2007 May 19, 15:15:12
*blink* Err nope, it doesn't. All I did was add the locktiles cheat, why would that crash the game? Huh

ETA: Here's what I added, did I do something wrong? Is the alias too long?

alias locktilesoff "boolProp locktiles false"
alias locktileson "boolProp locktiles true"

and

boolprop locktiles false

ETA #2: I removed the line of the cheat itself and it loaded fine. WTF Tongue
5  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Game go boom during loading on: 2007 May 19, 12:26:55
For the last few days I have been getting the dreaded "This application has crashed. This application will terminate" error message while the game is loading. The biggest change I made between game loading and game asploding is I tweaked the startup cheat file Tongue No new hacky things other than some updates of Pescado hacks. Deleting groups.cache and cigen.package does not help. Bodyshop loads and works fine.

I'm attaching the logs though they don't look terribly helpful to me, but I dunno what else to do Tongue Anyone have any ideas, other than the obvious that all JenWs are stupid and suck?
6  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: RandomStuff: Configurable "dice rolling" program on: 2007 May 19, 11:57:15
Heh yeah I swiped names from various creators and Simming peeps Smiley When I first compiled all these names I was going to make my own live.package, but I'm too lazy and I never finished it Tongue Help yourself Smiley
7  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: RandomStuff: Configurable "dice rolling" program on: 2007 May 19, 11:37:19
I meant to go through and divvy up the names into different types, but in the meantime I'll share my name files in case anyone wants to use them with Hook's groovy tool. Lots of different nationalities, normal names, unusual names, a few fantasy type names.
8  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Pre-Seasons clothing enabled as Outerwear | Update 6 on: 2007 May 07, 23:27:36
Being tacky and double-posting.

Turns out the culprit was...another Simsbaby mod. The ones enabling GLS stuff for elders, unfortunately  Undecided I pulled those two mods and suddenly I have long wool coats in outerwear.
9  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: RandomStuff: Configurable "dice rolling" program on: 2007 May 07, 02:07:07
I made a couple of config files for pet names for use with this, attached in case anyone is interested Smiley I'm probably going to do some for Sim names to, categorized.

Jen
10  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Pre-Seasons clothing enabled as Outerwear | Update 6 on: 2007 April 22, 22:45:58
Errr, it's not really a mesh problem, as these just recategorize existing Maxis clothes.
11  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Pre-Seasons clothing enabled as Outerwear | Update 6 on: 2007 April 22, 22:19:22
Hmm they aren't showing up for me, but then I've had an amazing amount of Sim file weirdness this weekend Cheesy
12  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Pre-Seasons clothing enabled as Outerwear | Update 6 on: 2007 April 22, 17:06:06
Would it be possible for these coats from the glamour pack be added as outerwear?

13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sending townie teens to uni on: 2007 April 09, 02:28:49
I tested Ness' scenario #3, and I got the same results. I played a Sim through uni, created townies, then went back to the uni. No teens were available to send to college.
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Odd things I noticed about Seasons on: 2007 March 03, 10:32:23
Squinge's hack did indeed turn out to be the culprit. Thanks nikita and gynarchy Smiley
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Odd things I noticed about Seasons on: 2007 March 03, 09:28:07
Ah k, I'll pull it and see if that helps.

No homegrown produce, I'm getting it with Riverblossom unplayed lots, both the Wan and the McGreggor.
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Odd things I noticed about Seasons on: 2007 March 03, 09:19:25
I do, but I updated to the Seasons version. I guess that doesn't mean it's not the problem though Tongue
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Odd things I noticed about Seasons on: 2007 March 03, 08:09:50
I'm in the Wan household, and I do not have an option to plan their everyday clothes. Anyone else seen this?

Edit to add: all of my food sparkles as well.
18  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Tutorial: Clean custom neighbourhoods + townie creation (pre-Pets only!) on: 2006 November 23, 16:17:50
Okay this is weird. As I said, I have Pets. I tried the renaming method the other night and still ended up with a folder full of character files, so I assumed it had not worked and later deleted the hood without playing it. I forgot about renaming the N001 folder under Program Files back. Yesterday I created another new hood, thinking I was going to end up with the usual Goopy and Ben. First odd thing I noticed was that I was getting different NPCs. No Dagmar or Pao delivering the mail, no Maura or Neil the fireman. Eventually I realized that it must be because of the folder being renamed. So, maybe this *does* work for Pets, but you still get loads of char files? Tongue Maybe all of those were just animals...I didn't think to look at them in SimPE before I deleted the hood.

I did get strays and wolves and skunks without having to spawn anything btw, and at least some of the strays are the default ones (Scout the little black dog and Allegra the grayhound or whatever she is).
19  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Tutorial: Clean custom neighbourhoods + townie creation on: 2006 November 19, 16:51:39
* JenW double-checks

k it's actually 157 files...still way too many.
20  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Tutorial: Clean custom neighbourhoods + townie creation on: 2006 November 19, 16:26:06
No, I haven't checked them yet...I have the game open right now but I'll check later. There are a *LOT* though...IIRC around 165  Shocked
21  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Tutorial: Clean custom neighbourhoods + townie creation on: 2006 November 19, 13:31:23
I have Pets and I tried to do this last night...I renamed the correct folder in step 1 but I still ended up with a whole slew of character files. Maybe Pets changed something?
22  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Sim gets spaghetti, spaghetti disappears, repeat (logs attached) on: 2006 November 13, 03:27:15
Bingo! I replaced the counters and we have spaghetti Cheesy

Thanks so much! You rock Cheesy
23  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Sim gets spaghetti, spaghetti disappears, repeat (logs attached) on: 2006 November 13, 02:39:39
I directed a Sim to fix dinner, and every time he gets the food out it disappears after he shuts the door. Then he will try again (without being directed again) and the same thing happens. No custom foods, not a custom fridge, the only custom meshed objects on the lot are some windows. The Sim's only been in the house for two Sim days (in fact it's a brand new hood).

I get this error when it actually happens

Code:
Error: Reference to tree tree parameter when no parameter exists.

I'm attaching some logs too. I also got an XLS file generated if anyone wants to see that. I don't know if that's anything important or not.

ETA: He can make a TV dinner just fine, but spaghetti is a no-go Tongue

Thanks in advance...

Jen the not terribly awesome
24  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: where has my flamingo wall light gone? on: 2006 September 14, 21:23:43
I guess they decided it belonged in wall lights instead of decorations because, well it is a light that goes on the wall Wink Makes sense either way to me actually *shrug*
25  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: where has my flamingo wall light gone? on: 2006 September 14, 21:09:52
This was done on purpose by Maxis...I think it's in one of the chat transcripts somewhere. It happened with NL, I think.
