Did you try to save Sims while they were eating on a downtown restaurant lots to see if it would happen in your game too?

that would be really useful if you could try this. Smiley

EDIT:  I think there is no error report because it is happening on community lot and it saving uncontrollable character files


You could have the same Prob at Residential Lots. I had it happen pre OFB . I canceled a Sim while eating to greet the Welcomewagon after greeting told him to eat and exited the lot and saved. After a while played the same lot the Sim was unable to clean his dish after that.

I have somtimes Dormies invisible. It looks to me the game could not see they are not in rest mode. Lights switch off if  invisibles are alone in a room like they are sleeping at this time.

I am not sure how true that is but it seems insane to increase specs for OBJECTS?! What the hell are they thinking?
Maybe they went overboard with the vertex/polycount... who knows? Tongue Or it's just a big, fat conspiracy to upgrade computers.

I think not Polys are to high but it looks they have tweaket how the Grafics work its  more shiny and runs better and faster on my comp now. But the same tweaking could possibly ruin other Games as describet in BBS with incompatle Drivers or something.

I got errors with Employees multiple paid on two different Lots with different Owners  logs attached. Please help i dont know what causes this. Have the new  "Business Runs You"  on the Lots. All relatet hacks updatet also.
This problem is not related to Business Runs You. Your problem is caused by by something which appears to be non-awesome. Employees cannot be employees on multiple lots with different owners, so whatever you're doing is clearly not-awesome.

My employees are not on more then one  lot employees.

Where is the Be Restocker option?  And how does this affect employee breaks?  Do business owners still have to tell employees to take a break and they're just coming back quickly or the employees take the break when they need it automatically?

Restocker option is in "business" menue on the sim, and you have to send your employee to pause he get back to work after he got green moods

being terribly behind the times I'm just now getting around to trying the Bathroom Uses You hack out. If perhaps someone could be so kind as to re-upload/re-post the tp recolors that used to be found here, that would be swell.

There is a simple Way to make custom objects sit on displays. Original Numenor :
Maxis started to use a previously unused data field in the Object Data:the data field 0x004F -  [Unused - Shadow Brightness (Sims1). I've noticed that almost all the existing objects, before OFB, had this field set to zero or 0x96; while in OFB the objects have a value of 0x2 (small objects), 0x1 (medium objects) and 0x00 (large objects)..... Alter this to the described numbers and your custom objects will sit on displays und get restocked without probs. Have done it and it works.

Hmm many Hacks no Probs with be cashier in my Game. My Cashier has only a bronce Badge but highest Level of Logik. She need some Time to start ring up the Customers  but it works.

Its caused from a "atracted to (insert Name)" Memory. Tey gossip and voila all sims have now the same memory its a bad programming from Maxis. Only one Sim can make a whole Neighbourhood swooning over another Sim. They must not met him. Its only a Memory shared.

Yes! THAT'S what I want. And if the 'new lots' that are coming in OFB work the same in the general hood as they do in the Business district then it will be fine--but then that leaves me thinking: if everything works the same in the hood as in the saellite areas--why obther with the satellite Maxis? The only answer I can come up with is: the satellite areas most likely add SOMETHING. But what then?

ALl in all: I just don't like the idea of constant additional satellite areas. Period. One or two ok, maore than that bad.


In the new area are some preplayed sims on lots so you can still learn what you can make with your Addon. There is one Big Boss whith many Shops, one Family ready to make a Toyshop and so one. You can find things out with your own sims or stay lazy and get the premade neighbourhood.

I have made some recolors a long time ago for Bathroomusesyou  to match maxis cheap and expensive Plumpings. Only Holder colored and paper white. Hope you can use it.

For Cloning use simpes sim surgery there is a export sim function it works fine the exportet sim looks like the original without personallity. Load the CAS after that and recreate her. I have Clones of all my favorite Sims in in my Saved Sims .

Maybe delete her with move obejects on.  Exit/save the Lot and reload would work. It has worket by a Sim not able to clean his dishes after eating. I moved him to a new House tree times nothing had worked, delete him was my last try to solve his problem and it worked fine no problems since he could clean his dishes as before.

I have the same Shadowprob in my game but not with every object i place in my sims Inventory. My error Log displays this errors for my Objects.

It is a verry long List if i move a complete Household. In my Game Beds could no longer placed against Walls same for Dressers, Bookcases, Rewardobjects and other Stuff. Today i have moved one Family to another lot und have seen from the same Chair 2 pieces have lost the shadows and 5 others plus the Diningtable not. It looks to me not every object placed in Inventorys looses the Shadows. And for Objects we cant get in the Inventorys the Jukebox is not placeable in it as well.

I hate the gossip insteed of eating had more then once visitors of my family wet there Pants while missing the toilet by excessive chatting. And my Sims kick the Townys and my other Sims always when i visit the Downtown. I have a Female Sim seen lurk on another Sim with the hearts over the had at one moment the next i have seen her fight him.

The Bathroom uses you has a fixed Direction like a Floortile it is only placeable on Walls they face the Streetside/Mailbox of your Lot. It seems Nightlive has altered many Object BHAV Functions in our Game. I had the same with other custom Objects it looks the game cold not work with some BHAV modifications.

The diploma thing isn't such a big deal. If you get TwoJeff's buyable aspiration rewards collection from VS or MTS2 you can get them back quite easily and for free.

You are right but this diplomas are only cheap unwantet Pictures for your sims not the diplomas they got before. Test it with real
 Diplomas they got  and test it with buyable ones. And see there different Reactions.

Before NL, lots with missing terrain paints wouldn't package or load at all, the game would crash. I have NL and was installing lots with all custom content removed (I wasn't really paying attention to what the CC was, I just wanted clean lots) and those with missing terrain paints would load like any other lot. However, the areas that were supposed to have the missing terrain paint would flash blue. There was no way to cover the blue with another terrain paint, it would only paint below the blue and not on top. I didn't see a place to include anything other than a dxdiag log on the submission form and I don't know if this pic is helpful in any way, but this is what a lot looks like with missing paint.


I had this happen in Uni often you could not paint over it but you can erase it like all Terainpaintings.

Has anyone mentioned the missing shadows issue in your sims inventory what makes Beds and other Objects with Wallshadows unplaceable and looks odd with chairs and tables.

This Objects from my Sim Invetory are all Shadowless now it makes no sense to use the Inventory to move a Sim to onother Lot. Some Objects are only placeable whit move objects on cheat now.

OH, MY, GOD!!!! is that why i can't place my bed and dresser anymore againt the wall? i've moved my sims and placed their furniture in the inventory, now i cant put the bed or the dresser against the wall, unless i have moveobjects turned on!!!


I think that only happens with inventoried beds, but I haven't the slightest idea why.



No it happens to all Objects but it annoys me most with Rewardobjects while i cant buy a new one.
