51  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Testers wanted: Load package in sim surgery. on: 2007 March 28, 21:16:08
I want to defuglify some of the Riverblossom Hills townies.  How do I use this tool w/ the Pets version of SimPE?  Riverblossom Hills doesn't show up as a neighborhood.
52  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bathroom envy on: 2007 March 08, 19:14:27
Thought bubbles have been broken (in my opinion) since Nightlife.  Pleasure and Grilled Cheese sims are stuck w/ Family thought bubbles like adopting babies and getting married.

I didn't know you could turn them off.
53  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Sims can't primp on: 2007 March 06, 10:32:57
My sims have lost the ability to primp.  I thought I saw someone else mention it on this board, maybe in one of the Seasons threads.  I have all (patched) EPs and no stuff packs.

I don't think a hack is causing it.  I removed my entire download folder.

Huh   Anybody else having this problem?
54  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Pet relationship weirdness (feature?) on: 2006 December 23, 20:26:22
When a Sim sells a pet to another Sim, the Sim selling the pet and all other family members take a HUGE relationship hit w/ the pet being sold.  The pet immediately dislikes his former master and everyone else in the household.

Bug?  Feature?
55  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seeking elder hair mod on: 2006 December 10, 18:43:40
Nobody knows?  Is it impossible, or so easy to find that I shouldn't be asking?

I just don't like downloading a billion custom, unbinned hairs so my elders don't have to be gray the rest of their lives.

Thanks to anyone who can help...
56  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Seeking elder hair mod on: 2006 December 09, 01:34:48
I'm looking for a mod that will allow elders to choose *any* hair color from the Maxis and/or custom bins, just like adults can.

Thank you!
57  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / TS1 - 'cause I can't be the *only* one... on: 2006 August 16, 20:32:40
Nobody beats MATY for the bestest TS2 info and mods.

Wouldn't it be swell to have a TS1 corner of the site for those of us who still play the original?

Heck, it would even be awesome to have a TS1 FAQ for content and mods.
58  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sims 1 Mods? Are they still around? on: 2006 August 10, 22:25:44
You are AWESOME, ElfPuddle  Grin  The Arch. Supplies site has beautiful objects, many of which are based on Persimmon Grove stuff.

I just reinstalled Sims 1, and am having a lot of fun with it  Smiley

**EDIT**  Wow, I'm a dummy.  I thought Persimmon Grove downloads were off-line, but I was looking at the OLD Mac page  Roll Eyes

Persimmon Grove is still alive at www.persimmongrove.org
59  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sims 1 Mods? Are they still around? on: 2006 August 09, 02:07:54
I just checked Persimmon Grove, and it looks like all downloads are gone  Sad

Maybe another site is hosting?  Even though Persimmon Grove doesn't make new content, it would be a shame for all that beautiful work to disappear.
60  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Neighborhood History on: 2006 May 03, 22:56:30
So, Elvie, you're keeping the storyline of Verona close to their play?
 Grin
Call me an English-teacher-freak (I know I am), but it really annoys me that Veronaville is based on Shakespeare's plays but Maxis didn't bother to proofread...How are Benedict and Beatrice supposed to fall in love and end their "play" happily if they're siblings? etc. I'm all set to change everyone's names so I can arrange things properly..maybe B&B will be my Sebastian and Viola (then I'll need a Duke Orsino, a Lady Olivia, Sir Toby Belch, and more) Ooh, I'm suddenly inspired!
 Grin

Yes.  Beatrice and Benedick as brother and sister is totally disgusting.
61  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Neighborhood History on: 2006 May 03, 18:44:03

I can't believe your Bianca married Oberon! Whatever happened to Titania then?

Bianca was the VERY FIRST sim I played and she died of hunger on like, the first day. I learned the painful way that the hunger bar in Sims2 moves down faster than the one in Sims1 did. I resurrected her after I got university and she and Kent Capp now have three children: Chimera, Corinth, and Camden (I really like alliterative names). Her LTW was the easy-to-manage golden anniversary one so she's happy.

Bianca was the very first Sim I ever played, too!  Grin  I thought something terrible would happen if I didn't get her married right away like she wanted, so I had her fall in love with the first guy who walked past her house.  I had no clue she already had a crush on Kent, but he's kind of fugly.  Anyway, she married a townie.  Can't remember his name... brown hair, brown eyes, medium skintone, Business career, added around 19K.

As for Oberon and Titania, they were never even married, and they don't mind sleeping around  Tongue
62  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Neighborhood History on: 2006 May 03, 04:35:02
I gave Miranda a modest facelift - softened her jawline and made her lips a little less... whatever they were before  Cool

Now, she still looks "unique", but not as likely to give birth to circus freak babies.

And while I was at it, I gave Romeo a much-needed nosejob.
63  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Neighborhood History on: 2006 May 02, 21:52:25
I just sent Romeo, Juliet, and Miranda Capp (I think she's an interesting looking Sim) to college.  They're roomates.

My Romeo and Juliet have negative chemistry (as expected), but they're in love anyway.  I made Juliet check Romeo out while they were still just best friends, and she gagged.  Not 30 seconds later, she gave him a kiss, and they fell in love  Roll Eyes
64  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Neighborhood History on: 2006 May 01, 20:30:31
Question for anyone who plays Veronaville:

What's supposed to be the punchline of Antonio Monty's family story?  His bio talks about the mysterious, possibly Capp-induced death of his wife Hero.  Benedick's bio mentions something about him being important to solving the question of his mother's death.

Well, Hero doesn't have a tombstone, so her ghost isn't talking, and she has no character data, according to SimPE.

I'd like to see the "give gift" social interaction return.  Remember from Hot Date, you could give homemade jam and diamond rings to people and get a relationship boost?  Wouldn't it be neat if you had, say, a pool table in your inventory and were able to give it as a gift while still on a date?
66  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seeking accessory hack on: 2006 April 24, 02:20:36
Horray!  SimPE to the rescue.  Thanks for the info  Smiley
67  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Seeking accessory hack on: 2006 April 22, 23:27:04
I'm looking for a hack that allows accessories like glasses, rings, earrings, necklaces, piercings, and nails to stay on ALL the time.  In the shower, in the pool, and in bed - always on.

I already looked at InSim and MTS2.  Squinge has mods to remove accessories before eating certain foods (?) so I can assume a hack like what I'm after is possible.

Does the hack I want already exist, or should I make a request?
68  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Making a default skintone replacement with SimPE on: 2006 April 20, 23:09:07
Don't feel bad!  You've been very helpful  Cheesy

Anyway, I read the threads you suggested.  The one re: SimPE locking up might be related to my problem.  I play TS2 on a Dell laptop with an unsupported integrated video card.  I know, totally retardo  Roll Eyes

So, I'll try wiping the registry and reinstalling, but if that doesn't work, I'll just have to deal with the consequences of my non-Awesome system  Undecided

Thanks again for your help and advice!
69  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Making a default skintone replacement with SimPE on: 2006 April 20, 19:39:58
I'm using the newest version of SimPE, Modern style, on Windows XP.  I can't imagine that it would matter, but I'm also still using Service Pack 1.  I have Uni, NL, and OFB.  I do not have the Holiday Pack or Family Fun Stuff.

I was getting some wierdness with SimPE earlier.  I wasn't able to access certain townies' Uni and Nightlife tabs where you edit time remaining in the semester, turn-ons, traits, etc.  Also, I never got the black "please wait" box when trying to make the default skins.

I uninstalled SimPE last night and downloaded the Light version.  I now get the black "please wait" box, and it goes away after about a minute, but SimPE keeps running, and eventually I get the "program not responding" message if I try to click anywhere on the screen.

So, I did make progress after reinstalling SimPE, but it's still not working.  I have uninstalled SimPE again.  Is there a registry file I should delete?  I want a CLEAN installation.
70  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Making a default skintone replacement with SimPE on: 2006 April 19, 19:56:01
I couldn't get this to work  Cry

Your instructions were crystal-clear, and I followed them verbatim.  Everything went along great till the final step.

I named the file and saved, and SimPE seemed to get stuck on this.  It wasn't completely locked up, but the program just kept runnning and running.  I let it go for 10-15 minutes, then tried to minimize SimPE.  I finally got the "program not responding" message from Windows.  I tried many times, with many different skintones.

What's supposed to happen after naming the file and saving?  I didn't get any error messages - SimPE just acted like it was caught in a loop and wouldn't stop running.
71  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Making a default skintone replacement with SimPE on: 2006 April 19, 02:18:55
Thanks!  I'll try this tonight and let you know how well it works  Cheesy

72  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Making a default skintone replacement with SimPE on: 2006 April 19, 01:40:20
That's the same tutorial I saw at MTS2, also by Angelyne.  But not the instructions I'm looking for.

I'm looking for the quickie, possibly flaky SimPE method Angelyne mentions here:  http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=129993

She says:

"You can also create default skins at the push of a button with the new version of SimPE, but it doesn't produce a stand-alone file that you can share or distribute. Both the skin and the replacement skin need to be present in the download folder. Also the results were flaky for me. So I prefer this tried and true method."

Thank you anyway, BlueSoup.  Are you familiar with the speedier, less reliable SimPE method?
73  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Making a default skintone replacement with SimPE on: 2006 April 19, 00:41:59
I saw a MTS2 tutorial for making default skintone replacements that mentions a "click of a button" SimPE alternative.  This tutorial also said the SimPE way is flaky, but I want to try it anyway.

I can't find instructions on how to do it, though.  Can anybody help me?

74  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Domo Arrigato, NPC Roboto on: 2006 March 24, 16:23:31
I had no intention of summoning it.  Cool

I don't think the NPC Robot has anything to do with Servo - I think it's the "lesser" robots like SentryBot and CleanBot.

I wonder if having these bots on your lot might cause mayhem like the remote controlled car does...

I don't have piano problems anymore, either, and I haven't used pianofix in ages.
