TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Taxi Speed

If a taxi travels slower than a bike, the driver must be trying to rack up meter charges This makes NO sense if Sims don't pay for cab rides. I like the idea of Sims biking around town, but why doesn't this build body skill?

My roofs have been @Toaded I can't see the roofs on houses I'm either playing or building. I can see the NEIGHBORS' roofs, though, both in live mode and build mode. After I play or enter a house to build, the roof "disappears" forever. I took a house from the lot bin and placed it on an empty lot. I never entered the house, but the thumbnail in the lot description is missing a roof Before I placed the house, it definitely had a roof. A few people have posted about this on the BBS, but not many. Has anyone else here seen this?

Click the little flag-like symbol found in "Simology." This will tell you how many hobby enthusiasm points your Sim has in any given area. If you have your Sim work out for a while, it shouldn't take long to gain enough points to be able to to jogging. You'll also want to make sure "nohobbyspam" is in your download folder.

Here's a question, though: Because M&G stuff is technically a mini-expansion, wouldn't houses built with M&G become unusable for those who don't have the M&G stuff pack? As I read it, M&G is considered a mini-expansion because of the new building cheat. I hope they're compatible.
I just tried installing Emma's house, which uses M&G. I don't have M&G. I got a message saying something like, "GTFO, luzer, u need stuffpack" (not those words exactly, but the meaning was clear.)

Yep, my playable streaker wandered outdoors in a snowstorm in her birthday suit and after she became a frozen block a satellite fell on her. Imagine that!
Really? I thought satellites only fell on cloud/stargazing sims. How can a sim stare at the sky while frozen? Pretty cool, though, if it really happened that way.

We could all use more RAMs! Seriously, though, any object bigger than 1 megabyte better be something truly spectacular. Has anyone used the produce stand made by Katy at (closed) Sims Mod Board? All due respect to the Fruitbowl, but it would be perfect if it charged more (a LOT more) for the veggies. No cashier or inventory required!

The sims wardrobe has a hack that allows you to pack fish in crates, like with the fruit bowl of awesomeness. I haven't tested it yet, but it should be there, presuming FT didn't break it. Still works, as does the produce version. Both are fantastic, and my farm lot couldn't survive without them. Sure, they work, but the file sizes are HUGE. I'm betting an Awesome version of the fish crates could be a lot smaller.

In my perverted neck of the woods such a device is known, more than somewhat misleadingly, as a bum-bag.
Fanny-pack here. Otherwise known as a big neon sign saying "I'm a dork and live in my mother's basement. I touched a boobie once." ========================================================================== Hmm. Why isn't it okay for a man to wear a fanny pack? They're very practical, especially for travelling. I'm not male, nor do I own a fanny pack, but I wouldn't scream "DORK!" at a man wearing one. They're not haute couture, but if men aren't allowed to carry a purse, they have to make do sometimes. I wonder what Stacy and Clinton from "What Not To Wear" would have to say about this...

I've seen this before, and figured one of my default faces was to blame. I never thought to play with the graphics settings. In my game, it doesn't appear on ALL female sims, just 1 or 2 at a time, and very randomly. Very mysterious...

Sims can't blog or browse the web at the Film/Literature secret lot. (Haven't tried this yet at other community lots) If this is a "feature" it sucks. What other purpose would the computers serve there? It's not a gaming lot

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Tai-chi weirdness

My Sim maxed the body skill via tai-chi. The memory icon shows a yellow box with a red arrow that looks like Pescado's magic wand.
Is this normal, or bad?

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Kitty Condo
|

Cats are supposed to be able to sleep in/on the Kitty Condo object that doubles as a scratching post, right? I've never seen a cat sleep in one of these on its own. They'll scratch/survey/rest on it all day, but they refuse to sleep. I don't think it's a placement issue, because when I use the controlpets cheat I can make them sleep in it. Sometimes they'll climb up to the top to sleep, and sometimes they'll go inside. I haven't gotten around to installing the 2nd Pets patch. The Kitty Condo was never listed as an issue. The only non-Awesome hacks I have are a sellable juice tray hack from MTS2 and Squinge's communal shower upgrade.
