No, you can't end the date, very annoying. You can end the group, but only after the outing.

IIRC, just select "Leave Group" and it will end.  You can also "End Date" at any time, for any reason.

I used this tutorial to get rid of them after reading that it was ok. Deleting is goooood.

I need pictures the first time I do ANYTHING in SimPe.  Grin

Motoki is special.  MATY is a great board and Motoki is one of the reasons.  He's funny, and kind and helpful and charming.  He's one of five or so regular members here who stand out like a gem.   Yeah, he's a modder too, but it's not his mods that make him precious, it's his personality that comes through in all of his posts.

Hear hear!  Come back soon, Motoki! Cry

I had one lot where the poor guy came home from work and the school bus was stuck in front of his driveway, and the game just hung at that point where the buy/build mode is disabled, and there wasn't a thing I could do.

You should still be able to get into debug and reset the bus.  It's happened to me several times when the car and the bus come at the same time.

I loved Unleashed for the spiral stairs and the other build stuff.  I DESPISED the pests--I mean pets. Wink  My sims never owned them after the first day of playing. They drove me crazy.  I've never understood why in every single topic about what one would like in an EP, that's all anyone really seems to want.  Lips sealed

there were some important changes regarding the Quiet Pregnancy mod,

Wait, do I need to update that one? I've been successfully using it for months and months, and have had no trouble that I can tell.

Do these ones REALLY change the comfort and energy levels or do they just change the description? The only ones I've ever seen with higher levels just change the description. I remember a thread where Pescado told someone that their change doesn't work and yet people were still thanking them saying their sims got more energy.  Roll Eyes Placebo effect I guess.

Well, I've never actually timed it.  Shocked I just took it for granted.  It SEEMS to work, though that could definitely be all in my head.

Hey, Mokey, did you know we all got banned?

At SF?  I did notice that, but it seems to be fixed now. The whole situation was the strangest thing ever.  Angry  Thank God I know better than to click email linkage...

Oh, hacked ones, that explains it. Are there any like that for sims 2?

I use these that override the defaults and give more comfort/energy to the cheapest frames. It's all I use for kids, 'cause they are banned from double beds in my game.  Cheesy

And as far as risky woohoo goes, the inTeenimator has it built in (unless you add the flavor pack that removes it).

58  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What are your PC specs? on: 2005 December 03, 21:37:54
I've an Alienware as well.  It's 2 1/2 years old now, and upgraded almost everything since we bought it. Roll Eyes

3.0Ghz proc
2 GB Corsair XMS
nVidia GeForce Ultra 6800 256MB
Audigy 2 (bleh, next thing to go)
XP Home, SP2
500w power supply
Sony DVDRW, Plextor CDRW

I run Sims2 with maximum specs, including smooth edges all the way up.  The only time I lag is on large community lots at night, and when I first load a lot I have to pan completely around the house before it runs normally.
59  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: No Unlinkage On Urnstone Delete on: 2005 November 30, 22:45:05
Oh Awesome One...
Tonight I had a sim (un)tragically lose his first wife. The tombstone was on the lot, and his girlfriend was present; they have 100/100 relationship, but the option to "propose..engagement" was not there. He had her move in and I deleted first-wife's tombstone 'cause that used to help.  Still no propose. Cycled through the new shiny debugger options, resetting everything in sight--and out of it--to see if anything had an effect.  Finally quit the game, pulled the nounlinkage hack out, deleted the tombstone, and the propose option was back.  Quit, put hack back in, reloaded--propose missing again. So, I've removed this for the time being so I can get the idiots married.

I've got all your updated hacks, excepting the bathroom one, the auth pers, and the encouragebleh thing. Most of Jeff's and Inge's, some of Crammy's. Game is patched with all EPs.

Is this a bug or user-error?

My dad was always a computer nerd.  I inherited a Commodore64 when I was...12? Loved that thing.  I can remember my dad buying a Tandy one day and saying "It's got 8MB of RAM.  You'll NEVER need more than that!"  Cheesy Uh huh..I still have that old Tandy upstairs in my closet though.

Oooh.  Ultima.  I had forgotten about that game.

Ultima.  Don't even get me started! It was fabulous.  I started playing it when Ultima 6 came out and was a faithful fan until UO was about 4 years old and it was nothing like it should have been.  The NPC's had schedules! If you stood in the shops you could watch them.  The bakers made bread! The tailors made cloth!  Everything was interactive.  *sigh*  Origin was eaten by the beast that is EA shortly before or after UO came into being.

If you are interested, a fan-created remake of Ultima 5 using the Dungeon Siege engine is set to come out by Christmas. http://www.u5lazarus.com/
61  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: This was so annoying on: 2005 November 29, 13:09:05
I've occasionally had that happen, especially on long driveways.  If you enter debug mode (boolprop testingcheatsenabled true) and zoom into the car, you can "force error" on the sim, select "reset", and the sim will pop out of the car and things shouldl go back to normal.
62  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: My video's glitching out... help! on: 2005 November 28, 17:22:22
My computer wasn't overheating either--I use Motherboard Monitor and it's been running about 36-45 degrees.  I was having major problems last week with my (less than a year old 6800 Ultra) giving me what I (un)affectionately term "frizzles" and eventually pretty flashing color blocks.  After much screaming and cussing and airing out the case, we discovered that the connector for its dedicated fan had been disconnected.  After reconnecting it, haven't seen a frizzle in 4 days now.

These are my frizzles.  Is this something like you are seeing?

P00jkins makes good careers.  All of hers are functional, complete, and do not overwrite any Maxis ones.

I use a Hacker career (from TS1), Nurse, PokerPro, X-Treme (TS1), Vampiric, and the all-important "Workaholic".  I love adore the workaholic for both spouses of romance sims (they are gone 14-20 hours of the day) and for $100k wanters. Smiley

You said your settings were changed; did you check to make sure that the "Catalogs display custom content" is selected as well as enabling them?

Assuming you have XP, I think this is the correct link: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_61.77.html.  Lemme know if that driver works for you; I'd like a second opinion before I advise people to roll back.  Grin

I think that problem was fixed with Nightlife. I always thought I'd seen bump maps, until I actually saw them in game after installing Nightlife  Cheesy. But, in return, I lost object specularity (upon installation, with the same graphics card as before).

Have you tried the 6.1.7.7 driver?
I swore by the 77.77 until I rolled back to this one..thanks to my husband and his fascination with W.O.W.  Roll Eyes

I've had no trouble with applying or playing, with patch, and I use a looong list of hacks-- I typed it out in the phone hack thread.  Seriously, I've not had any real issues (except the squiggle lines, fixed with a reinstall and "read only" status applied to my object packages) with the Sims2 since it came out.  Smiley

Jumping back to the catagorizing hairs to go into the right color bins; shouldn't you (theoretically) be able to make a sim, age back to toddler and get the same hairstyle through to elder? I tried this with b52b9d28-7b62-4f41-bd88-fb382721db82 as family and with
00000002-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 as hairtone, and get different style with different ages.  Two of them are the same style (not the one I picked), but the rest aren't. How badly have I screwed this up?

That's the way I do it because that's the way I was shown how.  I think someone earlier in the thread said that each hair has to have a unique family number to maintain the same style through the age groups.  I'm not about to mess with it now, especially since my hairs have all been done already with the same family number.  It doesn't really bother me as much as having 237162398302372 pages of custom hair to scroll through.  Wink
71  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Any Decent Custom Hair? on: 2005 November 14, 13:57:37
It works the same as checking on an object.  You have to open the mesh, not a texture.  I think it's the first option--Geometric Data Container, then click on the line in the righthand box, and the poly/vertex count shows up beneath.  If it's really big, it might take a bit.  Tongue

Did any of you found a way to delete Veronaville without messing up the 2 other pre-made Maxis hoods? Should I simply go and play with all the family in Strangetown and Pleasantview and then only delete Veronaville.  Any other in here experience the same problem then me which is blank wants when you enter with Pleasantview or Strangetown family and you delete Veronaville before even starting to play with the 2 other hood

I've always deleted Strangetown and Veronaville and never had any weirdness.  More lately, I've deleted them all and have only one custom neighborhood in my game.  The only time I've seen blank wants or "regressing" sims--sims losing want slots--is when I've tried to place a family into a pre-Uni house.  Since I discovered that, I've made it a point to enter any home I've downloaded or the Maxis homes after a fresh install, drop a bush on the ground, and save the lot before I try placing a family.  Haven't seen another blank want slot yet.

Nope.  As a matter of fact, I did a fresh install a week or so ago after we kind of came to the conclusion that my game was irrevocably bugged--see the "squiggle lines" thread--so s'not that. I think Kendall was just having a hot flash.  Or something.  Lips sealed
