76  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Exchange a new hood with an old one on: 2007 February 07, 08:27:49
I think you should be able to do it.
Go to your NEW hood and put all the empty, unplayed house into the lot bin.
Go to SimPE and perform terrain surgery so the OLD hood has the NEW terrain.
Go back to OLD hood, place houses and move sims in.
As long as the sims never leave the sim bin, as opposed to the lot bin which they should NEVER be in, it should be fine, but wil take a bit of work.
If you have lots in your old hood you may want to delete them before the terrain surgery.

Perhaps we are talking about the same person after all. There is another milder offender somewhere between the current reign of crap and the previous spammers. I thought you meant her.

Oh, I know the one you mean. They post in black text, right?
Yes, that's the one.

Polonius, I think I know who you are referring to but there's a self-righteous bitch with a few issues who bugs me more.

Do you have a bed hack? I had an embarassing incident with smarterbeds and my first vamp not long ago.

You're not alone Marhis, I have heard of this before. It was a mac user (are you?) but I don't know how they resolved it.

The funny thing about people who say the could care less is that they are being unintentionally accurate. If they really didn't care, they wouldn't talk about it.

*claps and cheers NVA for her rant*
I liked the PMBD one too. (still reeling slightly hence the post on the wrong site).
I also like Witch's sig, although I would add it's not that big a deal, OF nothing!!!
I tend to be better at numbers, but I love reading, lots of 18th and 19th century literature as well as sci-fi so I tend to be quite formal when writing. I try not to go overboard, but it really bugs me when people think it doesn't matter. If you want people to understand you, it does matter. If you're not prepared to make the effort, don't bloody type.

I don't live in US so no EA focus groups for me.
84  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Dr. Death and the recalcitrant cow plant on: 2007 January 29, 07:00:47
I've left unmilked cowplants sitting around for ages. It just sat around with a full udder and didn't complain. At least if you have an unfenced plant you will only kill one unsuspecting visitor if you forget to lock the gate.

Edit: bah I can't spell

I only have up to NL and it does that in my game.
I just had a thought after I typed that. I don't create a lot of 'hoods but with a sparkly new install, I deleted the default hoods unplayed so that may have something to do with my first hood being N001.

The Site That Must Not Be Named

I've been around longer than my post count suggests but having seen quite a bit of what can happen when the unwary post I stuck to lurking. My time as a pirate has made me less timid (ARRR!) and there have been a couple of train wrecks (far beyond mere derailment) over there which I gave up on.
Back to the weather...

I should be used to it by now, but I got really confused when I ctlr-tabbed over to this page titled "Gender-reversed Pleasantview" to find the weather in Australia being discussed. I usually only get that when my mother calls me.
BTW it's hot (mid 30s) in Melbourne this week. (She called yesterday.)
89  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Why do so many people's male sims look like women? on: 2006 November 17, 11:54:38
Girls yes. Specifically the 12 and under who have never ovulated.

This may be the wrong place to ask, but it takes a bit of courage to ask anything here. So, from the depths of un-awesomeness:
Is it possible to take an existing custom uni and use it with a different base 'hood? I am quite happy for it to be unpopulated, but would like to be able to avoid setting it all up again. OR, would it be easier to just put it all back together as the faster, less likely to go disastrously wrong and set fire to the neighbour's cat option?
