Pescado, are you actually interested in finding a dedicated NL tester? Do you want to know about issues?
You responded quickly to my post here but when I thought I would follow that up with another problem, I found that my previous report on firemod is still the last post in that thread.
Take it out and ignore it or post another error log?

I'll try ACR3d. Maybe I'm lucky and have a special type of borkeness in my game, TJ didn't think he could help me out.
53  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Application quits with NL director's cut installed on: 2007 May 15, 06:51:26
@Quinctia: are you using ACR3d? I found 3c to have too many problems so I use 3a (I think). Do you find they reset when they try to sleep after auto-woohoo?

I remember having problems with romancemod too but when I put an old version in it seemed fine. Unfortunately I moved all my DLs to check the new woohooltw and dramafix so everything is now dated Sunday. Roll Eyes If I dig out my external HD I can have a look at the dates later.

I got my 1.20 GB folder down to 644 MB. On the downside, my game takes a little longer to load. It used to load in 3 minutes, now it's just under 5. I'm not sure if game performance is any better, but I think I noticed lots loading a little faster, too.
Have you deleted your cache? It has been noticed that it can lengthen load time unless this is done.

New versions caused no crashing in brief session.
56  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Application quits with NL director's cut installed on: 2007 May 13, 10:01:54
I have only Uni and NL. I have had to remove 4 or 5 DC hacks which caused various crashes.
dramafix and woohooltwfix being the worst for me with instant crash to desktop. I had a list for a while of other hacks which caused problems with specific actions but seem to have deleted it.
I am quite happy to help out with NL issues.
57  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Life Stories Neighborhoods, Safe to use in TS2? on: 2007 May 11, 06:00:34
There's a tutorial in the War Room on how to do neighbourhood terrain surgery using SimPE.
Thanks Kyna. I did a search for terrain surgery and got zero results which puzzled me as I have done it several times using that tutorial.
58  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Life Stories Neighborhoods, Safe to use in TS2? on: 2007 May 10, 11:59:19
If you've got SimPE, why not just use terrain surgery?

If you're looking for REALLY small, I just found this. Unfortunately it's a frame site so I can't link to the actual download.

ETA
Just realised how stupid that was. Download here.

There is actually a good terrain at The Shit Repository. It's TSR Island by Steve. It's small, flat and treeless. Makes a perfect Uni.
61  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Deleting neigbourhood trees with SimPE? on: 2007 May 05, 12:02:41
Dinkytink at MTS2  has a few very small terrains, completely flat, no camera mod required and NO TREES.

I have never had novel money added to a sims personal wealth.
63  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Testers Wanted - Realistic Sickness' on: 2007 April 13, 00:14:00
Maybe not so much skill points as personality. Neat, active, fit sims are more likely to recover quickly but I agree with the aspiration part. Depression makes illnesses linger, a positive outlook can do wonders.
I like the idea of this as I currently do nothing to avoid illness in my game. The only one that kills is pregnancy and that's really just starving because they're too stupid to eat when hungry. This should make the trash can more interesting. I like unplanned deaths as my sims have too many children.

Let you know about Nvidia then.
Was this directed at me?
I was only saying what some people think it is as there seems to be no consensus out there. I have an integrated chip, not even a card. The bits I did read had people trying various different nVidia drivers to no avail.
If it is a memory access issue, which makes sense, what can I possibly do to fix it?
I wonder of this is one of the wonderful Windoze security fixes. I used to have them off but now have them on notify and recently let a batch through.
65  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Seasons is crashing on: 2007 March 12, 18:02:57
I'm nowhere near Seasons running up to NL on my laptop which has recently decided to start throwing this exception at me when I try and save. It's a recent development. I also grabbed a copy of Life Stories from TPB which gives me the same exception code on loading so I haven't actually played it yet. I would love to know what's causing it. The guys running SETI@home seem to think it's related to having a screensaver and a lot of people playing various different games think it's nVidia related.
I tried a few things including taking out all CC (including my awesome hacks), deleting My Documents\Sims 2 folder, uninstalling and reinstalling the whole game, uninstalling lots of other stuff, cleaning up the registry, defragging both hard drives. I can play but can't save so it gets old pretty quickly and would love to find a solution.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

I have self-sufficient toddlers.

I use the Bottomless Bottle (sorry...forgot who made it).  It cleans up expired bottles that are left laying around and the toddler can use it at will.

I potty train them right off so they can potty as the desire hits,

I use the floor blanket mod so that they can put themselves to bed and get themselves up,

Then I set them up with skilling toys and they are completely self-sufficient until childhood.  It's a breeze!
Ingelogical has a bottomless bottle but I don't think it cleans up expired bottles.
I use pretty much the same set up with the addition of the baby controller set to ignore toddlers as it doesn't make use of the toddler blanket.

With WinRAR if the directory doensn't exist, just type the name in the path field and it will be created for you.
68  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: A Very Bad Thing with no BFBVFS on: 2007 February 25, 14:23:01
I don't know if this would help, but anyway: I play Sims on a Mac, and use SimPE on a PC, networked. If I open hoods directly (through the network sharing), all SDSC are Unknown. I have to work on a local copy on C:, to have the hood display properly in SimPE.
I've never had this problem before and just a couple of minutes before I had created a description, which I still have. I have done everything Sim-related on the same machine under the same login. Maybe SimPE just decided it was time.
69  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: A Very Bad Thing with no BFBVFS on: 2007 February 23, 12:05:13
Originally I opened SimPE to create a description for use in Sims2DB and closed it without making any changes. I re-opened to check a few details and discovered all the sims in that 'hood were unknown which they had not been a few minutes before.
70  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: A Very Bad Thing with no BFBVFS on: 2007 February 22, 12:58:49
I have the OFB version of SimPE (0.58 I think) and up to NL of the game so I shouldn't need to upgrade.
When I went into the game there were no sims in the hood, just lots of empty houses where there had been about 15 families plus a few in the simbin.
I have since done irreversible things to the hood, I am puzzled because I didn't alter or save anything in that session.
71  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / A Very Bad Thing with no BFBVFS on: 2007 February 22, 05:39:43
I opened SimPE, then my hood with the hood browser, selected all the sim descriptions, created a description, saved it, closed the 'hood, closed SimPE. After playing around with the database I reopened SimPE and every character was unknown. I tried again, same result. I opened the game and all my lots were unoccupied and simbin was empty.
I am more bewildered than distraught, they are only sims and the average lot playtime was no more than a couple of sim weeks and it's a non-Maxis premade hood but I have a question.
How did this happen?
72  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Fire Mod v2 on: 2007 February 13, 03:38:02
I had a problem with a sim. She was patting the illuminated reindeer which caught fire. I had to continually reset her, didn't want to delete. She caught fire and couldn't die. Firefighter also got stuck. I didn't try deleting him but he took a while to get to her. He chased her across a 5x6 lot performing the following sequence: put out fire, she starts to burn, jumps out of fire, repeat.
I refreshed her motives which helped the situation but I was trying to get her to die.
This was my first fire with v2 in.
Jaylene = my sim
Calvin = firefighter
I have up to NL

These pants belong in Veronaville. I see Paris from Zeffirelli's R&J.
75  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Neighborhood Folder/Number Problem on: 2007 February 11, 11:26:29
I use Ant Renamer. The "string replacement" function is the one you want, just make sure you rename the folder before starting. I have done this several times and not ever had any issues. I have never involved SimPE in the process and never needed to create a placeholder 'hood.
I know that others also use it to rename screenshots so they show up for the right lot but have not done this myself as I don't take enough pictures for this to be needed.
