You can use the launcher to install store content, yes. You don't need the launcher to load the game though.

Is there a fix for the quantum power pack? When I put the power suit on I got missing textures.

Go back a couple of more pages and you'll find it.

You could probably make a default replacement for the suit, without needing to change the script. Anything else requires scripting.

I understand.

Yeah, that stasis sickness moodlet is probably meant to be a balance thing, because it is always applied at the end of stasis, whether they are in a long or short time. It's not even random. It's the price you pay for instantly maxing all your motives. You could alter the buff in the ccmerged to make it neutral.

I see, I was suspecting that. It doesn't bother me enough to try and do something about it, it's a really small price to pay to max the motives whenever one wants indeed.

ETA: Does this mean we can change which CAS assets the game references when the moodlet is triggered via tuning or would one need to change script code?

Notouching is right. I came across the "visor" or glasses thingy when I was creating a sim in CAS. I wasn't in the mood to look for the other CAS pieces at the time but I'm certain they're there. Unfortunately once the suit is equipped changing appearance (mirror) and changing or planning outfit are all blocked. I don't think they really thought this through. Even if I were to save an edited version of the costume in CAS, who's to say it would work and even if it did I assume the chance of getting the outfit you want is completely random.

The object itself works fine. My problem was the now outdated ccmerge file I was using which prevented me to get the moodlets which caused the suit and its functions not to appear. When I first started testing it I completely overlooked the fact that the vanilla save had the correct moodlets but my regular one didn't.

@notouching: do you know what triggers the negative moodlet -15 they receive sometimes? I think it's called "stasis sickness" or osmething similar. At first I thought it was because I yanked the sims back out too quickly after sending them to the pod. Though I left one sim in there for the biggest part of the day and she still got the moodlet. I guess it's a small price to pay for a in-game cheat though. I'm just curious.

There's an updated ccmerged here: http://nonasims.wordpress.com/2012/05/17/dcbackup-ccmerged-package-and-your-premium-content-items/

This morning I had time to install the Quantum Power Pack, and and I was able to fix missing accessories to get rid of the white box, but I can't get the sim in the power suit without putting the whole package for the power suit in. I'm not sure what the problem is. I was chatting Inge about whether there is an NGMP type resource for CAS but we don't know of any.

Sweet! You're awesome. Usually I can mix my legit stuff (there are a few items I don't decrap) with my decrapped stuff without any problem. For some odd reason though the quantum pack won't work in my regular save and I don't get the moodlets. Everything works perfectly fine in my vanilla game though. I'll just make a package file and throw it in my mods folder then.
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 09.26.2013) on: 2013 October 27, 09:51:17
Not sure if this is within the scope of this project but the ITF preorder premium content (Quantum Power Chamber) from this post has missing textures and assets when run through decrap. Overall functionality seems to be intact.
The object itself will look fine. When putting on the powersuit, then the missing textures and assets will appear. I ran it though s3rc itself, used Delphy's multi installer and threw the package files inside a subfolder for testing. The powersuit then shows up properly

Well the powersuit doesn't work for me and I got a legit file, not arrr'd. I believe the quantum pack was mentioned in Crinrict's ITF bug thread so it's prolly borked without being decrapped.

Edit: I tried again with a vanilla game and it worked. How's one supposed to customize the suit though? You can't plan outfit nor change appearance when it's equipped.
Update: Well I uninstalled the pack and then reinstalled it but suiting up still doesn't work so my guess is it's a ccmerge issue since it does work in the vanilla game.

So wait the cleaning chip isn't like having a neat sim so the bots can only clean if you manually tell them what to clean? That sucks I thought it would be click on the floor and have them clean the house. Undecided

You can click the bot and ask it to clean and I believe they'll clean everything that's dirty on the lot. They also clean stuff autonomously if you have free will on. I played with one with free will off and it didn't do anything until I direct it to. It would have been more convenient if I could simply click the floor and let it clean the house since I never have free will on when I'm playing big families.

Am I the only one having trouble moving around in OL? It's such a damn hassle, the jetpack, the hoverboard, taxi, hover train etc. I figured that since the sims are able to wear a jetpack they'll be able to fly everywhere. That is not the case. I constantly have to switch between the jetpack and the hoverboard and if I'm not careful the sim chooses the public transportation which is a hoverboard/taxi/hovertrain nightmare.

I'm also disappointed that the cleaning chip you unlock for the bots doesn't give the bot the option to "clean house" like the neat trait does for regular sims. So I still have to queue up everything that needs to be done manually. #fail!  Angry

New set in the store, One With Nature. It's currently on sale for 975 simpoints.

I found a mediafire link for it. I believe it's untouched.

Saweeeeet! You work fast KT. Any chance you'll be doing the same for some of the counters and tables in the game?
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Showtime issues on: 2013 September 24, 00:31:57
Actually this problem has been addressed way back when Showtime just got released. So if you do a Google search I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find old threads about it and whatnot. There are also bug threads for each EP that gets released specifically dealing with bugs that get introduced by the EP. So SEARCH MOAR I guess.

The problem with the Retro Model T Dining chair is that the set that it came in needed a fix for the dresses. For some odd reason they fixed the dresses and borked the chair so to my knowledge those that have the set with the fixed dresses indeed need a fix for it. Since we arrr the crap out of the store you already made a fix that work with either of the sets which is why you don't experience this problem.

The surf it works, but I didn't see any shark, in my game is a seal or sea lion....

It is supposed to be a sea lion. The object doesn't have a shark.
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Piss and Moan about IP thread on: 2013 July 09, 20:20:25
I sometimes get a reset when the sims try to explore a cave, suddenly they're all standing on the shore of a nearby island, still in their scuba gear.

I've had two burglars in the middle of the ocean, no police. I think only the burglars have boats. One burglar stole a chest of drawers and took off in his speedboat in the middle of a storm. Gotta give him points for effort.

There's a glitch/feature that teleports your sim to land if the cave you explore doesn't have any tentacles in them when you choose the interaction. Just check whether there are tentacles coming out of the cave before exploring it. You can fix it by going into edit town and reset the lot by going into build/buy mode and move some stuff around. Or simply use a mod to reset the lot. I usually cba though so I simply move on to another diving spot which has an explorable cave. Usually the tentacles appear the next day either way.
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Deleting the buggers on: 2013 July 09, 20:11:31
It's probably not relevant but there are problems and glitches when the game decides to move families out of the world. Shimrod made a mod specifically to prevent this from happening since people were experiencing certain issues when SP randomly picked a family to discard from the 'hood. Just in case I would definitely use a mod to either delete the families or break all ties of the household in the world prior to deletion. It could be that AM or other mods do this automatically when you use them to delete sims.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Piss and Moan about IP thread on: 2013 July 02, 00:41:00
I'm finding IP to be virtually unplayable. Horrible lag (even in Buy/Build modes. FPS is stable, there just seems to be a delay between every click and action when I'm building) and I'm getting a constant barrage of unroutable sims in the new hood.

I've been watching several Let's Players on youtube lately and pretty much all of them experience some kind of lag in IP, some more than others. Basically the game pauses while the animations keep on going and then continues again, this happens every couple of simminutes. Even with LP'ers who normally have rather smooth game-play. I've also heard people complaining about Overwatch throwing up a significant amount of routing errors in IP and there only. According to others they experience this "lag" only in IP and in no other worlds. Seeing as how the routing works from several LP'ers I can say that I'm not surprised. IP seems as though it's more of a routing nightmare than Bridgeport.

My pet register isn't decrapped. Will your fix affect it's functionality in my game?
21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2013 June 21, 20:16:06
What would happen if I were to upload a lot to the exchange with decrapped store items?

The person would have to decrap the lot for the items to appear in their game if I remember correctly. Whether they have the original items, arred versions of the items or none of the items at all. They would simply get replaced with base-game objects.
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Problem with a recent sims3pack on: 2013 June 06, 14:41:52
From what I hear it's best to decrap worlds yourself since a lot of people seem to have problems with pre-decrapped versions. I just see it as something less to worry about during troubleshooting.
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Problem with a recent sims3pack on: 2013 June 03, 14:26:39
Make sure your decrapping tools are up to date. Also, make sure you get an untouched sim3pack file and decrap it yourself. Use the one linked from TG's site don't use the one posted by "Thehacker". The file has already been decrappified.

I have the updated files for the fixes...Has anyone else noticed that playing the violin does not create the enjoying music moodlet?

I also noticed that the skill bar for violin only appears if you either cancel the action or gain a level. 'points it out' It's probably just me though. Delphy says I have no conflicts...

I too am experiencing this problem. Does the notouching violin fix actually fix these issues? From what I understood all we need are the KT fixes and notouching's baby dragon egg fix. We can disregard every other fix she posted in this thread, correct? All the Dragon Valley and venue stuff work fine for me, btw. I placed the lot without any problems and all the objects showed up as they should. The grill works, the violin and archery objects have their accessories, the dragon eggs are hatching just fine (although I do have an extra egg in buy mode) and I'm getting all the moodlets and benefits from the dragons as I'm supposed to.

It's only the skill bar of the violin is wonky and I don't get the right moodlet for it for some odd reason. On another random note, I have no idea how to get rid of the dragons. If I wasn't such an "F" I would have just experimented with letting them starve to death. You can't sell them nor put them on the floor on a community lot. And to think that I was worried some random sim would steal my winged friend, turns out I can't get rid of them.  Undecided

ETA: disregard the moodlet thing. I obviously can't read.

The link to the venue in this post leads to an untouched version of the venue. I extracted the .sims3pack no problem and the packages open just fine with s3pe.
