126  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Creating Puppies and Kittens for Adoption on: 2007 March 03, 13:32:42
So you can send off loads of puppies or kittens to the adoption agency?  OOOH, I like that!

Also encourages the management to give Ste his own section!
128  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: I'm at a loss.. seasons crash on load on: 2007 March 03, 13:02:48
You could also delete the cigen.package file and see if that improves anything.
129  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Weird maternity outfit on: 2007 March 03, 13:02:00
I've noticed this as well. Pregnant Sims tend to show up one stage ahead off-lot.
I also notice this on the family thumbnail from the 'hood view -- a Sim who just got pregnant is already shown with a bump there.

I've never noticed the Sims looking more preggo than they are, but I have noticed them wearing different maternity wear in the family thumbnail than they wear in the game.

Could you specify who was asking the YA, another YA or an adult?  Are you using the latest version of the hack or an older one?

Gah, I was almost ready to buy Seasons, but if GrowUp is broken again...
131  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: ARRR!!! Pirate Hats for your Sims (YF/AF) - Pics unthumbnailed on: 2007 March 03, 12:18:37
Dr Pixel has nice pirate outfits too.
132  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Die Dreadful Dog on: 2007 March 03, 11:58:08
On owned community lots, you could just lock them out.  But that's another "per lot" fix.

Pleeeeeeeez, jfade, fix our fridges!

Where's surelyfunke and her avatar?
135  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Pre-Seasons clothing enabled as Outerwear | Update 4 on: 2007 March 03, 09:44:29
I'd actually like the teddy bear costumes recatagorized as outerwear only!
136  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons: What mods are you already begging for? on: 2007 March 03, 09:29:20
Venusy: cancel and get the game somewhere else, then maybe the guide will ship. They are obviously having supply issues.  Cheesy

Never order an in-stock item and an out-of-stock item from Amazon at the same time.  You will get messes like this.  I suspect it's actually the Prima guide that's causing the problem.

I'd check your local EB to see if both are in stock, then cancel the whole darn thing!  EB gives you a buck or two off on the guide if you buy it at the same time as the game.
137  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Annoying glitch with OFB uniforms on: 2007 March 03, 09:25:52
Looks like the OFB patch 2 code still hasn't been merged into the main code tree...
138  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Pre-Seasons clothing enabled as Outerwear | Update 4 on: 2007 March 03, 09:21:44
I'll give you thanks in advance!  BAAH!  BAAH!  BAAH!   I'm not buying Seasons until there are hacks or workarounds for all the stupid stuff they broke, but I will get this hack when I do have it.
139  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Feb MATY "More Awful Than You" CC Treasure Hunt: Pants! on: 2007 March 01, 06:07:49
+1 point for just poorly made (like the one where the shorts extend past the "ridge" where the hem is supposed to be).  We don't want to reward shoddy work!
140  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: holiday party pack on: 2007 March 01, 05:49:16
I installed the 2006 Stuff Pack over top of the 2005 Holiday Edition plus all EPs up to Pets with no problems.

The Holiday Packs aren't like the FFS and GL packs... they just give you more objects and skins, no monkeying with the executable.

But you'll have a nice 'puter to play with while your knee caps heal.
142  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Dumping hoods on: 2007 February 28, 08:00:22
Shouldn't make any difference.  You can always get fresh copies by renaming your The Sims 2 folder and let the game recreate them.
143  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Two questions on: 2007 February 26, 15:30:01
I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "pulled out their character files."  Do you mean you copied the UserXXXX.package files to another location on your hard drive?  If so, I'm not sure.

In the future, if you intend to uninstall and reinstall, go to My Documents/EA Games.  Rename the folder The Sims 2 to anything else, The Sims 2 protected from the uninstaller.  Once your game has at least as many of the expansion packs as it had before the uninstall, you can simply delete the new The Sims 2 folder and replace yours.
144  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Life Stories - Get the Stuffeths here! on: 2007 February 26, 15:15:21
With WinRAR if the directory doensn't exist, just type the name in the path field and it will be created for you.

You can also right click a zip or rar file and choose from "Extract Here," "Extract to nameofarchive/," etc.
145  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Missing career/NPC meshes on: 2007 February 25, 23:45:49
And make all package files in the Program Files directory Read Only!
146  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: 2 Collections Questions on: 2007 February 25, 15:47:48
Good luck with that challenge. I've never seen that one, but I know I'd find it tough simply because I'm always sending my sims to watch TV to get their fun up. I don't know what I'd do with a Medieval house!

Send them to watch the crystal ball!
147  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pets patch released on: 2007 February 25, 15:37:56
<chants I won't be an early adopter of Seasons>

Cool!  I don't keep occupied lots in the SimBin, so I can't help you there.
149  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: A Very Bad Thing with no BFBVFS on: 2007 February 24, 07:28:49
SimPE insisted on reading all my sims and neighborhoods as unknowns. Very frustrating and is why I never did learn to use the thing. It didn't mean there was anything wrong with my game though - the game is fine. SimPE is borked somehow... probably because it was installed on the main user account and my sims are on a differenter one.

I think if you open the 'hood through the Neighborhood Browser, the Sims come up correctly.  If you open the Neighborhood file directly, you get a large assortment of Unknowns.
150  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: too many professors... on: 2007 February 24, 07:27:29
Thanks, Sagana. That is exactly why I plan to create my own uni within the hood, rather than using a Uni hood.

How in the world could you do that? There wouldn't be any classes or homework, or term papers or anything. Does just putting a dorm into a regular hood make it work?

You'd need a ton of hacks, which will probably all be broken when the next edition of Lies and Propaganda comes out.

BTW, your Sims get credit toward their semester grade by interacting socially with a professor.  Even College->Rampage uses this on occasion!
