26  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: STOP with the dormie assignments! on: 2007 May 02, 00:50:38
Oh, no, I haven't tried to delete all characters lately. . . this was about a year ago.  I still play with all the no___ regen hacks though, to keep them away.  (And, yes, didn't know it was broken, either. Thanks for letting me know LOL)

Witch:  I did that, too, when TS2 1st came out.  I packaged all my favorite families and moved them to a neighborhood I had terrained with SC4.  I bragged about it, and JMP said it was bad.  I didn't take him seriously.  A few months later, I was crying and telling him, "You are right, you are more awesome than me."   Cry  If it can be broken with TS2, leave it to me to do it.  I'm worse than Maxis.  hahaha
27  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: STOP with the dormie assignments! on: 2007 May 01, 00:58:18
I found a very simple solution to this problem:  I used the deleteallcharacters cheat when I first started my neighborhood.  No dormies.  Peaceful dorm.  Smiley
28  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Anyone else want the juicer enabled for children? on: 2007 May 01, 00:52:44
Bleh, my kids learned how to warm themselves up snacks in the microwave once they could read.  (With Mom's supervision, of course!)  Why couldn't a sim-child warm up a tv dinner or some raman noodles like every other seven year old?
29  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Pre-Seasons clothing enabled as Outerwear | Update 5 on: 2007 March 10, 04:24:00
Thank you so much for this Simsbaby!  This was really, really needed!
30  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Clothing Organization - and PLEASE don't send me to SimPE!!! on: 2007 February 04, 09:00:06
jfade, you rock!  I too have been desperately needing this tool!  Thank you thank you!  Smiley

You know what else bugs me about meshes?  It drives me crazy when the mesh shows up in the clothing cataloge! I have so many downloads that I don't want to have to wade through the ugly meshes, too.
31  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cyd Roseland on: 2007 February 04, 08:40:15
That is very strange.  I've not had a single problem with Cyd.  I fixed him up, moved him a couple of times, and bred him off.
32  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Two moons, stars and werewolves on: 2007 January 09, 01:54:56
Brynn:  I hadn't seen the video before, but it was spectacularly beautiful!!!!  Awesome job!!!

I knew there were 2 moons, but I've never seen them in my game, and I have a top of the line graphics card.   Cry  Shooting stars, clouds, yes, but no moons at all.

33  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Two Problems: Disapearing default custom eyes and messed up mesh for jewelry on: 2006 December 01, 01:43:22
Sleepycat, you were right, it was very easy!  Smiley  I got it changed in less time than I thought.  Thanks again.
34  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Two Problems: Disapearing default custom eyes and messed up mesh for jewelry on: 2006 November 27, 23:21:50
Thank you for all the info!  Smiley  Sleepycat--I'm booting SimsPE up now, gonna try your method and see if that works.  Miros--no, I hadn't heard that about Dr. Pixel's mesh!  Geeze, I guess my Sims will have to be bare of Jewlery until he gets it fixed.  Thanks for the info.  Rose--I am guessing that's what happened, though I don't know why it did.  I gave both the father and the daughter a makeover, but have never seen it change eyecolor before.  It even changed the genetics, because since then the father has had another baby, and this baby has the ugly default Maxis eyes.
35  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Two Problems: Disapearing default custom eyes and messed up mesh for jewelry on: 2006 November 26, 12:05:30
Hi there.  I am having two irritating problems with my game, and wondering if anyone here has seen it or has a fix.

The first one is the problem with custom default eyes.  They dissapear with one family after I have given them a makeover.  They used to have beautiful green eyes made by Heleane, and they end up with ugly, cartoonish Maxis brown eyes.  Once you get used to looking at everyone in the game with more realistic eyes, its very jarring to have sims with the Maxis defaults.  The mother in this family is pregnant again, and I hope that the father doesn't pass on these ugly eyes to the new baby!  I have tried using Sim Surgery in SimsPE to fix it with no luck.   Angry  I know I could do it very easilly with SimsEnhancer, but I'm too damn cheap to pay for it!  LOL

My second issue is with flashing blue jewelry.  I will have a sim change appearence, and will see the jewelry right there, where it is supposed to be, looking fine.  I'll even change to a different set just in case, and she'll walk around fine for awhile.  But then she'll leave the lot and come back blinking!  What's causing this?

Thank you for any help you can give me.
36  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: pet bowl whine on: 2006 November 11, 03:55:29
I got SimAddict99's heart, fish, and bone bowls from TSR.  At least you can tell when they've turned themselves around...

I had a problem with her bone-shaped bowls.  It turned itself diagonally somehow, and my Sim Dogs wouldn't eat and wound up being taken by the Animal Cop.   Shocked
37  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Abandonated & Unconfirmed Mods: Anybody tried these with Pets? on: 2006 October 25, 00:08:36
Crammyboy's Pee-Pee works fine for me.   Wink

While on the subject of Squinge, does anyone know if he updated his mods for "Pregnancy wear any outfit" and "Buy Maternity Clothes?"  I have a whole bunch of maternity clothes going to waste in my Clothes Sub-file.
38  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How Can I Re-virginize My Sim? on: 2006 September 03, 13:57:49
I used to think that sex would be better if it were "special" but after being married for six years I think it is much better when it is relatively new and there is still an excitement factor.  Not to say sex with my husband is bad, but it doesn't have the thrill it used to when you're with someone new.

Now I think that were I ever to mysteriously become single (not something I am planning, by the way) I would enjoy having sex with friends who I was physically attracted to although I would still be unlikely to have "one night stands" because I'm rarely that attracted to people right off the bat.  Personality is important to attraction for me.

Love without sex becomes unsatisfying.  Sex without love at least is sex.

Just wanted to say that I agree with everything you've said here.  I love my husband very much, and we have great sex.  But, I do sometimes miss that excitement of a new person, the discovery of sex with someone new.  I'm not looking to trade him in.  There's also something to be said for the security that comes from being with your best friend, someone you've known and been with your entire adult life.

Maybe that's why my favorite sims to play are Romance Sims.  LOL
39  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Lot Debugger makes photobooth pics flash blue? on: 2006 September 02, 02:01:40
Are the sims in the picture still alive? Because I had the same problem, but every time, both sims in the picture had died.
40  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Even More Nanny Problems Since OFB-p2 on: 2006 August 31, 23:38:14
Gali, thank you so much for testing that for us.  Smiley
41  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Even More Nanny Problems Since OFB-p2 on: 2006 August 31, 02:33:48
Yeah, she had enough.  She wasn't a rich sim, by any means, but she did have enough to pay the nanny.
42  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How Can I Re-virginize My Sim? on: 2006 August 31, 01:39:04
My first time, the radio was on and "It's the End of the World As We Know It" by REM was playing.  Tongue

I bled a lot and fainted in the bathroom the next morning. I must have hit my head on the tub faucet because there was a clump of hair stuck to the little puller-upper thingy (you know, to make the shower come on???)

 Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked
Wow!!!!  Brynne, I'm sorry all that happened to you.
43  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How Can I Re-virginize My Sim? on: 2006 August 31, 00:39:27
Well, I waited until I was 18, and in love, and with the man who, much later, became my husband.  He'd done it one other time, with the girfriend before me.  He actually took the time to read up on deflowering virgins in some sex magazine, because he wanted it to be good.  He was sweet, we were both nervous anyway, the actual act lasted less than a minute.  I wanted to say, "You mean that's it?"  If you're old like me, and you have theBon Jovi Album, "Slippery When Wet", listen to the very beginning of "Social Disease", because that's how it went down.  LOL  But, it's not a bad memory.  It's something very speical that we shared.  It's more of an emotional, mental attatchment.  But, that's what makes us more than just animals in heat, I guess.   Tongue

Oh, and as to better, well, ya have to work at it.  But, there are nights when Hubby and I look at each other and say, 'One of these days, we're gonna kill each other doing this!"  and then, there are nights we look at each other and say, "Eh.  You didn't help with the housework and your breath smells like rotten cheese.  Think I'll roll over and go to sleep."  LOL
44  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Even More Nanny Problems Since OFB-p2 on: 2006 August 31, 00:24:39
I have started playing my Nannies with Merola's mind-control mirror so that I make make sure the babies are tended to correctly.  The other night I witnessed something I'd never seen before.  The Nanny queue'd up "Auto Bail"  action, with an icon of the mini-van.  I cancelled the action.  She paused then queue'd it up again.  Cancel.  Repeat.  Never seen this before.  Social Worker took away the baby.  It didn't break my heart, Mom was a slut who was playing revolving townie Woo Hoo.  Dad had remarried a rich sim and adopted the baby.  Life is much better for baby anyway. Smiley  Still, anyone ever seen "Auto Bail" before, or was that just me?
45  TS2: Burnination / Taster's Choice / Re: Simlogical teleporters (updated 31-05-2006) on: 2006 August 27, 13:04:16
Just wanted to say thanks for this.  I use the Teleporter Painting all the time, and it will be nice to have an updated version.  Smiley
46  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Whatever happened to his penis?! on: 2006 July 14, 14:21:58
Hummm, that's odd that it's resetting.  I've never experienced that in my game.  Once it's set, they stay set.  Smiley

47  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: EA contacted me! on: 2006 July 14, 14:17:15
Wow Brynne!!  I am so envious I can't see straight!  I entered that and heard nothing.  But, then again, you're a much better storyteller and moviemaker than I am.  Smiley  Congrats, girl!  You really deserve it!  I can't wait to see your Pescado Sim on a comercial.  Wink
48  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: New Patches for OFB and FFS on: 2006 June 17, 20:00:21
I am so freakin' confused! Huh

Okay, so I have OFB and FFS, both of them with their appropriate patches from the last time they "fixed everything."  I read that little post from MaxiodMel that says I need both of the new patches.  I can also read, and I see that the FFS patch mainly fixes OFB issues.    I've also seen that if we remove whatever file is fouling up the install, we can do the install.   Squinge says here: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?p=1266101#post1266101
that it's the object.package for OFB, well, what about those of us with FFS?   I don't know what to do.  What's been the easiest way to do it?  I really don't have time to deal with a reinstall today.
49  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Graves and Cemetery Issues on: 2006 June 04, 14:06:29
Thanks J.  Smiley  The cemetery is one I built with a church before NL came out in the hopes that we could have church weddings and funerals.  I tried binning the lot and the repositioning it, but that didn't work.  So, I'll try your cheat next.  Thanks again.
50  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Graves and Cemetery Issues on: 2006 June 03, 19:17:56
I am also having this issue.  I'm glad it's not just me.  So, which solution works the best?
