1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is it possible to make a hack to get rid of asterisks? on: 2008 November 11, 16:25:22
I've heard from a few people that its bad for your game to get rid of the astericks or to just put them in that file... Big fireball in space and all. Not sure where I saw it, gimmie a minute and I'll look.
2  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: November on: 2008 November 06, 23:23:27
Did you take your pictures with the ingame camera starlady? Cause it looks like you've uploaded your thumbnails instead of the full sized photos. If you look in the file name when your in your storytelling folder, there'll be two types of pictures. Chose the ones that aren't thumbnails and you'll get bigger pictures to post Smiley.

floopyboo: I used a different fireplace... I assume it just has to be "a" fireplace.

Bliss: Lol I tried. I love that siding, it comes in three different colors with lots of combinations if you follow the link. It's lovely. I love your house by the way, I can never get the garage to look right when I try to join them. Tongue

That front porch roof looks dangerous... Cheesy Cute though. A little criticism that I have had thrown at me, you are supposed to keep the external walls and it looks like when you extended things, you took some external walls out.

Thanks! The house strikes me as Craftsman so that was the theme that I went with. Cheesy

My first self sim family ever lived in that house for about 4 generations before moving on to bigger pastures (in the days when I had like 10 kids to a family).
6  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Can't pick undies for children with clothingtool on: 2008 November 03, 20:32:57
Yeah. There should be that option as the game comes with the tank and shorts combo for kids as undies. Maybe you have a conflicting hack?
7  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: November on: 2008 November 03, 16:53:08
Awww I loved that house...

*runs off to fix it up*

EDIT:

YES. There is CC... You know me, can't live without my build mode stuff. Cheesy It's mostly stuff that I assume most people already have so... Smiley

CC:
Outside walls by Zhaana
Windows & Doors by Marylou
Inside Walls by Nephilis1
White Fence by Holy Simoly
Shrubby Shrub by HystericalParoxysm

See? Not too much. Smiley

I stuck to the rules, it's not awesomespec but mine usually aren't.
Four bedrooms as I added a master on the main floor, two & a half baths. Added detached garage. Enjoy!

Did I mention that I heart this house? Cheesy

Well, that is how it works in a sense.  Higher level drives let you travel further without any noticeable increase in energy used that I've observed. But I can see why they did the distance limitation as a gameplay thing -- otherwise, getting to the core would be a no-brainer.  Just get max energy stores, blow it all on the trip to the core in one or two shots, and then get a free trip back home when your ship goes boom. Smiley

I hate arbitrary limitations in a game.  Especially when they exist to cover poor design.

Dammit, remember the good ol' days (tm) when we had games like Frogger where if you screwed up, you got squashed?  Or Design-a-saurus where if you didn't design yourself properly, you got eated?

Why do so many "kiddie" games these days think that failure is taboo?

[edit] I'm sorry, I skipped a few points there...I'm referring to the non-existant death penalty in the space stage.

Because its taboo for kids to fail these days. Just look at all the schools that have abolished the "F" grade...

I believe you can extend which is what I did. I could be wrong though.
10  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: September on: 2008 September 28, 16:07:04
Here's mine... Its definitely not awesomespec but the stairs can easily be locked by changing the arch to a door and the kitchen can be locked the same way. I didn't decorate, but I never do, since I hate predecorated houses. It's mostly Maxis save for a terrain paint from Parsimonous, a window and door from the Lafenetre set by Windkeeper, HP's shrubby shrub, fence by Holy Simoly and the floor out by the pool by a creator at MTS2 that I can't remember at the moment. Requires all EP's, no stuff packs.

I've not done much to it on the outside, just brought out the dining room a bit, but I completely changed the floor plan.

Does anyone know if the wormholes spit you out at the same place every time... I can't seem to figure it out as I took a few before I went to bed last night but can't remember how many it was to get back to where I started. Smiley *prepares for sporking*
12  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Lest we forget: SPORE on: 2008 September 16, 00:17:53
I'm still confused as to how you download other people's creatures?

There is two ways.  At the Spore website in the Sporepedia you right click on what you want and save it to the creatures folder.  The other way is in the game if you are able to go online.  Go to the Sporepedia, and under creatures click Search Online.  There is a link under each creation for downloading.

So since I have an arr'ed game I probably shouldn't do the second one?

That's what I figured.

I did have a question. Can you play windowed mode? Is it the same as TS2?
16  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Lest we forget: SPORE on: 2008 September 09, 14:55:48
Would someone pretty please link me to a copy of the full version of Creature Creator? Cheesy

I thought the full version of the Creature Creator was part of the game, and what was released a month or so ago was just a limited preview of it?

Orly? I hadn't noticed. Smiley
17  Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Re: Lest we forget: SPORE on: 2008 September 08, 22:52:02
$50? You PAID for it? Pft... Cheesy

This is my first Arr... Thank God for #Grah.
My game crashed as well, but it was only loading from cell to creature. I was still mad though.

Would someone pretty please link me to a copy of the full version of Creature Creator? Cheesy

Good lord, mines only at 8.0kB/s... Anyone know how to speed it up a bit?
19  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful than You! July: AUGH, get that stuff off my face! on: 2008 July 09, 18:50:48
I have been searching in vain for the various fugly forehead antennae I used to see all the time when I wasn't looking for them.

Perhaps you refer to this spastic little gem?

snipsnip

Lovingly crafted from the handplucked wings of the finest crackhouse moths money can buy...

Also shown on the creator's adult model, Bella Moth.

Ugh.

Sadly enough those were a request...

Is there somewhere I can get a list of what is Awesomespec? Purdy please?
21  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Fail: July on: 2008 July 06, 07:20:09
Bah me too KChan.

*photo curses at the dreadful pond/pool and resumes rebuilding*

I assume we can nix the pond like thingy? Cause that would be grand...
23  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful Than You! March: Fugly Models on: 2008 April 02, 21:59:23
do we have a winner? or loser i should say...
24  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful Than You! March: Fugly Models on: 2008 March 26, 17:09:27
like i SAID. i LOOKED at the link and didn't think they were ALL from that set. he looks an awful lot like her fox mulder sim, but you're right (shit did i just say that?) he is the one from the queer as folk set.
25  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful Than You! March: Fugly Models on: 2008 March 26, 04:16:13
Fansee's (who by the way is a girl) models are overly cartoony but I don't know if I would say they're ugly... And actually I believe the middle one is supposed to be Fox Mulder from the X-Files... I could be wrong though Cheesy
look at the link

YES. thanks. she does use the fox sim for a lot of modeling though and the middle one looks like it.
