51  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: buying clothes for non-playables, is there a better way? on: 2008 May 04, 02:28:24
TJ's blender - does that make the permanent genetic changes?

Unfortunately no, making the changes genetic still requires SimPE.

jennydee, I don't know if this would suit your needs but you could use Theo's wardrobe cleaner plug-in for Wizards of SimPE. I use it after every age-up to get rid of the hideous clothes my Sims always get stuck in (the last one was the chicken suit). You can find it here.

I've been using Inge's teleporter to move in Townies, give them a new set of clothes with Numenor's hacked coat rack, use TJ's SimBlender for makeovers and facelifts, then sending them back to the Townie pool with the teleporter. I had my Sims buy a clothing store and was using that to change everyone's clothing but I was having trouble keeping track of whom I'd already sold clothing to so I gave up on doing it that way.
53  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Which ep did this come from? on: 2008 May 03, 16:47:29
Here at Sims2Workshop.
54  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: considering getting more expansions, seeking advice on: 2008 May 01, 04:46:20
I agree with aussieone, Seasons has been the only EP that I enjoyed from the start. The others have grown on me, FT included, but Seasons is definitely a cut above the rest. I was especially disappointed with BV because Vacation was one of my favorite TS1 EPs but I have really come to love Twikkii Island and beachfront properties. You could always ARRRR! the EPs if you wanted to "try before you buy".

LOL no, no elephant man. Just a Servo going through his nightly werewolf phase.  Tongue
56  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Vampire motives at work on: 2008 April 30, 03:03:59
I only play this one household so a reset wouldn't be a huge problem for me. It would certainly be better than having a Sim standing by the energizer every night to plead with the Reaper in case he can't use it in time.
57  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Vampire motives at work on: 2008 April 29, 20:38:08
If I exit the household while my vampire is at work, when I re-enter the lot he comes come with his motives looking like this:

His hunger and bladder are high because he ate and peed while at work. OTOH if I continue to play the lot until he comes home without exiting or visiting another lot in between, he returns with his motives at 3/4 full or more. I keep his coffin in the garage with his car so he doesn't need to go outside to the carpool to get to work. Is this normal vampire behavior? He ended up dying on his way to the energizer right after I took this screenshot. I'm guessing was sunlight exposure even though it was 10PM. I have all EPs and SPs and nearly all of my hacks come from here or are by TwoJeffs. HCDU shows nothing out of the ordinary.
58  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's on YOUR Wish List? on: 2008 April 29, 20:22:53
I wish my Sims were trainable and developed routines. If, for example, I made a Sim use the toilet and shower every morning and then sent him/her off to work on a novel every day for a week or so, I'd like it if my Sim would start doing that routine without me having to queue it up. You know, as opposed to waking up, making the bed, then playing the guitar until motive failure. Macrotastics helps a lot in this regard but I'd still like my Sims to learn behaviors.
59  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Buy Jewelry Preview Problem on: 2008 April 25, 21:11:55
What EPs and/or SPs do you have? Does removing your downloads folder fix the problem? Am I the only one who can't see the pics?

They are in Hobbies ... Misc. with the crafting benches.
61  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: No Hobby Spam on: 2008 April 24, 21:00:47
I'd like to know that as well, I have been trying to figure out the Hobby Membership tokens and can't make heads or tails of them. I'd really like to revoke memberships once a Sim's enthusiasm dips below 500. If they aren't going to maintain the hobby, they shouldn't have access to the sekrit lot.
62  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Rave about starter homes and 20k? Loan, we need loans! on: 2008 April 23, 04:46:52
I've been sticking unplanned Sims on hammocks on a balcony or porch. Sometimes I have to get them inside in the winter to warm up but it's been cool enough at night so far that they aren't overheating.
63  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Camera Mod for FT? on: 2008 April 22, 17:57:18
I've been using that one for as long as I can remember and haven't had any problems with it either.
64  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Empty and Cleaned-up Templates. [UPDATED] on: 2008 April 22, 17:39:03
I don't think you did anything wrong - when you reinstalled the base game it added the three original neighborhoods, before you had a chance to replace everything with cleaned/empty templates. The templates don't affect already existing neighborhoods but if you started a new neighborhood it should be empty. If you want to empty out the original three hoods, drag the Neighborhoods subfolder from My Documents to someplace safe (in case you want to put it back at some point or whatever) and allow the game to generate the folder again. This time the neighborhoods should be empty.
65  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: HARDER Harder Jobs, Please! on: 2008 April 22, 16:05:25
That's a lot of simoleons!  Let me guess, the family doesn't need the money from selling it by now so the value is pretty irelevant except that their bills are nicely impressive!

Well, in this case the paintings are portraits of previous generations so no one is allowed to cash them in. I have another hallway full of masterpieces that the family has painted in case of emergencies but they are indeed very well off so they are just wall clutter now. I don't think they do a whole lot for room score. I have them on the ground floor in the main hallway area and I can't seem to get the room score there above half. I don't know if it's the stairs, the elevator, or the amount of open space but the environment score just doesn't want to budge. I thought having the paintings there would help but the meter is still stuck at half. Maybe I should change the color and see if they like violent violet or something better. Tongue

4 seasons.
67  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Abductions not resulting in pregnancy? on: 2008 April 22, 02:32:17
Search for UFOs allegedly has a higher chance of abduction but a much lower chance of coming back pregnant. Not sure about the pregnancy odds with Summon Aliens.
68  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: HARDER Harder Jobs, Please! on: 2008 April 21, 20:29:29
A couple of portraits in my Sims' house are worth a bit over §3800. The Sim who painted them has been dead for three generations now. Two grilled cheese paintings are worth about 1k less and the painter of them has been dead for about two Sim years.
69  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Children's workout cloths on: 2008 April 21, 04:50:36
There are Sims2Packs with objects in them at TSR, I have no idea how they were created though. Would it be possible to use CleanInstaller to do it?
70  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: FT borked the GLS stereo on: 2008 April 21, 04:05:24
The stereo has all of the dances on it in my game - the only GLS hack that I can find in my Downloads is this one from Lord Darcy but I don't think that affects the stereo at all. Do you perhaps have the hula and slap dance fixes from Dizzy? The dances only appear on the stereo if the Sim is in the same room with it.
71  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Adding textures for making custom clothes on sewing machine, is it possible? on: 2008 April 20, 18:57:28
You can sew custom clothes as well - I think that's where one of the problems with the FT patch came in though.
72  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Adding textures for making custom clothes on sewing machine, is it possible? on: 2008 April 20, 18:19:38
At least tell me my sims can sew what's already in the game if they so choose?

Yes. It's cheaper to sew the outfit than it is to buy it from a clothing shop.
73  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Pinstar's new Apocalypse challenge on: 2008 April 19, 16:00:26
The legacy challenge website says the apocalypse rules are coming soon but that was dated March 2.
74  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: using clean neighborhood templates on: 2008 April 18, 05:04:23
DeleteallCharacters does a half-assed job of actually doing what it claims to do. It leaves behind bits and pieces of the previous characters in the neighborhood file which will crap up your neighborhood in due time. More details can be found through the search option. Using empty templates gets around this problem so your neighborhoods can explode from entirely unrelated problems.  Wink
75  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Does anyone still have the FT patch? on: 2008 April 18, 01:17:12
I believe it is a separate error that isn't related to the skins.package issue.
