It should be in build mode under bushes. Are you looking in buy mode or build mode?
I looked in Buy Mode at first lol, but remembered and checked under Build Mode. Not there. Have you enabled CC at the initial load screen? You do need to quit then and reload the game... it's a step I always forget...
LOL thank you ness, that was the issue. I'm such a dumbass! The first time I brought up the game after the reinstall I turned off the dialog, but since I hadn't had any CC in the game at that point I hadn't gotten it the first time to Enable it. *polonius crawls back under her rock*

Right, so I did a clean reinstall of my game when I got Pets. Only cc put back in at this point is Body Shop stuff and hacks. (I checked, her teleporter shrub is in my Inge - Hacks directory, not my Buy Mode directory - not THAT dumb lol.) It's not showing up in my game now for some reason. Is it not compatible with pets? I made 32 freakin sims in CAS and now I can't make them townies OH NOES!!!!!1111oneoneone No, but seriously, after so many hours of townie designing, this is pissing me off. Anyone have any suggestions?

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Piano volume (or: Am I really the only one with this problem?)

I've grumbled about this and attempted to pursue various solutions, but there seems to be no way to crank the volume up on th piano specifically. It appears the source WAVs are simply recorded too quietly and there is no way to modify these effectively.
Damn! Part of me was afraid the problem was the recorded tracks they used. Well, I thought I'd ask... seemed like if anyone knew how to do it, it would be the crew here. It's strange how not everyone has the problem, and not all the time.

Sometimes I can't hear the piano, either, but usually it's so soft (even zoomed right in on it) that I can hardly hear it. If I turn the volume up, then another sim will invariably grab the guitar to practice and - BAM! - instant headache while they shred those strings.
Exactly what happens to me! It's so irritating... I'll even take several minutes to make sure the camera is centered in the room the piano is in and focused on the piano and zoomed in so close I can't even see the Sim playing it any more! Please tell me there's a way for some awesome one to hack this.

Okay, I've been looking around for a fix to this and can't seem to find one, so either I'm not looking hard enough or nobody else has had this issue. Maybe the gods of PC games just hate me or something, but I canNOT hear the piano in my game! When Sims are Performing... something I can hear them okay if I turn the volume up a bit, but when they Practice I can't hear them at all unless I turn my speakers all the way up. And then if someone wanders by and cheers or if the phone rings, I jump three feet in the air and spill my soda all over my lap. As a classical musician, I really want to listen to my Sims practice piano, though I'd like to find a less messy way to do it lol . Adjusting the 'music volume' in the game has no effect. I may be non-awesome, but I at least thought to play with all my sound settings. Does anyone know of a way to fix this (the piano, not my non-awesomeness )?

AnimatedWindowHack *is intrigued* Would anyone with this hack in their game care to elaborate exactly what it does? I'm guessing it enables creators to create window objects with open and closed conditions, similar to the one Helena has over at Pixel Sims (which has wonderful build mode objects, like sliding closet doors and swinging saloon doors, if any here are interested in such things). To Raene: thanks so much for checking. You don't have to turn your computer inside out looking for it, though; I'm sure somebody here will eventually post it.

woot! so glad to see you're still alive and well... and also of course that the project is still inching forward lol Take your time, although honestly, to judge from what we've seen so far, a template you consider "imperfect" is probably infinitely better than the "finished" ones in Maxis's set. Lol I'm as excited (or maybe more so) about this project as for the upcoming EP!
