That is a wonderful western house. Great reproduction.
52  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Cheats for career specific books? on: 2013 July 14, 23:45:13
If you are running AM with all the debug settings on, there is a ctrl click option to add books to the bookshelf. This adds everything from the basegame as far as I can tell. You get all the work books, but none of the new skilling books.

I resent this tard's use of Purple.

Also I have never gotten simport to work correctly. Meh.

Consider this my official complaint about the post title. I'd post it in the cheese with your wine section, but I could die of starvation before Cockular gets around to supplying the cheese. Angry
It's "Deleting the buggers" Bliss, not bugger. After all, we can't have more than one of you.

There's a mod at MTS that removes the scales from mermaids in human form and makes them much less stupid.

Awesome, now if we could only find one for you...

What did the jezzer ever do to you?

Perhaps a tard sock?
57  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Deleting the buggers on: 2013 July 08, 21:05:52
I regularly delete households after evicting them without issue, I've also used the awesomemod rapture/ townie removal features without any issues. I haven't tried deleting a sim in game with shift-click though.
TS3 doesn't have the same level of interconnectedness between sims as TS2, so there should be no real issues with nuking. After all, the game randomly "moves" people away by design.

The tard is strong with this one.

I was one of the people who voted no, because I find these sorts of challenges quite hard. Plus there isn't many Sims 3 tools that can accurately make a Queenslander home.

But thanks to the bogans, I can present to you the McMansion. A favourite of Housing Estates, where your house should take up most of your block and have more rooms than ever needed. Fill it with furniture bought on interest free and throw in some bamboo for "culture".

Front of house

Ground floor - guest bedroom and bathroom

[
Ground floor - study, laundry and two car garage.

Eat-in kitchen, dining room and bar, and main lounge

Ground floor overview

Overhead view of pool with water feature

Overhead view of 2nd story

Top Balcony

Master bedroom and ensuite, media room

Nursery and single bedroom 1

Single bedroom 2 and ensuite

It comes it at about $236,000 furnished and $150,000ish unfurnished [wanded] on a 30x30 block. Made with all EPs, SPs, and store stuff.

60  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: AM testing for patch 1.55 on: 2013 July 03, 08:11:39
Part of the criteria to test AM is to find the test version.
If you can't find it, you can't be trusted to use a beta version.
61  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Game freezes and stops responding at start up on: 2013 July 02, 02:12:55
@Firefly
Hmm, both of these things say that my hard drive is in good health

@SJActress
Thanks, that's a nifty program.  It didn't seem to fix my Sims problems, but I'm definitely going to keep it for other stuff.

@wizard_merlin
I patch from the launcher so I think everything is all patched up.  And I'm posting here because the official Sims 3 forums kind of suck.  I did have some mods and pirated stuff before, including awesomemod, but I deleted them when I reinstalled so I could see if I could run TS3 if it was completely vanilla.  As for how long I've had this problem, it's been at least two years.  One thing I probably should have mentioned; I CAN play my game if I leave it frozen like that for about 3 hours.  Then it just pops back to normal and plays well, without freezing.

Completely vanilla, no CC hairs? This happened to me with bad downloads, I had to use process monitor to sort out which ones were loading over and over again.
62  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2013 July 02, 00:37:52
I have not played the Sims in a while and just bought a package from Steam that is up to Supernatural and reports game version 1.55
I installed the latest awesomemod and when the game launches I get an error "Non-critical core mismatch! A core file not part of AwesomeMod does not match expected values." I press ignore and the game launches but all buttons are unclickable and all pulldowns are blank. I am running a clean install with nothing but awesomemod and framework for mods.

Any ideas?

Thanks

AM is only up to 1.50. 1.55 is in testing - if you can find it, you get to use it. If not, wait for the stable release.

I think I have worked out what is causing the sound issues - I have that stupid swan peddle boat in IP and my sound stopped when some townie was on it. Managed to nuke it, no issue.
63  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.55 on: 2013 July 02, 00:31:40
I am running 1.55 with IP and test AM. Not having any issues at this stage.
64  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Piss and Moan about IP thread on: 2013 July 02, 00:30:45
I'm finding IP to be virtually unplayable. Horrible lag (even in Buy/Build modes. FPS is stable, there just seems to be a delay between every click and action when I'm building) and I'm getting a constant barrage of unroutable sims in the new hood.

I am getting a bit of lag in build buy, manly when I try and use the eyedropper. I have made my first dive lot in Sunlit Tides using the tutorial linked from the BBS, it works well.
65  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Items refuse to install on: 2013 June 30, 00:31:35
Have you tried using CC Magic? It might get around the problem, since it empties the download folder and uses it's own cache.
It might let you work around the issue.
66  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Piss and Moan about IP thread on: 2013 June 30, 00:10:49
Haven't had a chance to test this yet,  but it was posted on the Forum.  Original poster seems to have created dive spots in Sunset Valley and Sunlite Tides. http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/689285.page#10995674

Awesome. This looks very promising.

For those wondering: there is a buff while you are underwater controlling how much air you have left, and afterwards you get a "depressurising" buff that stops you from going back down straight away.
67  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Piss and Moan about IP thread on: 2013 June 29, 21:49:38
Not sure about pee increasing the likelihood of being eaten. There was an underwater cave with tentacles sticking out, that is the next thing on my list of horrors to explore.

I can confirm you need to snorkel to get to scuba, once you get to level 2 you can start exploring the underwater zones. They are rated by skill level.

I don't know if I am liking the boat taxi thing - it depends how well it will work with the next round of CAW. If scuba is restricted to this world it is going to be a very boring skill.

69  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.55 on: 2013 June 29, 07:49:56
Last time I looked there was a test version, for those game enough.

70  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: White loading screen and missing menu strings after patch 1.55 on: 2013 June 22, 04:31:08
I won't patch until the AM for 1.55 comes out, and will probably do it in conjunction with installing the new EP that comes out next week.

Either treat yourself to some casual play sans AM or install again and stop at 1.50.

Are there any extra arbitrary goals? Starter priced, number of floors / bedrooms? I'm starting this now and wondering if there will be some extra internet points on offer.  Grin
74  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Lot Challenge, April 2013, TINY lots. on: 2013 May 06, 01:02:41
Can anyone make 16 Alameda Walk sit flush to the ground? Everytime I try to install it into a game it creates a great pit of the lot on which I place it?

It does that for me, too. The house was probably not built on a flat section.

I've voted my votes. I didn't vote for any houses with living underground, or those that made sims live in glass boxes, as I personally prefer realism in my game. It was still a hard choice as there are so many yummy lots.

*makes note to put SimWitch in the my Qube.
75  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Splash N Stroke - Community Pool 40x30 on: 2013 May 04, 00:42:01
I've been playing with CAW again, and made this for my new world.

Splash N Stroke is built with all EPs and SPs, and using Store content, but no other CC.

40x30 lot. Has: tanning booth, photo booth, ice cone machine, juice keg, coffee stand, ping pong table, whack a gnome, a lounge area with TV, spa, a lap pool and a splash pool as well as a nice little alcove for your celebrity sims.
