but that's why you have merging your packages. Shove them all together in one file and less load.

I also noted that some people (me included) had issues of the launcher randomly uninstalling stuff after a certain point.

But either way is a fine way to do it. If one method works for you, great. If the other method works for you, That's great too.

Sorry for the noob question.

Which one better...

Keep all store contents as package files? (except world items, decrapified and installed using launcher)

or9

Install all of it thru launcher as decrapified sims3package files?

For years, I keep it as package files, but many of the items have problems, like uncolorable counter, unworking premium items, etc. I have a thought to install everything thru launcher, may be it can fix all the problems I have. What do you guys think?

Ok, ignoring what Eurotard said cause I spy some outdated info (blue lots were loong time ago and missing textures, Pfft.)

I would say you should keep in package form as the Launcher is a broken bunch of mess and tends to have issues with a ton of content installed. Also, you don't have to Decrapify your store content before converting to Package. As far as your store worlds You can do another way around that to get them to install so that they are an original copy rather than decrapped (good for if you want to use fixes that aren't decrapped or want a lot that requires the original Store item).

-  Worlds, You basically drop onto S3RC, Extract with Multipack, Select the largest file (rename it to ".world" and drop in With Sunset Valley in the Program files) Now for the rest of the little files (Exception of lots. find those and place in your Library (my Docs)) you can combine and toss into your Mods>Package folder. From there you have the full on original Store world with no decrapping needed. It takes longer, but it's better than using the launcher.

-  As far as counters go, it's a hit or miss situation, you have to try really hard to select the corners and from there select the first preset, thus resetting the textures. if that doesn't work, I believe there is a way to reset the Textures if you use DebugEnabler (MC) , Not sure on AwesomeMod. The way with DE is to select>Nraas>Debug enabler> Options:object name>Object...>Reset textures and from there you should be able to select it and Cast it with the other counter bits.

-  Now for the borked premium items, there are fixes, You have to namely place them In Overrides rather than in Packages and don't decrap the Premium stuff.

Search another thread for simpoint items. The pudding is out there, you simply have to reach out and take it.

This idiot, like all the others, wants it spoonfed directly to them with cuddly compliments and pats on the back for being new instead of actually searching for it themselves, which clearly shows their lack of interest in the item and rather large hope someone will do it for them.
(Bleh I am late to that quoting... whatever)

Also, Jeezer, is it time to just dump Mr. and Mrs. dumpster and get a new one? it's apparent that Euroshit and FlerpityDerpityDick are a match made in retardo-land.

Well I am one to please. I would say if it wants to be nuked, then drop one.

We're getting awfully close to a RETARdoh winner here.
I figured it already won that award, considering the tardliness of it.

Mim, When is violence never a viable option? It's always a valid option, even when you never are considering it.

Hrmm, Try running through S3RC and Converting to Package. Then using Custard or S3PE (for the fun in the Guess and check method Tongue) identify the lot file and move to the Library, the objects, you can merge and move to your Mods>Packages folder.

For some reason EA had to bork the shit out of this lot. There is no Premium shit. Oh yeah, and the launcher is evil.
58  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patching The Sims 3 [RG] Catalyst Repack? on: 2014 April 10, 02:38:29

Oh, for fucks sake, if you are gonna cuss, FUCKING CUSS! Don't give me none of that "oh I can't say fuck because it would harm my delicate sensibilities" bullshit.

Also, darling, you ain't even worth me wasting the energy contemplating raging at you. You ain't even worth the energy I have wasted up to now responding to you.

I would totally (if I had teh chances and powers) vote in favor of giving him a new avatard and giving him the title of "Cumdumpster" to complement the trash name. Just kidding. I would never waste a vote or a name on such idiotic trash.

This idiot is competent enough to even be an example to potential brainless imitators or to even be able to manage more than one account?

Inability to recognize tone is a little to kind. How about too stupid to recognize either tone or annoyance with it?

Maybe he's one of those idiots that believes the Holocaust never happened. He probably thinks that the gif is just a funny joke and the symbol depicted at the end has no historical value or meaning.

Tbh, I didn't even remember having it. I had to sit here and uncombine it out of my files (while removing other things).
64  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patching The Sims 3 [RG] Catalyst Repack? on: 2014 April 06, 05:23:55
I vote we give this trashcan a new icon and title.  I even can come up with a list of complementary titles for his username.
65  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 11.02.2013) on: 2014 April 05, 22:22:14
You won't believe it but it seems I got my Stuff working when I removed everything but them. I then proceeded in and found the likely cause may be Anak_Ponti's update of Blackcat07's Ingredients overhaul mod (which was updated to 1.63 and Monte vista Harvestables) I removed it and am testing now.

Now Notably, I am still having issues with the Bohemian garden stuff not integrating with the bakery oven. I dunno if it's cooking skill related, but my sim only gets an option to serve foods and nothing with the harvestables. I am not sure how it works, but I was assuming they were new recipes.

EDIT: I confirmed Anak_Ponti's update of Blackcat07's Ingredients overhaul mod is the problem. the mod is not updated to Bohemian gardens and the Current one that is linked on the uploads page I doubt is updated to the Bakery set. I can play fine sans it so I pulled it until it's fully up to date. Thanks for being of help anyway and answering my stupid questions.
66  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 11.02.2013) on: 2014 April 05, 13:45:31
I will check it out and pop up results. I am gonna hopefully doubt it, but it's good to find a glitch.

EDIT: 5 of the 8 plants are still busted for me (strawberry, pecan, rasberry, peach, pear). The remaining three still don't work with the bakery set. Now for the Bakery Set, I tried out buying a group meal from the register. I have a single sim and all I see when looking through the menu is to purchase serving plates not group meals.  Oddly when I place them from family inventory they turn into full meals. Upon trying to click these items, I only get the Browse interaction

BTW: I am running it as packages. I am gonna try placing the plants fix in the Overrides and seeing if they work out. (EDIT: Nope! no cigar at all)
67  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 11.02.2013) on: 2014 April 05, 02:09:54
Yep!

I am also noticing that Aside from most of the Bohemian plants not working for me, the ones that do work don't work with the bakery oven AT ALL. My CCMerged is in all the correct locations and updated, notouching's decrap fixes are in the overrides and I have all current fixes as of now. I run everything as packages BTW.
68  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patching The Sims 3 [RG] Catalyst Repack? on: 2014 April 03, 20:34:06
I am one to feed my dog the scraps. Why not give him the bones from my chicken? Makes for a nice little treat type thing. now if Eurotrash came to my table begging for scraps, I would punch him in the mouth.

Now on a derailing note, I remember this one time when I was living with my father (about a year ago) I went to answer the door and I came back to find my stepmum's shorkie had eaten my food (Mind you it was some chicken strips, cause chicken strips are tasty). Oh gurl, I was pissed.
69  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2014 March 27, 13:32:24
So then just extract it to Package. Check with CUSTARD to figure out which file is which. Take the lot file and toss it into the Library, then take the rest of the stuff (you can merge the shit or not.Merging recommended.) and toss into Mods>Packages. The launcher is a fucked up nightmare and I do not have any idea why people still attempt to even try to use that shit.

ETA: Just for those who can't install it
Here is Villa Paraíso converted to Package. (Launcher Independence FTW)
Lot file goes in Library, Objects go into Mods>Packages. There is no PC, so you can quit your whining now.

As Far as the Monarch suite went on the forums, I read there were new patterns and presets for the set, I didn't see any in the listing, so I am skeptical on it.
71  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Converting UL rabbit holes to function as hospital/city hall/bookstore etc. on: 2014 February 23, 01:35:46
This is marvellous news. Any hints on how to convert them to the combined rabbit holes? I'm assuming it would be equally simple, such as just putting in "Sims3.Gameplay.Objects.RabbitHoles.BookstoreAndSpa", or something similar.

EDIT: So, yes, this works, and is rather simple to do so. I converted the Annex RH into a school/stadium combo simply by looking up the appropriate code (Sims3.Gameplay.Objects.RabbitHoles.ComboSchoolStadium) but they act as default replacements and when I sent my sim to get a job at the new stadium, it came up as "BlahBlah needs to be at the Schmidt Memorial Stadium and Annex..." Any ideas on how to change the names of the rabbitholes, and have them appear as separate packages? This is my first foray into anything beyond simply playing the game, if it wasn't obvious.

What you did was probably clone it without making it unique. In S3OC, you must tick Renumber/Rename internally and set it up with a new name. As far as changing the names of the rabbitholes themselves (I think it only applies to catalog description), it would be in the STBLs which can be edited from S3OC.

Jezzer! That is advanced level thinking! This tard is unable to handle that sort of thinking with a comment like that. Therefore, I propose we make sure it never breeds.

74  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 11.02.2013) on: 2014 February 16, 02:26:28
Ok, I have all the fixes to the glass blowing station and everything. Now I noticed another issue. My sim doesn't seem to be putting on the jewelry made with the station, nor does the jewelry show up in the CAS screen when I plan outfit.

EDIT: I checked in more depth, it also looks like the windows don't even show up in the inventory when made/ Everything but the Windows and accessories are busted for some odd reason :/

Oi, I am an idiot, I assumed it would show in sim inventory and not family inventory.
75  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Worlds that use all/most store content? on: 2014 February 11, 03:16:03
A world that uses all the different store stuff would be a fucking eyesore.

Not if you do it right, but that in itself is a fucking challenge to do. EA Sore content is at best full of fail and absolute stupidity, which makes making it all look good and flow together like having a deathwish.
