TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patching The Sims 3 [RG] Catalyst Repack?

Probably, I was thinking of registering as self-employed in getting this masterfully coded game to work properly but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I just want to know if and how I can update it in these conditions. I don't really care much about EA's half-assed updates since they fix one thing and break three more, but since *cough* Awesomemod self-destructs when it becomes outdated I basically have to chose between a broken game or no Awesomemod.

How does one update a Russian repack of The Sims 3 Complete from 1.63 to 1.67 without the original 1.63 Russian files? Finding those is like finding a needle in a haystack and since this is a repack I never had the original files...
Tried using 1.63 files from other regions, nada. Still looking for the original Russian files but I'm hoping maybe there's a workaround I don't know about...

I don't see what's out of the ordinary. Things in The Sims 3 rarely work as they should.
It could be caused by a mod but I've had stuff like this happen in an unmodded game (yes unmodded, forgive me father, for I have sinned). Best to just live with it.

I'm beginning to believe my sims are conspiring a revolution against my godlike abilities. The whole situation is very irritating and I am becoming strangely paranoid, to say the least.
Gee, you don't say. How would you like it if someone mind-controlled you and threatened to drop that damn plum-bob on your head if you even thought about breaking free?

@eurotard, may I know what forum you help at or blog you write? So I may block it from ever entering my hemisphere in case I click the link by mistake. If anyone follow that 9-step reinstall trash, you're even dumber than the tard that comes up with it.
That tard who doesn't bitch about technical issues all the time cause he doesn't have them* I'd rather curse at EA for stuff they actually suck at, not their idiot customers' fails. @Eurotrash be kindly and do not answer more in this thread.... or I fuck you (using your expression). You are so aggressive without any reason.
Yeah well like it or not that's the most help you're gonna get here buddy. Why aren't you asking this crap on ModTheSims? That seems more like your kind of place. so... 1. All my EP and SP are buyed.
Then again, why not the Sims 3 forums? I'm sure EA would love to help you.

Yeah I'm not sure I understand exactly when your game runs like crap and when not, but here's the correct install order of expansions / stuff packs, bad install order (and human stupidity) are the no.1 cause of game cancer in the Sims world.
1. Base game. 2. Pre-Generations base game updates. 3. Pre-generations expansions. 4. Pre-Generations expansion updates (YES ALL OF THEM). 5. 1.55 mega-update. 6. All the other overpriced expansions. 7. 1.55 mega-update AGAIN. 8. Crack (if needed) (and if not needed, fuck you) 9. Awesomemod, Errortrap, Overwatch and Traveler.
If you followed these steps and your game still runs like crap there are only two possible solutions:
A. Remove most or all mods. B. Get a better fucking PC or learn to maintain your current one.
Sorry that's how it works :3 There is no miracle solution for PC performance. Game Booster helps a bit if you're too lazy to close the background processes yourself but not that much.
Hope I helped. And if not, I don't care.

I'm finding IP to be virtually unplayable. Horrible lag (even in Buy/Build modes. FPS is stable, there just seems to be a delay between every click and action when I'm building) and I'm getting a constant barrage of unroutable sims in the new hood.
Then get a better PC.

Now now, lets not get too hasty to judge. If no one bought their games/products there'd be no one to share/pirate them.
Irrelevant. I was talking about the consumer base, AKA the millions of retardos ignorant people who in good conscience give money to EA even though they know they are paying $60 for a 5$ game and are keeping EA in business. Yeah, they need to get a few copies out there for the hackers to work with, and at least make enough to pay the people who make the game. Of course they probably do that the first day it's released.
"A few copies" and "a few million copies" are two different things. Well, sort of, you get the point.
