51  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is there a mod for hiding the Maxis bedsheets from the base game? on: 2007 March 15, 21:32:40
Yes, please! Default replacements might work better.
I was just looking at Motoki's maxis clothing hider thingy and that's what got me thinking of hiding the ugly bedsheets.

This really doesn't belong in the Peasantry.  Questiony type posts probably should go in the Podium or maybe Retardo Land. Tongue

Ste

LOL, well, since I have searched and not found I thought that the chance of a mod such as this existing would be remote and therefore this is more of a modding request.

I hope you were not offended by my joke.

I love your houses!

Is there any way to download one of your neighborhoods complete with lots placed (and maybe even a few families)?

I have no idea how to do that, and I'm sure it would be a monster to download, but I might check into that Smiley

Thanks for the compliments King Corky!

Thank you! I would be very happy if it it was possible.

How about:

Checking for duplicates?

Automatically install hoods and subhoods properly?
55  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Is there a mod for hiding the Maxis bedsheets from the base game? on: 2007 March 15, 07:28:27
I am getting WAY tired of scrolling past the Maxis bedsheets that came with the base game.
I don't remember if they added some more in other EP's but if someone could point me to a mod that saves me the eternal scrolling I would be happy.

Very useful!

Baah very much.  Kiss

Could you make something similar for the fridge, ie how much stock in it?
58  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons: Plant sims on: 2007 March 12, 13:57:43
I had a sim spawn a plantsim (not all that great-looking) have him grow up and spawn another plant-sim (fairly decent looking if I say so myself).
I cured them both and they are still not bad looking, although it seems that talking to regular sims about their plantsim experience seems to not impress other sims... Cheesy
59  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Face Template Replacements - Testers Wanted - INCOMPLETE Beta [9 July] on: 2006 August 20, 07:52:00
I am using Nailati's templates (the ones that are finished) now.
They are absolutely beautiful!
And the one that you just posted is perfect, don't change a thing on it.

I know what you are going through, Nailati, take care, deal with the problem but if it gets too much for you, you can always distract yourself with templates... Cheesy
60  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Face Template Replacements - Testers Wanted - INCOMPLETE Beta [9 July] on: 2006 August 08, 13:07:03
While I impatiently wait for these gorgeous templates to get done:

Is it possible to mix them with some other templates? I have found some that have child templates, you see.

EDIT: I can't even download the ones you have made, "too many people are downloading..." error message.

Colossal cave.....  I never got the hang of SimAnt and SimCity was impossible when you upped the difficulty, remember that awful disaster noise when your whole city was going up in flames?  I still play Colonization - anyone ever heard of it?  By today's standard the graphics suck and the music always was glitchy and electronic sounding, but I remember just loving the beginning with the intro picks of European docks and then this little ship in the middle of the big blue ocean with no land in sight....  Still play it sometimes.

What's the point in cheating? - cheats cheat themselves.. mum was a teacher so I absorbed that whole ethic like blotting paper.  The game's too easy already.  I cheat when something has screwed up on the lot, but that's about it.

SimAnt just aggravated me, SimFarm even more so, but Colonization is still fun! Transport Tycoon Deluxe too. I get all my old games from "Home of the Underdogs" (can't get link to there at work).

63  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Alien Face Replacements? on: 2006 June 19, 08:58:35
I agree JAM, but you still have to rest your eyes on them and *shudder* breed them and I for one prefer green humanlooking sims to hideous monstrosities. I've got enough of those with the Maxis made townies.... Roll Eyes
64  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: 'No Patch' Play - How do you feel about this? on: 2006 June 16, 14:08:12
Yes, it IS frustrating but what a rush when it finally works!  Grin
65  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: 'No Patch' Play - How do you feel about this? on: 2006 June 16, 13:38:07
BTW, what distro(s) do you run on your Linux boxes?
Well, "distro" implies it's distributed, which isn't entirely accurate, but I run Black Hat Linux.

Strangely appropriate name....Cheesy
But you're right, that is not a distro, that is just software and information about how to protect yourself.
Unless you build your own Linux version?
66  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: 'No Patch' Play - How do you feel about this? on: 2006 June 16, 12:56:49
Couldn't agree more, JM!

"Okay, I guess we have a go ahead from QA."
68  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Anyone know what this means? News item on Thesims2.com today on: 2006 June 16, 11:48:02
Who cares about the news of new EP's, THIS is what got me puzzled:

In other news, we've been bumping into a lot of community members here in the Sims studio. Famed sims creator, HappyMoonBelly, joined us as a full-time employee in the video capture department and is now known as MaxoidMoonBelly. There are three new QA testers from the community.

Now, I knew about HappyMoonBelly, but who are the three new QA testers from the community?

Anyone know?
69  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: My glitch, SimPE glitch, or game glitch? Default skins acting wonky. on: 2006 June 13, 09:56:59
Don't use the built-in default maker, it is a lot better to open an existing default skin package in Bodyshop, create a project from the skintone, go to plugin view, right-click on the image, choose Build DXT and select the corresponding image that you exported from Bodyshop. There is a tutorial on MTS2.
70  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Linux? on: 2006 June 13, 09:19:37
I am running Ubuntu Breezy on the hubby's puter. No Linux on mine as there is so far no way of running Sims 2 on Linux, although you can install it using VMWare, it just doesn't run very well because of the DirectX issues.

73  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Lifetime Wants Based on Personality on: 2006 April 24, 11:46:19
I find the association of jobs with interests to be helpful: I try to assign sims to the jobs they thus want as a result, and thus when I have sims talking to them, I know what to pick as a topic and know they'll talk about.

I much prefer my sims to be unpredictable. To me, it adds some challenge that way. But I was wondering, I hate to go downtown just to purchase the required magazines for interest generation. Could the interest magazines be incorporated into a buyable bookcase instead?
74  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: 10 children want & alien babies on: 2006 April 24, 10:51:11
Adoption definitely works for the 10 kids wants. I haven't heard that the last kid has to be born before, don't remember what I did last time I fulfilled that want.
75  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Where can I find decent beds? on: 2006 April 23, 21:54:33
Mangosims have several teen rooms that are very authentic looking: http://mangosims2.free.fr/meubles.htm
For kids there is always SimSquirts: http://www.simsquirts.com/simsquirts.htm
