I am happy you saved some $  Smiley

The cd-wow website does that from time to time, change the price for no apparent reason, but next time you go in the way I said it will be the low price again... Huh

This time I will reset the game. I have too many neighborhoods with too many character files and I am mostly sick of them anyway.

I am also trying to weed through my download folder. Does anyone have a good way to find out which hairfiles you want to get rid of? I don't understand the preview images Clean Pack installer uses, I just can't tell what the hair is supposed to look like from those. And Bodyshop is too annoying to use.
253  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Cheap place to buy Sim EP's on: 2005 September 14, 08:23:09
I bought Nightlife from CD-Wow for £12.99 (don't know how many dollars that is).
If you go directly to their site, it is 1 to 2 pounds more expensive for some reason...

Here's how: Go to www.kelkoo.co.uk, search for sims 2 nightlife. Click on the link to cd-wow. The price is suddenly 12.99.
Nice but weird. I bought uni the same way and yes, the price was 12.99 for that too.

Oh, and shipping is included to anywhere in the world.

Something interesting I discovered yesterday (my first day of college). On the course I'm on (National Diploma for IT Practicioners - ICT Systems Support) of the 28 students, I was the only female. Even all the tutors are male. In this age of equality, I wonder why more women don't want to do computer networking? Is it just because I'm a geek?

Well, if you're a geek then I am too. I got my BA in computer science and then promptly got stuck doing helpdesk because everyone else have Master's degrees.  Tongue
At least I get to do some Unix support too, not just regular WinXP. We are about 50% women here though, but I am the only one so far on Unix.

Only thing I heard was that according to MTS2 MaxoidTom had confirmed that JM's amnesiafix is incompatible with NL.

Kind of cool that the Maxoids are beta-testing for him.  Grin

I think Lyran has started making Contacts too (they go under Sunglasses) which you just put on your sim in-game.

Make sure you go through your downloads folder with the HackScanner from DJSims.
Custom careers have a tendency to mess things up...

Very cool.  Cool

Did she have the baby at least?

And are you going to set her to elder after she has it?

My favorite is "The diary of a mad mobile homemaker."
VERY original and funny!

Link?  Where is this story?

Sure enough, I took out the SmartServe hack and everything is back to normal...
I'll have to pop over and tell twojeffs about this in case he is not aware.
262  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: "Instant Meal" bug? on: 2005 August 31, 14:00:10
Thx! Smiley  Will try that after finishing the communal cleaning chore tonight.
Ah...the joys of living in a socialist country!
263  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: "Instant Meal" bug? on: 2005 August 31, 13:48:20
Er....Maxis. The Craftsman.
But I do have the same problem in houses that I built too.
264  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Birthing in the Bathroom on: 2005 August 31, 13:33:24
This reminds me of an interesting occurrence I had once. I had a sim go into labour while she was showering, so then she rushed out and gave birth, naked. I guess she knew that giving birth while fully clothed is a bad idea, even if you're wearing a skirt and sans underwear. After all, most sims only have one set of clothes to begin with, imagine if the clothes gets ruined.

Grin Especially since they don't have washers and driers!
265  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: "Instant Meal" bug? on: 2005 August 31, 13:31:32
No, I want to try the hack first. If that doesn't work I will move them out then in again.
They just moved into the house anyway, and it was like that very quickly after. (New lot, noone had lived there before them).
266  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: "Instant Meal" bug? on: 2005 August 31, 13:24:11
They don't even have any mobile phones although they keep wishing for them. Smiley
I strongly suspect that the hack is the culprit as I didn 't have this problem before the hack and now I have it in several families although I only thoroughly tested the one family in the previous post.

I had this problem last night too.
I had a Maxis fridge, no diagonal walls and both sims got it.
No counters needed cleaning.
I fixed whatever could be fixed with the lot debugger, nothing changed.
On the stove I can sometimes choose serve/have dinner but this disappears from the queue immediately.
Check food levels does not help at all.
I sold the fridge, bought another different one, problem solved for only a short time.

Now it is the same again. Cry

I have TwoJeff's hack and I will try tonight to take it out...
