That's what I thought. Good thing that most of the files are on my secondary hd. The plan, though, was to eventually just buy a new pc. Am going to have to borrow a hd temporarily from a friend, probably long enough to back up said files. Unfortunately the secondary hd is old-style & won't like being hooked up to a new-style compy. On the upside, I've really got no excuse not to buy a new pc now, well, aside from needing to recover financially from the crippling costs of tuition.

Well, what happens is I turn it on, it loads to the ms yay ms splash bit, then the primary hd goes 'tick tick tick tick' then, boom, it reboots. rinse, repeat.
Threatening to turn the compy into contemporary sculpture didn't work. It's the threat I used to use to keep my cd player in line. Granted, said cd-player was frequently witness to the demise of other appliances, which cannot be said of the compy so it has no way of knowing if I mean to carry out the threat or not.
*ETA that I'm on the lappy thus typos, annoyances, etc.

I'm going to cry. My simming computer completely crapped itself this morning. I only put M&G on last night & got to play around with it for 2 hours before I had to drag my sorry carcass off to bed. I was really lookiing forward to this month's HOF, but all our money is tied up in fees & expenses for my teacher training workshop later this month.
Still, simming doesn't pay the bills. Teaching bellydance will. I'm going to miss my pc...

Awesome. i've been looking for a winamp alternative. (ZOMG, bloatware anyone?)
I'll second EAC as the best thing since sliced ciabatta. Do not know how I'd live without that nifty little piece of software.

So much for my prediction that everyone would go Moroccan! Faizah, you can add anything you want as long as the original walls are untouched. You could add extra corridor space and have arches in between the two, or whatever, as long as the actual wall is still there. Floopy, that is really different and you've done some fancy-work with the levels to stop it being too blocky looking. It's a great lot. Thankyou. I have to admit I got a lot of advice from my husband during this part. (his idea for the particular way I did the contrast) And the skylights on the gallery garden were a bitch right up until I figured out how to do it. I've been showing the comments to my husband who also says thankyou.

The Sugarcube Gallery is currently holding three exhibitions in it's three gallery spaces. In the Duggar Room is the Peter Brock Memorial Exhibit, replete with racing memorabilia and a few of the late racing star's favourite paintings on loan for this exhibition. This exhibit runs through until 23rd October. "Pop-Art - A Journey" is on display until 3rd May in the Garden Gallery, which can be reached either via the Hall of Reflection, or the Garden Cafeteria. Seating for the Garden Cafeteria can be located in Gallery 3, which is currently displaying the gallery's abstracts. Forums on the life and art of Andy Warhol are scheduled for 3pm and 7.30pm in the lecture theatre. We kindly ask that all partons kindly refrain from touching the artworks, and that children are under constant supervision in the Bamboo Garden. Please remember to get a receipt from the cloakroom, as abandoned personal items will sold to fund future exhibits. Getting around the gallery(changes due to recent renovations - thankyou for your kind support): Probably needs: UNI, NL, OFB, FFS, GLS, PETS, SEAS, CELEB, TSS, BV, K&B, FT, IKEA, AL.

My advice is either buy cheap or don't buy at all.
To be honest though the only reasons I buy them (at ridiculously cheap) are that I'm a collector by nature & I participate in the house of fail comps.
While nothing is as free as arr'ing, if you are uncomfortable with that, Amazon did just drop Apartment Life down to $14.99. Not so much unable or unwilling as completely useless at installing arred proggies that aren't pretty much point & click. That & the p2p proggies give me the willies. Am willing to provide blanks/replacement costs to anyone willing to ship me anything I don't have, however, I am the queen of bargain hunting & have recently purchased most for less than the price you quoted me. Plus I enjoy haggling. The listed price is rarely the price I pay for anything. *Edited to fix typos with brief interlude to beat the shit out of the lappy for being such a dick about this spelling & punctuation shit.

For Sale: Old World CharmerThis lavishly restored home was built in the late 1900s and much of the original fixtures remain. This heritage listed home has been renovated & decorated with the original design in mind. Featuring three lavish bedrooms, two indoor bathrooms, and front and back facing balconies, this home is sure to be a people pleaser. $99,411 ONO. I see ads like this in my local paper all the time. I live in a heritage-listed tourist town. (well, the tourist trap part of it is heritage listed along with every other house on the market around here). Sometimes the places are done up, sometimes they're not. Sometimes the only reason they aren't being bulldozed is because some C18th nob was born in said dump. This lot hasn't yet been playtested. I have Uni, NL, OFB, FFS, GLS, Pets, TSS, Celeb, Seas, BV, K&B, FT, AL. I think there are some giftmas packs in there as well, but they were loaners so I don't know what. This drove me nuts for ages.
There's a toggle ceilings on/off tool on the roundy thing to the left. Click it & the ceilings show up.
Ceilings automagically turn up if you use floors above the room you want to view.
Anything more techy than that & you'll have to ask someone else.
