51  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: New Pets Patch on: 2007 March 29, 19:55:59
Just to make sure I know what to do - Since I don't have Seasons, I should install all the Pets patches and I won't get into trouble?  I never installed patch 1 because of the bad press it got here.
52  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Mar MATY "More Awful Than You" CC Treasure Hunt: Hair! on: 2007 March 27, 23:08:02
Divino Sims went all out:
This one gets my vote.  Nothing else comes close!
53  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Mar MATY "More Awful Than You" CC Treasure Hunt: Hair! on: 2007 March 19, 00:44:00
That's Sorceress Edea from Final Fantasy VIII, so I guess it counts as bad anime hair?
I'm leaving out the original picture and the one from the post I'm quoting, but I *have* to know where to get this hair.  I love it - there must be something wrong with me.
54  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: A Question About Graphics on: 2007 March 07, 15:05:10
Definitely add it to the FAQ, it's classic.
55  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Possible to make sims use the high chair more/exclusively? on: 2007 March 05, 13:30:05
Or if the bottle spam is just annoying, get No Baby Harassment and use the Baby Controller to regulate with precision when the babies will be fed.
I do have those, but the mom won't stop getting bottles out of the fridge for her toddler.  I have all EPs through Pets, but not Seasons, and I always check the Director's Cut for updates (at least I hope I have).
56  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: too many professors... on: 2007 February 22, 15:59:46
It works for the aliens I keep on The Mothership lot in my neighborhoods, but they aren't NPCs.
Ooo!  Mothership lot!  Where do you get this?  I love alien stuff.
57  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: More hidden music in Pets on: 2007 February 22, 13:13:16
I noticed that the College Rock station is playing more tunes than before I installed FFS, GLS, Holiday and Pets (all of which I got for Christmas).  Does that have anything to do with these hidden music files?
58  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Repositioning Occupied Lots on: 2007 February 18, 10:10:31
Is it OK to move occupied lots around in the same sub-neighborhood? Huh  I wouldn't be moving them to the lot bin, I know that's bad.  Just picking them up and setting them down elsewhere.
59  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Harder Jobs ZOMGPETZ!!!111oneoneone Edition on: 2007 February 16, 15:54:16
I'd like specifics on which jobs are limited to 1, 2, or 3 sims.  It seems obvious that Mayor, Senator, Captain Hero, some others, could only have one but what about generals?  Plus townies might be assigned to one of the "unique" jobs.  I'd really like a list, or instructions on how to see into the program with SimPE.
60  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Unofficial Bank EP on: 2007 February 16, 13:25:43
I'm quite excited about the army downloads.  I already have a few army-themed lots and the recolors look like good additions to them.  Not to mention more army lots.  Cheesy

SpicySims....oh my gawd. You win. Easily.
Too right!  How do they even stay up?  Invisible suspenders?

Thanks for the walk down memory lane.  I loved KITH Grin.
63  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Houses. I need 'em build. And I suck at building. </3 on: 2007 February 06, 10:55:16
The Sim Poseium Forum has many nice houses and businesses, including several on 1x3 lots.

If you're just going to be playing each neighborhood for one or two simdays to check out the pre-made scenarios, maybe it's better not to use any hacks, although Pescado does have his grouped by EP, so you could install the appropriate ones, then move on to the next batch when you install the next EP.
65  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Owning a Business on: 2007 January 30, 10:35:57
I had a similar experience as blubug, with a playable-owned grocery store where I had assigned the unmanned owner to be the cashier (it has no emplyoees).  I thought he would just stand behind the cash register, but when my other sim went to buy gorceries, he was pacing back and forth.  Then after she filled her grocery basket (completely depleting one of the produce stands), he ran over and restocked it.  When she clicked on the register to pay, he ran over there and took her money, then went back to pacing.  I enjoyed those actions so much, I'm going to convert all my stores that I buy things in to playable-owned.

I did have a problem a few weeks ago on a playable-owned lot with a ticket stand (bandatron?).  I has assigned him to be a salesman but he just paced and didn't try to sell any tickets.
66  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Dedicated Buttocks Proposal on: 2007 January 12, 20:39:56
I'd certainly be willing to kick in $25 if it's a definite go, but I don't want to pour any money down a black hole.  Is there any way to set up a pledge drive, via a poll, or something?
67  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: faceless sims on: 2007 January 12, 16:30:29
cwykes, I followed your suggestion of "changing appearance" a second time, and that worked on Dee and Eee.  I didn't hang around to see if and when they changed back (they're at Uni and I am involved with the main neighborhood right now).  I've never made a vampire or werewolf or zombie, and I'm not ready to experiment right now.  I'll just keep my eye on them and see what happens when I breed 2 aliens.  This may take some time as I'm currently involved with your Green/Foster/military families.  Many thanks for those, although running an 8-sim house keeps you on your toes.  I may have to install TJ's ACR and see the havoc that ensues.
68  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Sedona OFB sub-hood - an default alternative to Bluewater on: 2007 January 10, 22:16:46
It's interesting that when CiCi Jones, who started as an alien teen, went to Uni, her face was perfectly OK, and I had no problems when she graduated and turned into an adult.  Also Aaa and BiBi aged to elder last weekend and they were OK.  In the meantime, at Uni, I put Dee in the white facepaint and Eee in the green camo facepaint.  I tell myself that their disappearing heads are just a problem that some aliens have in Simland and they are doing their best to cope with their environment.  Sort of like Superman with a yellow sun.  I am sort of glad to hear that it's not just me - misery loves company.
69  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pie menus on: 2007 January 10, 17:12:01
OY!!  Gwill, what happened to your avatar?  Is she giving birth?
70  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Sedona OFB sub-hood - an default alternative to Bluewater on: 2007 January 09, 20:05:12
The disappearing head thing happened when they changed from child to teen - actually the morning after they changed.  Right after the grow-up change they were fine.   And their thumbnail had the initial complete alien head.  When I sent them to Uni, even the thumbnail had no face, just hair sitting on nothing.  I'll try changing the DNA the next time I get a chance to play.  I haven't tried breeding any of the alien townies, although I've paired some up.
71  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Sedona OFB sub-hood - an default alternative to Bluewater on: 2007 January 09, 00:38:07
Thanks for this shopping district, cwykes.  I added it to Strangetown to do the Apocalypse challenge.  I just love all the aliens, plus all the different reasonably-priced businesses.

The only problem I've had is that when Dee and Eee Jones became teens, their faces disappeared.  I hoped they'd take on adult alien faces if I moved them to Uni, but no luck.  I had to give them face paint because hair sitting on top of nothing was creeping me out.  When I went into Change Appearance to add the makeup, the default faces were not green.  Is there any way to get back alien characteristics for their faces in SimPE or something else?
72  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: things are so much harder after OFB! on: 2007 January 04, 18:40:33
2) College->Rampage is your friend.  When they stop Rampaging and the option isn't available anymore, you know the bar is actually full and you can send them to finals.
Actually the bar doesn't have to be completely full.  I send my sims to their finals when there's still a little bit left empty and they still get the highest grade.
73  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: punk free zone on: 2006 December 02, 00:30:50
That sounds neat, Gwill.  Do you remember where it came from (the butler outfit)?
I made it.  I'm using the smoking mesh from the Glamour Pack and custom textures.
Thanks so much!  I assume I just install the files in Downloads.

Check out ThyGuy's self-sim at

Looks pretty rugged to me.  Maybe some other self-sims are in the masculine/not-pretty range.
