27  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Blue Border UI Modification on: 2005 December 22, 20:38:37
Could you make it slightly bigger?  Like a blue triangle in the corner or something?
I like the idea, but it's just too tiny.  I need to be able to see that it's there.

Something like this:

Sure. I've added it to the top post.

Oh. Low dancing?

All right. Thank you.

30  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Blue Border UI Modification - NOW IN TWO SEXY FLAVORS! on: 2005 December 20, 20:06:02

(I also posted this at MTS2)

I really just did this for myself because frankly, I think the blue borders on Influence Wants make the UI look like crap. Also, the blue borders cover up most of the icons on the Wants, and I like looking at the icons. They make me feel giggly.

Attached is a mod that will make the blue borders become a little blue square in the top left hand corner of the Influence Want. This way, you can still see which Wants award you Influence Points. This first image is what your UI looks like without this mod, and the second is what it will look like afterward. The file attached is the mod itself. Enjoy!

31  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Different Dancing on: 2005 December 20, 19:32:54
Sorry if this has been asked before, but how do you get your Sims to do the dancing animation that was introduced in Nightlife? Not the Smustle, but the other one that is used with the "Dance" command on stereos (they point their fingers in the air and fall down sometimes...). I've seen my Sims do it randomly sometimes, but I was wondering if it had to do with Dancing skill or whatever. Any help?

Dammit. There says there's an error through patch installation.

I didn't see it listed on the Uni patch change list.
35  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Submit Issues about Nightlife on: 2005 October 06, 02:28:42
Oh i have a bug, i have a bug. can anyone confirm it for me?

It's about wohooing in hot tubs with the cinematics turned on.

in order to woohoo in the hot tub, you have to make the 2 sims cuddle first, right?
So, when i click woohoo, the cinematic starts normally, however when it goes back to live mode, the 2 sims are each in a corner of the hot tub, but just for like 1 second, and then they will quickly "slide" toward each other to go into cuddling position again.

It is like the game forgot they were supposed to be in that position, but then suddenly remembered. And it happens everytime 2 sims woohoo in a hot tub, however it only happens if the cinematic plays. if it is the regular animation and no cinematics, they will be just fine.

Can anyone test this and see if this is really a bug that deservs to be submited?

I can confirm this as well. This has happened since the base game, but I haven't really thought anything of it, either.
36  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pescado, you may be very interested in this. on: 2005 September 29, 21:05:04
This is happens in my game too, even when nobody is Furious at the baby. I'm not using any hacks at the moment either. Rather strange.
37  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Former Townies Being Randomly Bitten on: 2005 September 29, 05:21:24
According to the Prima Guide, the Grand Vampires will infect 10% of your Sim population. Always.
38  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Nightlife made Homecrafter go 'splodie - and it did a number on BodyShop, too! on: 2005 September 28, 15:08:08
Haven't tried using Homecrafter yet, but BodyShop doesn't work for me either after I got Nightlife. It crashes during the loading screen. Quite annoying.
39  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The "Shock" of it all! on: 2005 September 27, 15:12:05
This is something I've always wanted to see in my game. All my Sims are retarded and don't know what's going on. If little Bobby catches Mommy and Bubba having an affair, he just starts playing an extremely long animation, and thinks nothing of it. Older Sims, when they witness an affair, they don't even gossip about it. I imagine what's rolling through their minds...

"Hmmmm...steamy affair or burnt pancakes...?"

Now it seems EVERYBODY knows what happened in the Baker Family's kitchen that morning, but NOBODY knows what happened in the Mannhor Family's hottub that evening.

Ancient Sim, I have that problem as well, and it gives all their relatives a memory too. I had one grandmother receive almost two pages of Graduation memories.

Another extremely annoying thing is the fact some memories are not being recorded. I had two furious Sims fight, and they became Enemies. Yet, the winner had no memory of ever becoming Enemies, but the loser did. (I'm sure this has been posted about before).
43  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: So what's been fixed in NL on: 2005 September 22, 00:54:35
Alright, well, before I turned on testingCheatsEnabled true, I noticed in both adult's queues, they had abvout five things, all with the "Love Potion #8.5"'s icon in them. The man autonmously drank the love potion, and then went to ask his wife, Gina, about her turn-ons/offs. Anyway, I turned the cheat on, and then looked in that log file. (Right?)

I'm not sure what to look for, actually, but I found a bit at the end about the woman, Gina:

44  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / DJ Booth Music on: 2005 September 21, 15:12:05
Does anybody know where these package files are located? I couldn't find them anywhere. I'm looking for the songs that play on the DJ Booth (the "Fast", "Medium", and "Slow" songs).
45  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: So what's been fixed in NL on: 2005 September 21, 04:35:46
MaxoidTom, I have a serious problem with Nightlife. Ya see, there's this one lot, and everytime I load it up, everything is normal. After a few seconds, however, the two adult Sims disappear from the Sim Selection menu, along with their characters themselves. They are still alive, just removed from play. The Toddler, however, stays. If I save, and load it back up, they respawn in front of the house, only to disappear again.

Before that house, I had another Sim go downtown with the adult male of that family. His wife was there as well, and when the date ended, I had my Sim go home. I was suspecting the game thought those two Sims were still at that community lot (?). I dunno. Any ideas?
46  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Horrible camera angle while on downtown lots on: 2005 September 20, 22:55:55
You can adjust the camera angle by holding down CTRL and the left mouse button, and then moving your mouse. If you have a wheel on your mouse, and can hold that down and move it that way as well.

48  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: So what's been fixed in NL on: 2005 September 16, 15:12:11
Hey, HatedMaxoid (or anyone else), I have this Nightlife problem...

You see, in my Sims' Memrories, all of the icons are stretched. They look pixelly and a bit blurry. It's the same for some of the Career Wants/Fears, and also for the example Wants in CAS when picking an Aspiration.
49  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Apologizing interaction working backwards on: 2005 August 21, 06:23:38
It seems that the "Apologize" option in Sims 2 is not working correctly. If I recall, back in an E3 video, they demonstrated how Sim A cheats on Sim B, so Sim A apologizes to Sim B. However...

Mortimer finds Dina cheating on him with Don, so now Mortimer hates Dina. But, Mortimer is the only one who can apologize. This makes no sense at all, especially since he did nothing wrong. Is there a fix for this? Forgive me if there already is, but if there isn't, then could you make it so that if Sim A is hated by another Sim, Sim A can apologize to Sim B? This way, the cheater (Dina) can apologize to the cheated-on (Mortimer), because Dina won't lose relationship points after the affair, and if she does, it will be from the slap afterwards, but she still cannot apologize.

ALSO, it seems this whole Gossiping thing isn't very well made. Is it possible for certain key memories to be gossiped about? Like, giving each gossipable memory a certain level of importance? This way, Alexander can tell Cassandra about the affair he witnessed between Don and Dina, instead of telling her each time that Mary-Sue burnt some pancakes.
