In'nat cute, it thinks possums can read at all.
I wouldn't have believed it myself, but the evidence is there, right down to having one interacting with this very thread. Granted, it has zero comprehension skills and its communications are rudimentary at best, but I guess even marsupials have to start somewhere. Also, there is only one creature in this thread that doesn't know how to fix AM to work beyond its expiration date. This hint will be difficult, but I'm sure it will be deciphered in time; it's not the FOJ, jezzer, merlin, or me. Note: Escaped 'Dome residents are not capable of enough thought to qualify as living creatures, so they are not acknowledged.

Therein lies the problem, most of the arseholes, like Eurotrash, simply aren't smart enough to figure those things out, even though it isn't that complicated.
While that is true, retreading old ground would be fruitless at this point. It was 'Domed, so the depths of its stupidity are already roundly known. Also, isn't that so cute? It thinks it's Lazarus. I didn't know possums read the bible.

We don't take kindly to possums around here. Can't you just be dead for real?
Also, AM versions don't self destruct, they are perfectly usable for as long as you like. You just have to be smart enough to... well, I don't want to spoil the fun of finding out for yourself.
Caveat: Using an old version of AM can be bad for your health, and is not recommended.

Basically, I can place a dragon egg but when the timer runs out for it to hatch, it just stays at 0 and never hatches. I did download the file from this site and not Sims 3 store if that makes a difference.
Damnit, I had something for this! Oh, wait, I know: Guess what, I've got this thing called a life, its outside the PC, you nerds might want to try it sometime. Go outside (yes, you will get bullied, shit thrown at you, kicked about, your dinner money taken from you and your comics burnt) but maybe, you might just get a valuable life lesson on LIFE, not just simulating life on a PC game.
Did you lose your life? I would offer to help you find it, except that I don't believe it existed in the first place.

TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: I've Hit a Wall (Installing on Windows 7)

Oh hai guys. I totally have this problem with TS2. I Googled what to do, but instead of doing what I was told to do, I figured I'd come here and start a new thread. Unfortunately, someone beat me to it.
Also, there is a LOT of useless information in your post. Seriously, just tell us what you actually did to fix the problem, leave out all the extra bullshit, and maybe we can tell you what you didn't do.
As far as the problem goes, I recall this happened to me when I upgraded to Windoze 7. Have you tried putting in the TS2 disks to see if it will default to installation, even though you already installed it? If that doesn't work, I think you have to edit something, maybe the registry, though I don't recall, to remove the TS2 uninstaller from your program list. Again, my recollection is foggy, but I do recall that as long as the TS2 programs were stuck in my programs list, I could neither uninstall nor reinstall the games.
ETA: Actually, it occurs to me that this could be a complete PEBCAK. When you try to uninstall a TS2 expansion, it gives a warning that doing so could bork your saves. Is this the warning that you got? If not, what is the EXACT warning that you get when trying to uninstall the base game?

I typed showconfig command into game and get nothing. The game is just not detecting the mod whatsoever.
There is an obvious PEBCAK here, but I can't quite place my finger on i- no, wait, there it is. .wohemos krowemarf ruoy pu dewercs ouY:TNIH So there is no need for such rudeness from you WRONG. There is one cure for this error, and KT knows EXACTLY what it is.

The beta AwesomeMod site seems to be down and the Updater is just stuck in an endless loop of trying to access it, failing, and retrying again.
Is there a way to have it bypass that particular check?
Do you actually need to update AM, or are you just using the updater to launch the game?

I read many times that there was a command to enter that would tell you if it was working or not. Every time I tried it didn't show up.
What command is that? How do we know you are not doing it wrong if you don't tell us? What happens when you input said command? I read over 20 threads and tried everything I could find and nothing worked. I thought maybe my issue was something newer or some issue with my system, etc. Didn't think it would hurt to try. Isn't it easier to ignore it than to bother with the baby talk? And you didn't see any of these "baby talk" responses in those threads? Which ones did you read? Also, I find your post to be much more emblematic of baby talk than any of the light sporkings that have been sent your way. If anything, the response to yet another one of these threads is incredibly mild. Ignoring this type of post simply invites more of its kind, and that would be unacceptable. I guess I didn't realize that my actual question was the same as people that don't bother to type anything out and don't bother to look in the obvious places. Wait, what? Didn't you just accuse us of baby talk? My six year old nephew can write more coherent sentences than that. Okay, I made a mistake and misjudged the way this forum worked. This could have been avoided if you read the "READ THIS BEFORE POSTING" sticky. Oh well, what's done is done. You can stop now. Not while you're still here posting. That would be rude to everyone else.

Yeah, I know how y'all are.
If you know how we are, then why did you post this? Sure... now that I know that's what I'm looking for. Silly me, I was searching and skimming for the name of what I wanted. Is it really that big of a deal to ask where to find something in a WCIF? I thought this was the proper place for lame requests.
For the record, the question is rhetorical. We all know it's because you're stupid.

so one rule for one, another rule for another, whatever By jove, you've got it! See, you've proven yourself to be a lazy, moronic tard, and we don't like tards of any stripe here. Their posts tend to end up in the 'Dome. Quite shocking, no? Now, be a good tard and FOAD. The soup should be delicious if prepared correctly.

You found what you were looking for, and got a mild sporking to go with it. Welcome to MATY, you're clearly new he- oh, WAIT! You've been here since 2008? Hmm, I guess I'd better update my list of known tards.

Rubyelf, did you try doing a general resetsim* with just AM installed, and then a check to see if the problem persisted? If memory serves, removing AM causes the 'hood to reset when you load it, so that could be what is fixing the problem when you remove AM. When I use the "addtrait" cheat on my teenager sim, I get a message saying "Boo! [simname] already has 4 out of 4 traits allowed." and it fails to add a 5th trait. I thought it could be something wrong with my tunning so I decided to try on my cat, wrote down "addtrait Hunter" and the trait was successfully added. When I tried to add a trait to my sim again, it displayed the same message. Any idea why the <addtrait> suddenly decided to work on pets only?
I am going to assume that you have disabled the trait cap before posting, because I am hoping, since you posted in the right place, that you are not completely stupid. With that said, have you tested on an adult to verify that it does not work on any sims?

There's a mod at MTS that removes the scales from mermaids in human form and makes them much less stupid.
Awesome, now if we could only find one for you... The tard is strong with this one. It is an 18, so a certain level of stupid is to be expected. Just look at the moronic avatard.

Teenager can equal 13-19, you realize this right?.
You realize that ages are only recognized in 6's at MATY, right? That means all teens are 12's. This is backed by the in game modeling. Unfortunately, I can't enable paedo-flames couplings.

And here I was thinking it was the entire post. Hey, you're the one with the badge. Don't expect me to do your job for you, as I have other AIDE-ly business to not be tending to.
