1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2013 February 25, 19:42:29
I'm trying to install Aurora Skies and Monte Vista that I downloaded here and the launcher says I need to update my game. I'm updated to the latest patch and I have installed the latest store content patch. Searching did not come up with an answer. Is there something I'm overlooking?
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Disappearing Cars on: 2011 March 08, 16:07:31
I searched and only found one relevant post from June 2009. My sims cars keep disappearing. They drive somewhere and come home with out the car and it is no where to be found. Also, after installing OL, all my sims that didn't have cars now have the 'big lemon' or whatever it's called. Does anyone else have this problem.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2010 December 26, 21:07:43
A search at MTS did not turn up anything related to dishes and I wouldn't have the faintest idea how to modify a mod.

ETA: I finally found one by putting in 'never wash dishes.' One would think that the word 'dishes' would have brought up something related to dishes.  Huh However, it has not been updated since 11/09 and several commented that it didn't work.   Roll Eyes

I've searched all the places I know and can't find what I'm looking for. Does anyone know of a 'no-autonomous dishwashing' mod? I'm tired of my sims gathering at and blocking the sink or dishwasher all the time. I'd like to designate one sim to clean up all dishes. Thanks.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 November 11, 23:07:41
Not sure if anyone else has had this problem,,

I have 2 sims in my house, one of them works just fine, everything's normal.. but the other can't go downstairs. She will walk downstairs but be invisible, and unable to do anything. Once i set her to go back upstairs, she magically reappears through the floor and heads there.

I don't know why this is happening to one sim and not the other.  Ive tried reloading, resetting, i even evicted her and moved her back in, but she still can't go downstairs. I'm stumped. :/

I've had a similar problem when I've used 'moveobjects on' to move a sim out of the way. They do weird stuff for awhile, like go upstairs but you can see them up there (taking a bath or sleeping sans fixtures) then tell them to go downstairs and they appear downstairs without using the stairs or walk down invisible stairs in the middle of a room. I had to use 'resetsim' 2 or 3 times before they finally acted normal again.

I haven't encountered any bugs yet but I play a different type game than most simmers - more family oriented. I found one thing that really annoys me - kids can't play the keyboard or piano - haven't checked out the other musical items but I'm pretty sure they can't play them either. My kid has a virtuoso trait and I was happy there would finally be something for them to do. Not happy!  Angry

Since this latest patch and the addition of FL, I've had to split my mods folder. All CC (clothes, decor, etc) are in the C:/programs/ea/sims3/mods/packages and all the mods have to be in the my documents/ea/sims3/mods/packages. For some reason the mods will not work in the programs folder anymore.

I get one that says "missing mini-partner." I had never seen that until recently but I never used fixall much either.  Huh
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Toddler Separates - Can It Be Done? on: 2010 June 17, 02:44:22
Sorry, I didn't notice this was a TS2 thread.   Embarrassed  I'm in TS3 mode. There is no changing table and there are toddler separates in TS3.
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Toddler Separates - Can It Be Done? on: 2010 June 17, 01:21:37
What changing table?  Don't toddlers already have separates?
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 16, 22:50:57
So, it's an AMB problem. I thought I just didn't know what I was doing!  Roll Eyes Which is also a possibility but at least I'm not the only one.

Firefighter career - Fire station alarms are on constantly and there is no fire anywhere. Just started with latest build - 6-14-10-20:19:38.
13  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 4.0.87 (AMB) TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 15, 04:11:23
I restarted the game and sent a kid to school and he was able to go in. I sure hope that fixed it but it was too easy.  Huh
14  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 4.0.87 (AMB) TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 15, 03:51:14
I have the same issue with school. Kids go to school, but remain outside, any attempt to enter the door fails, as does trying to attend a painting class. My school lot is currently set to "No Visitors allowed", where as most rabbit holes do not have a community lot type, that is the only difference I . I also tried replacing the school building and changing the lot type to something else such as "Visitors allowed", without luck.

I'm wondering if there is there a way to reset lot type, as School or rabbit hole isn't available in the drop-down.

I was having the same issue. I moved the school building back a little (very little) then saved to library. I then bulldozed the original school. The lot seemed to be set to no visitors so I changed that, replaced the building and my sim was able to attend painting class. I wanted to test it with a kid going to school but I found I could no longer change households so closed the game and will restart and test with a kid.

15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Strange names on: 2010 June 12, 13:45:14
I like 'Molly Coddle.'  This naming thing happened before Ambitions but I do have Twallan's story progression. However, I have the names set to 'husband' (Besides being old, I'm old fashioned!) And, I wouldn't mind a few hyphenated names but I don't like 'it' using my custom names on all the new sims.
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 12, 04:27:56
You need to have one point of skill in the profession in question... ie one point of gardening to become a gardener. You might also need to wait for daylight hours, if the city hall is closed, but I'm not sure on that point. Otherwise, no, not much of a trick to it.

Ahh, so that's the trick. I didn't think of skill points. I was going for a stay-at-home mom and thought she wouldn't get all the wants for a career if she were registered as self-employed. Oh, well.
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Strange names on: 2010 June 12, 04:25:10
Yeah, I wouldn't mind a couple of hyphenated names but not all and using some of my uncommon names, like Oosterhouse-Finnegan, or Lyons-Wentworth.  Roll Eyes
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 12, 03:08:42
I don't have the option to become self-employed. Is there some trick to it or is it borked?
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Strange names on: 2010 June 12, 03:06:17
Lately my game has been doing a strange naming thing. It takes two of the names from my custom sims and hyphenates them, then gives them to game generated sims. It's very annoying. Nearly every new sim has a hyphenated name. Has anyone else had this happen? This was happening pre AMB and I don't have WA. I turned off the "use awesome naming rules" to see if that would help but it didn't.
20  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 1.2.7/2.7.7/3.3.11 TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 12, 01:33:40
FYI:  If I don't have AM in my game, the school is a school and Sims can become teachers.

Rho, Without AM, can your kids actually go to school? Mine will go to the school but can't get in.  And, how can sims become teachers? I didn't know that was an option. Is it connected with WA?
21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Lost Sim on: 2010 February 14, 14:38:08
I knew when I did it that it wasn't a good idea but I was tired, impatient and annoyed. I've been to that household and she wasn't there. This actually happened a couple of days ago. She was a teen. I've had them disappear before but always was able to retrieve them with the super computer. I thought the "chat long distance" was strange as I'd never seen it before.
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Lost Sim on: 2010 February 14, 05:26:25
Is there any way to retrieve a missing sim? I got annoyed with a sim who was visiting a household and wouldn't leave no matter how many people and how many times she was told to leave so I finally deleted her.  Roll Eyes  I wouldn't have minded her being deleted but she still shows up in the family tree and on everyone's relationship panel. You can "chat long distance" with her but can't invite her over. I'd never seen that "chat long distance" before. I don't have WA or HELS. I've tried the super computer's 'missing sim' option and the 'reset lot' but nothing works. Any ideas?
23  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2010 January 30, 00:06:23
I had lagging so bad that I was ready to give up the game all together. I downloaded Delphy's Dashboard tool at MTS2 and it found several bad CC files, mostly paintings. Once those were eliminated I had no more lag.

Check it out here
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Baby wrappings on: 2010 January 25, 01:15:29
I may be late to the party but I just discovered you can change the color of the baby's blanket in CAS if you have AM and you use the 'editsim' cheat and choose clothing. Nothing shows up but I picked the 'everyday' category then used the style palette and changed the color. It's handy because I have twin girls and can now tell them apart.  Grin
25  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesome Mod Lag on: 2010 January 10, 20:13:36
Last week I was having trouble getting sims to move into town. All of a sudden, everyone wanted to move in. Now, I have over 100 residents and major lag! What is the safest/best way to get rid of excess population short of homicide?  Tongue  Is there a safe way to delete them or get them to leave town? In the past, I have evicted them then chose a new household to play which deletes them from the clipboard but I worry about leaving excess files hidden somewhere that may cause problems later on.
