TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Bug? Bulldoze or Place Copy removes Beautiful Vista

I moved a sim into the empty lot across from the beach and he had the Beautiful Vista moodlet even though the lot was empty. That was when I realized that moving houses wasn't such a good idea. I had used that lot before but had moved a sim & house to it and they never got the Beautiful Vista moodlet and at the time, I didn't realize they should have.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 - Anyone see a child skill building hack?

The child-oven is in TS3, and I think they do gain cooking from it.
yes, they can. I use the child age for them to work on the skills they can work on, like fishing, painting, logic, cooking ...can't remember about writing. There is a farmer book that I think helps them start their gardening skill. heh, children can actually learn quite a bit even though there is a cap on how much they can learn some skills.

My information comes from someone who got her copy on Saturday. After installing she ran the game from the launcher and the disk and then checked for suckrot (more then once to be sure), it was not to be found. She then installed the stupid download manager and checked again for suckrot and again suckrot was not on her computer. She is one of the people who had massive problems due to suckrot before and has removed it from a dozen computers, so I will take her word for it.

TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Clean and fixed Uber-Megahood! FINISHED!

Thanks Sleepycat! Yes, I noticed she had a fear of the dead husband cheating in every single incarnation of Bluewater I had. Senile old bag And woow, that looks like a huge job and very useful! I never got far with playing the megahoods either, so I might help myself with some families if I fail at playing again! your welcome yes, it was a huge job but I felt it was worth it, specially since I'd be sharing them with others. My versions that I gave plastic surgery to are being enjoyed more then the originals. I tried playing HP's Megahood but couldn't stand the fugly! I thought it'd be really nice to be able to have the pre-mades I liked, in any hood I wanted. Which led to me finally doing something about it. I packaged and cleaned every single pre-made family from all the Maxis/EAxis hoods. You are insane. I'm so jealous! LOL

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I Can Has Ceiling Tiles?

The ceilings are a part of the floor tiles. If there are no floor tiles above the room you're wanting a ceiling in, you can't haz ceiling tiles. yes, you can. Just go up to the roof level and put floor tiles in 'under the roof'

With empty templates and a good set of default face replacements, why would anyone need to create NPC's themselves? (unless they were doing a theme hood or something) The game is quite capable at creating them as needed and with a good set of default face replacements they aren't fugly. If townies are actually wanted, it's easy enough to turn playables into townies/downtownies/social townies or shift-click on the mailbox for the option to have the game force create a batch of 30 townies.

So you've cleaned up all their memories etc? 'Cos you know importing sims from another's game is a VBT don't you?
ya, I've known that for a very long time now. I used "extracted in SimPE & then cloned in Bodyshop" clean files. edit - and I packaged them as soon as I moved them onto a lot.

Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: FFS "Batbox" Lot Debugger v2.0: NUCLEAR WAR EDITION

Update and extra info - nuking all the attraction markers for every sim in the household made no difference, and this time I found all the sims frozen in place as well. The menus look right, apart from the two affected sims, but nobody does anything at all. This is in a game with no CC apart from the batbox. Perhaps I should take this to a different thread now, it looks like more than just tthe attraction markers?
the attraction marker problem your having is probably caused by how you aged them, read this --> http://www.simbology.com/smf/index.php/topic,1352.0.html

Vaguely related question... Has anyone else had problems with their sims not aging? It started when I installed apartment life, and have not installed any hacks for quite some time. I googled "Apartment Life Patch" and this was basicaly the best thing that came up (surprise surprise!) Also, thank you for being on the ball with cleaning up after Maxis! Much appreciated.
Did you update your hacks for AL?

TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Empty and Cleaned-up Templates. [UPDATED]

empty templates don't affect already created hoods, like Belladonna Cove (minus certain empty templates like Pets since BDC was created without Pets). To have an cleaned up Belladonna Cove, you need a cleaned up template for E001.
I rid my hoods of the social townies and bin families by backing up E002 and then deleting the neighborhood package file and all the characters. I then put in pre-AL copies of my hoods. The game can't add what it doesn't see.

no, the link is broke It points to a creature.zip not creaturefixes.zip and you get a "404 - Not Found" error I grabbed it from the directory a while ago but some silly people might still be waiting for your broken link to work *laughs*
