26  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Bug? Bulldoze or Place Copy removes Beautiful Vista on: 2009 June 27, 21:59:04

I moved a sim into the empty lot across from the beach and he had the Beautiful Vista moodlet even though the lot was empty. That was when I realized that moving houses wasn't such a good idea. I had used that lot before but had moved a sim & house to it and they never got the Beautiful Vista moodlet and at the time, I didn't realize they should have.  Tongue

27  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 - Anyone see a child skill building hack? on: 2009 June 26, 22:36:00
The child-oven is in TS3, and I think they do gain cooking from it.

yes, they can.

I use the child age for them to work on the skills they can work on, like fishing, painting, logic, cooking ...can't remember about writing. There is a farmer book that I think helps them start their gardening skill.   heh, children can actually learn quite a bit even though there is a cap on how much they can learn some skills.

30  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Where do dead babies/toddlers go? on: 2009 June 12, 13:33:02
heh, I set a guy to teaching his son to walk, out in their front yard. I then saved & switched active-house to the women across the street (to give some stuff to her kids) and looked across the street in time to see the guy finish teaching his son to walk.  Grin
31  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is SecuRom on the Sims3 hard copy? on: 2009 June 02, 06:37:59
My information comes from someone who got her copy on Saturday. After installing she ran the game from the launcher and the disk and then checked for suckrot (more then once to be sure), it was not to be found. She then installed the stupid download manager and checked again for suckrot and again suckrot was not on her computer. She is one of the people who had massive problems due to suckrot before and has removed it from a dozen computers, so I will take her word for it.

32  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is SecuRom on the Sims3 hard copy? on: 2009 June 02, 06:11:52
neither the disk version or the stupid download manager have suckrot.

34  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Clean and fixed Uber-Megahood! FINISHED! on: 2009 April 14, 00:58:59
Thanks Sleepycat! Yes, I noticed she had a fear of the dead husband cheating in every single incarnation of Bluewater I had. Senile old bag Cheesy

And woow, that looks like a huge job and very useful! I never got far with playing the megahoods either, so I might help myself with some families if I fail at playing again!

your welcome  Smiley

yes, it was a huge job but I felt it was worth it, specially since I'd be sharing them with others. Grin  My versions that I gave plastic surgery to are being enjoyed more then the originals. Wink

I tried playing HP's Megahood but couldn't stand the fugly!  I thought it'd be really nice to be able to have the pre-mades I liked, in any hood I wanted. Which led to me finally doing something about it.

I packaged and cleaned every single pre-made family from all the Maxis/EAxis hoods.
You are insane.  I'm so jealous!

35  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Clean and fixed Uber-Megahood! FINISHED! on: 2009 April 13, 22:17:30
2. Denise Jacquet threw a bunch of atraction related errors. Fix > Dead Romances with Lot Debugger solves the problem.

that is caused by her not knowing her husband is dead. In the normal Bluewater, if you teleport her dead husband to the Lot so you get the 'so and so died on another lot' message, it'll fix the problem. If I remember correctly, Denise and her son will also then get the memory of him dying.

---

For those people that love the idea of playing a Uber-Megahood but want to pick and choose what pre-mades are in it (a Mini-Megahood lol) - I packaged and cleaned every single pre-made family from all the Maxis/EAxis hoods.
http://www.the-isz.com/theisz/index.php?showtopic=1472

My friend Trif did all the 'extra pre-made bin families' and also teenified all the pre-made Uni students (handy if you want them but use clean Uni templates)

I dislike how all the pre-mades look but still wanted the families so I gave them all plastic surgery and made it genetic.

36  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bugged sim on: 2009 March 01, 09:43:21
you don't need to make a sim in CAS with the skintone of choice... just open the skintone file (if it isn't a default) and copy the family (dstring) line.

Changing a sims skintone in Simpe is a easy copy & paste job. Here is a nice tutorial (with pictures) to show you how.

37  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: beach lots on: 2009 February 08, 08:57:14
yup, I have around 40 terrains and most of them have beaches (flat beaches).
http://www.the-isz.com/theisz/index.php?showforum=89

If you have FT, you can always use the terrain cheat to edit PV. I did and even uploaded the hood for others.

39  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I Can Has Ceiling Tiles? on: 2008 October 16, 09:24:07
The ceilings are a part of the floor tiles.  If there are no floor tiles above the room you're wanting a ceiling in, you can't haz ceiling tiles.   Undecided

yes, you can. Just go up to the roof level and put floor tiles in 'under the roof'
40  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I can haz 2 problemz?!? Awesome people, please help me! on: 2008 October 05, 06:32:46
With empty templates and a good set of default face replacements, why would anyone need to create NPC's themselves?  (unless they were doing a theme hood or something)  The game is quite capable at creating them as needed and with a good set of default face replacements they aren't fugly.   Roll Eyes

If townies are actually wanted, it's easy enough to turn playables into townies/downtownies/social townies or shift-click on the mailbox for the option to have the game force create a batch of 30 townies.

41  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Making sims unique on: 2008 September 17, 12:41:16
So you've cleaned up all their memories etc? 'Cos you know importing sims from another's game is a VBT don't you?

ya, I've known that for a very long time now.  Wink   I used "extracted in SimPE & then cloned in Bodyshop" clean files.  edit - and I packaged them as soon as I moved them onto a lot.

42  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Making sims unique on: 2008 September 17, 00:42:11
I use the face replacements by selzi now.

If you want some different sims for townies I have a ton of them already packaged in houses. Most were born in-game in one of my old hoods.

The ones in this thread are base-game compatible and are cc/hack clean.

43  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: FFS "Batbox" Lot Debugger v2.0: NUCLEAR WAR EDITION on: 2008 September 13, 01:25:52
Update and extra info - nuking all the attraction markers for every sim in the household made no difference, and this time I found all the sims frozen in place as well. The menus look right, apart from the two affected sims, but nobody does anything at all. This is in a game with no CC apart from the batbox. Perhaps I should take this to a different thread now, it looks like more than just tthe attraction markers?

the attraction marker problem your having is probably caused by how you aged them, read this --> http://www.simbology.com/smf/index.php/topic,1352.0.html
44  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: PSA: Abandonated Mods Borked by AL on: 2008 September 10, 12:08:11
You don't need LotFullOfSims to play lots with over 8 sims living on them. You only need it for breeding more then 8.
45  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Unofficial AL Patch - Assorted Fixes on: 2008 September 10, 11:53:19
Vaguely related question...
Has anyone else had problems with their sims not aging? It started when I installed apartment life, and have not installed any hacks for quite some time.
I googled "Apartment Life Patch" and this was basicaly the best thing that came up (surprise surprise!)
Also, thank you for being on the ball with cleaning up after Maxis! Much appreciated.

Did you update your hacks for AL?
46  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Empty and Cleaned-up Templates. [UPDATED] on: 2008 September 05, 06:18:20
empty templates don't affect already created hoods, like Belladonna Cove (minus certain empty templates like Pets since BDC was created without Pets). To have an cleaned up Belladonna Cove, you need a cleaned up template for E001.

I rid my hoods of the social townies and bin families by backing up E002 and then deleting the neighborhood package file and all the characters. I then put in pre-AL copies of my hoods. The game can't add what it doesn't see.

47  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Creature Fixes on: 2008 September 02, 22:20:11
no, the link is broke  Wink

It points to a creature.zip not creaturefixes.zip and you get a "404 - Not Found" error

I grabbed it from the directory a while ago but some silly people might still be waiting for your broken link to work *laughs*

It's true, uninstalling an ep will always take the files with it, this is normal.

except Pets. You can un-install Pets and not lose anything, not even your hoods.  Grin
