1076  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Turning off security to download on: 2006 January 11, 04:40:26
I've found that some of the best information is in threads that have gone off topic!
1077  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Why. won't. he. just. die? on: 2006 January 11, 04:33:05
A message for those others, didn't you ever need any help? Undecided

well I know I'm one that gets bitchy when people don't read the directions posted, I don't bitch about people that have read them and are honestly confused about something. These days I try not to reply to the ones that don't bother to read.

I do remember needing help and I clearly remember about 7 years ago a kid told me how to attach a file to an email so I could send it to her. I hadn't gotten to that section of the help files yet *laughs*   (and yes she did laugh at me for not knowing how to do it already)

I've needed help with different things since then and the first thing I usually do is try and find the answers myself, sometimes I just ask those that already know, depends what I need help with.
1078  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Turning off security to download on: 2006 January 11, 04:09:40
well I popped over real quick and made myself look at it as if I had never been there before (and honestly there are some sections I haven't been into) and yes I can see how it can be confusing...hell I have trouble finding the custom content I uploaded there ages ago (when I had my own section)  Roll Eyes

Simmiecal, I agree with you about the moderation there, it used to be more relaxed... I don't spend much time there anymore, now I just take a quick look most days to see if anyone needs help with something I can actually help with *laughs*
1079  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pre-Nightlife Houses on: 2006 January 11, 03:50:48
speaking of Maxis terrain paint, I find it odd (and somewhat annoying) that if I place a driveway over a spot that has been painted the driveway dosen't show up in Neighborhood view (if the terrain paint is only under part of it then only part of the driveway shows up)
1080  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: All my plans Ruined! on: 2006 January 11, 03:09:02
It clearly looks like 3 to me.

ditto
1081  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pre-Nightlife Houses on: 2006 January 11, 03:05:32
as soon as I discovered how bad custom terrain paints are, I ditched all my neighborhoods and got rid of all the terrain paint in my downloads folder.

I may get attached to my sims but I won't keep something so buggy/annoying as custom terrain paints in my game.

I used Inges teleporter plus shrub to teleport Bella, used InSIM to quickly make Mortimer and Bella in love before Bella disappeared with the message about dying on another lot, then had Mortimer call the reaper to get her back. She is now back "in touch" with Don  Wink  poor Mortimer dosen't even notice when his wife is woohooing with Don, in her car, in the driveway, while he is watching TV *laughs*

I never bothered with Bella before untill someone posted about how easy resurrecting Bella is now, decided I wanted to see what she looked like *laughs*
1082  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Turning off security to download on: 2006 January 11, 02:41:13
And it's a very confusing site too!

Huh how is it confusing? seems fairly straight forward to me
1083  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pre-Nightlife Houses on: 2006 January 11, 02:28:11
heh, I restarted Pleasantview recently and the first thing I did (after nixing each storyline and resurrecting Bella) was to redo all the homes of the Maxis characters!
1084  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pre-Nightlife Houses on: 2006 January 10, 20:19:32
Ok, well, I guess it's only me that didn't have problems.  Ignore my post then.  Tongue

It's not just you.  I had no issues with it happening either.  Maybe we're the lucky ones hehe

same here, never had this problem *knocks on wood* I also never give CAS sims the extra want slots, maybe thats why?
1085  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Edward Mellon -- Adult or Young Adult? on: 2006 January 09, 16:45:44
-Whimpers- I know... but I don't have it, 'cause it fixes the nice potty training glitch.

So... yes. xP

InSIM has a very nice Toddler Trainer sectional  Grin   I set each skill to almost full and then have mom or dad finish the training so they get the memory, works great and takes alot less time  Cool
1086  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: FFS "Batbox" Lot Debugger v2.0: NUCLEAR WAR EDITION on: 2006 January 09, 15:29:28
JM says ironically the only babies that are different a lot of times are twins, because they are born consecutively and the second one is born with the next personality and set of features in the series.

Did Nightlife change something? I recently had twins born in one of my neighborhoods and I was all set to adjust their star signs so they would be the same when I discovered they already were the same  Shocked their personalitys were slightly different from each other also
1087  Awesomeware / The Scrapyard / Re: Anti-Gypsy Walkby on: 2006 January 09, 15:04:33
This is exactly what I was hoping for.  The Visitor controller/zapper was a bit too extensive for me when all I really wanted was to stop the 'Greetings, my dearie' from popping up everywhere.

Sorry twojeffs, but this one is indeed More Awesome.

(Thank you, this is great Grin )

*laughs* and I went back to the Visitor controller just so I would never have to see crumplebottom(sp? the wacko with the purse) or the gypsy ever again  Cool
1088  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: FFS "Batbox" Lot Debugger v2.0: NUCLEAR WAR EDITION on: 2006 January 08, 20:48:06
Thank you  Smiley
I have used it for ages, I just wondered if I should run it between births in the same play session.

Yes.

ok, cool, I usually would but sometimes I'd forget  Roll Eyes  now I will get it drilled into my head so I don't forget again *laughs*

Thank you  Grin
1089  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: FFS "Batbox" Lot Debugger v2.0: NUCLEAR WAR EDITION on: 2006 January 08, 20:14:47

1090  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: FFS "Batbox" Lot Debugger v2.0: NUCLEAR WAR EDITION on: 2006 January 08, 17:11:07

from what I understand about the "first born effect" and the randomizer is that, after each loading of the game, we should run the randomizer.

For the best effect - Should run it before each birth or just once after each loading of the game?

1091  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: New Open for Busioness Video 1/05/05 on: 2006 January 07, 19:04:54
TS2 = aliens
Uni = zombies
NL = vampires

so what are we getting in OFB? anyone have any ideas? I haven't seen any real discussions on it *is shocked*

I never watch the videos (take forever on my connection) so I've been enjoying reading this thread and getting everyone elses impressions on it.

1092  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: No longer amused. Anyone know what's up with the Social Workers? on: 2006 January 07, 05:29:37

I was wondering tho, has anyone ever gotten a match from sims we have created ourselves?  I always gets townies/npcs and the like on a blind date.  Is it possible for the gypsy to match a CAS sim at all?

I've gotten my CAS sims and my CAS created Townies and the Maxis Downtownies (I like most of the downtownies)
1093  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Why. won't. he. just. die? on: 2006 January 07, 05:17:55
that whole thread I mentioned above was a help thread and had only 2 or 3 posts  Tongue

I'd skip a hack rather then read a 50 page thread *laughs*  If I was really interested enough I would read a few pages to see if I could find out what I wanted to know and if I didn't find the answers then I would post with my questions.

The community I was involved in before getting addicted to TS2 was mostly kids and most of the questions asked daily had to do with how to hack the files for such and such result, not how to download something so we can't say all kids don't think for themselves.
1094  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Why. won't. he. just. die? on: 2006 January 07, 02:26:30
ZZ, I really have no problem with people that really do need help (I know I get confused about stuff) it's the ones that don't try to help themseleves first that drive me nuts, they want all the answers handed to them  Roll Eyes

I've given someone a link to a help thread and had them turn around and ask me to post the answers "here" because they couldn't be bothered to read that whole thread  Angry

1095  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Any one have problems placing lots? on: 2006 January 07, 02:06:38
yuppers!

it's a pain in the ass when you want pre-built lots right next to each other Angry

I noticed that that when I couldn't place a pre-built right next to another, I also couldn't place any neighborhood decoration trees in that empty spot between them, even though there is enough space  Huh
1096  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I vant you to bite my neck! Bleh! on: 2006 January 07, 01:58:00
I usually see the grand vamps at the Crypt O'night club (or whatever it's called)

I saw 3 of them at a park (at the same time) one night, wish I could remember the name of it...it had swimming pool right in the middle...something with "maze" in it...

1097  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Why. won't. he. just. die? on: 2006 January 06, 16:23:35
So what happened that he removed it from downloads?  Too many people whinning and bitching ?

I think so. I won't be surprised at all if Jase decides not to update for OFB.

Support was a headache because alot of people wouldn't RTFM or even do any conflict checking on their own, hell some would have a problem (that had nothing to do with InTEEN) in their game an blame it on InTEEN and tell everyone that InTEEN ruined their game  Angry *screams*  sorry I just get annoyed all over again when I think of all the shit Jase has had to deal with.

I don't have a problem with people that just RTFM quickly and miss a few things (I've done that myself) Its the ones that don't read any of the info and really have no clue what a hack is suppose to do, yet download it and then have the nerve to bitch about *insert random bitch here* that piss me off...

If I ever decide to become a modder and release my mods to the sims2 community, I think I would want to bitch-slap any idiot that posted "it don't work how can i fix it?" heh who am I kidding, I already want to do that  Wink

I also hate
how do i download this? (how can you be on the internet and not know this? How did they even get here?)
how do I install this? (specially annoying when directions are in the post right above)
where do I download this? (posted in the hacks thread)

Twojeffs may remember his trips&quads thread over at mts2 (along with a few of his other mod threads there) *laughs*  In atleast one I said "if you can't install it then maybe you don't deserve to have it"  Tongue
1098  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Family Allowance/Child Benefit for sim parents? on: 2006 January 06, 15:18:59
(ZZ this is not all pointed at you or anyone in particular)

It just seems wrong that those kids who want to make a future for themselves are often stopped because they really cannot afford it!

and thats unfair? yet some here have said that is someone couldn't afford a kid then they shouldn't have one... not the same? but yet it is, no one is entitled to anything (also said here)

I'm disabled and I'm not able to work at all which means I'm poor and although I get goverment help (SSI) I also need help from welfare for my daughter (The one I should not have had according to some people here) Should my daughter and I just drop dead since we can't afford to live without help?

Not all women or men on welfare are fat, lazy and stupid, not all women are popping out kids to stay on welfare.  Welfare has changed, atleast around here, moms have to work in order to keep getting any help from welfare and if your getting welfare and working, if you make just a couple dollars more "then allowed" then your welfare gets cut (by more then the few dollars)

1099  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Why. won't. he. just. die? on: 2006 January 06, 14:37:29
for those that don't know, InTEEN is available here http://mysite.verizon.net/aestudios/sims2/

heres a important thread concerning it
http://www.insimenator.net/showthread.php?t=3328

it was updated recently too

NL - 1.3i
Uni - 1.3g

Miscarriages were added because some of us that beta tested InTEEN for Jase requested it. They were not added to hurt anyone who has suffered them, frankly I dealt with 4 in 3 years so I know the pain very well but I still wanted my sims to be able to have them.
1100  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: These hacks from TwoJeffs appear to be empty archives on: 2006 January 06, 14:10:37
*laughs* I'm not awake yet it seems, never even thought about emailing them.

Turned out I was only missing 3 of them (see edit in previous post)
