Just popping in to say that I will be updating soon. I've caught up on some BBS threads about other store problems. I'm posting a list here, some of which we've seen before and some new. Let me know what you agree with or what you don't. As always feel free to add anything else that you feel need fixing.

21. Retro Model T Dining Chair * REQUIRES A FIX * - Apparently not usable with tables? Works for me. Can anyone here state otherwise?

23. Flute Forward Vintage * REQUIRES A FIX * - Apparently the third color channel takes up the whole dress. Works for me, PEBCAK?

24. Little Lullaby Crib * REQUIRES A FIX * - The interior of the crib is non-recolorable, will fix.

25. Muse Painting * REQUIRES A FIX * - Frame is non-recolorable, will fix.

26. Animals Abound * REQUIRES AN UPDATE * - Someone bitching about stencils and shift-ability, deal with it.

I singled these out because I haven't seen these before. I would really like feedback about 21 and 22 before I mark off completely as PEBCAK.

Base Game Updates


[The Brambles shrub can now be placed.
Fixed an issue that could occur where Sims would get "stuck" moving to a new world.
Child Sims will no longer "Play in Sand" indoors where there is no sand.
Textures on the undersides of roofs have been fixed.
Fixed an issue that prevented multiple rabbit holes across various worlds from being routable.

World Adventures Updates

World Adventures tents can now be placed back into inventory.

Ambitions Updates

The Gnubb Set now works properly.
Ghost Hunting and Fire Fighting jobs will no longer occur on resort lots if the player has The Sims 3 Island Paradise installed.

Late Night Updates

Drinks ordered from the pool bar will no longer be only bad or foul quality if the player has The Sims 3 Island Paradise installed.

Generations Updates

Elder canes now work properly.
Sims will no longer route through walls to climb to the top bunk of a bunk bed.

Seasons  Updates

Snow angels now work properly.
Alien abductions have been disabled on houseboats if the player has The Sims 3 Island Paradise installed.

University Life Updates

Sims can take photos with friends again.

Island Paradise Updates

Mermaid Children can now take showers.
Sims will now take boats, if they are the best option, when directed to snorkel elsewhere while swimming in the ocean.
Sometimes the ocean would reset when Sims woohooed in the underwater cave, because it was just THAT good! This has been fixed.
Fixed an issue with the underwater cave where the tentacles waved forever, preventing Sims from entering the cave.
Sims will no longer pop out of the underwater cave when canceling woohoo.
Sims no longer route fail when directed to fish while in the basement of a houseboat.
Shells found while snorkeling now count towards wish fulfillment.
The text description of the "Narrow Barge Style Houseboat" now reflects its proper size: 20x6
Fixed two occurrences where a houseboat could be created on top of another houseboat thus causing both houseboats to be stuck for eternity…which is a very long time.
Sims can now route properly up consecutively stacked staircases on houseboats.
Self-employed Sims can now check into resorts without the game freezing.
Sims can now relax on floor tiles.
Outdoor grills and easels now work on Private Lots.

Create-A-World tool Updates

Fixed a bug where deleting a houseboat lot via Edit in Game could cause an infinite load.

I hope I don't sound like a tard....

I downloaded the patch from MTS (I don't have any mods) to my flash drive (since currently I don't have Internet access at home), copied it to my computer...and the stupid thing told me "file missing" or some BS like that.

Really irks me.  Especially since I walk to the library whenever possible since my power steering system has a leak.  (Cue the violin.)

For the record I have all EPs *except* Ambitions, World Adventures, and Island Paradise, and the only SP I have is 70s, 80s, and 90s.

That's my whine for today, I'd like some cheese with it, please....

It was probably just a bad download, re-download it the next time you're out and about. Or maybe a bad transfer, try recopying it to your PC.

Are you dragging the board to your sim's inventory? If you do that then the board changes.

Thanks for the update, KT. I went back and removed the links for the temp fixes because they are no longer necessary.

About the Surf board, it does work fine, with the exception of the damaged board when the sim gets attacked by a seal (I did buy a custom board and not the default one). I haven't had the time to do a thorough investigation of what causes the issue. The damaged boards appear for people with legit copies, so there is something about decrapping that causes the problem. Is there anyone who installed this set as non-decrapped packages? If so, do you get a damaged board when a seal attacks?

Personally, I'm not overly fussed about the damaged board. The sim can surf and gain skill etc. just fine and the damaged board just takes up space. It does sort of bother me that I couldn't figure it out, though.

I'll take a look when I can, been in the mood for Simming lately.

I don't think there is a problem. I believe the reason you don't get back a broken board when you just use the station out right is because you don't have a board to get back. But when you have a board and you get attacked you get it back because it's yours. Where did you hear that non arr'd versions act differently? The BBC? Can anyone here confirm or deny that?

Phew! Finally got around to updating. Big thank you to notouching for helping; I basically just merged his fixes with mine. I haven't had much time lately for anything because I just moved in with the BF, so things are still a bit disorganized over here. Hopefully soon I'll get a chance to look the new items over in game.

If SP is set to off in the game's options then it's off, regardless of how AM is configured. Are you sure those aren't necessary NPCs that will spawn whether or not SP is off or not?
Nope, they're not NPCs, they are new households moving into my empty homes. 

Right, but are they co-workers/employees? Sims that have to exist in order for the world to function? Even NPCs have to live somewhere.

Why do people always say... if you had searched.... when I clearly stated I DID search and came up with broken links? I searched for "ultra lounge" and did not come up with any reference to Frank's site. I guess I'll search for "frank's site" and see what that gets me.

"Frank's site" got me nothing, but "Frank's" last posts got me his site. I gotta ask though, since I don't know Frank,what did you expect me to search for? "Someone who has stuff?"

Since the latest patch and AM update I cannot disable Story Progression. I'm not sure if this is an AM problem or if it's EAxian.  (I have been using AM very happily with no problems for a long time so I feel like this is an EAxian thing, but the moderators of another TS3 forum directed me here, insisting that it must be an AM bug because "If [AM] is installed and working properly, it hijacks the story progression code.")

My game is patched and I have the current version of AM.  My AM seems to be installed correctly because I get all the proper pop-ups when I do the "showconfig" thing.  I have the Story Progression checkbox unchecked in the Game Options but I am getting new random Sims spawning into my empty houses, which I do not want.  I have tried playing with AM Story Mode enabled and disabled in the config, either way I can't disable SP.  I have Ambitions, Pets and Supernatural if that makes any difference.

I'd LOVE to have the tiny prodigy learning center. Couldn't find Aurora Skies or just the center around here (and I used the search options), so I would be happy if someone could upload it for me.


  I have all the worlds there,& I believe about 95-97% of the other items/sets. My shared link is floating around here in a couple places.So you REALLY haven't searched as hard as you say you have.Last count,there was nearly 7 GB of store items at my link,or 544 files to choose from & download. It's essentially the hygiene motive. Merfolk must regularly be in water to fill it up, when it's fully depleted they die.

Before anyone jumps all over me about this I did test it. But the fixes conflict with the food and drink stand. I had to take all my mods out to determine which one was causing the problem and the fixes are the one that cause it to not have a food menu show up. If anyone can get it not to do that I will add them back in.

I think I have this same issue. The IP food stands and also the seasonal fair food stalls don't work for me. My sim will chat with the food stand worker and then just drops the action without the food menu popping up. I observed this with only Overwatch and the store fixes installed. It's a minor issue for me so I haven't tried anything to fix it besides deleting cache files.

This isn't even an issue, it's user error. Search moar and learn how to use punctuation and the shift key.

I can confirm it doesn't work with fix installed: the seasonal food stall and the tropical food/drink stands have clerks, but if you try to get food the action drops.
The only places that sell the new food from IP properly are the food registers from WA. Without the fix installed the new food is available as snacks at the refrigerator.

I might be able to take a look into this tonight.

EDIT: Are you knuckle heads sure you don't have any obsolete mods of mine in there? I've double checked all the XMLs and it's not those. Nothing else in there would cause this. I haven't booted up my game yet to check my food stalls so we'll soon find out.

He's totes trying to run a fast one on you, or he's a fucktard. What I usually do for the packs I really want is but them, install them, resell them on Ebay. You can use the serial number any amount of times you want. You can only register the game on thesims3.com once though. Is that what he's trying to do? The game would only be in israel if he chose the language upon installation.  You do not need Origin for any reason if you have the discs. Can you link the listing or post the description you gave? What did you put as your return policy? If he's experiencing PEBKAC you should not have to pay for return shipping or even accept a return. Or you can go find a serial generator for whichever game it was and give him a new serial.
