1  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Cheap kitchen island missing since BV/FT? on: 2008 October 17, 05:22:50
The texture mapping on the island is really messed. If the texture isn't pixelated then drawn on doors are wrapped round the side of the cabinet, very unattractive.

Thanks for your help. I think I may have had an outdated LS Buy package. After clearing my cache and re-downloading a few times I finally got it all to work. Thanks again.

Thank you for putting all of this together, the quality is much improved over the first extractions.

The leather reward sofa is giving me a few problems which, hopefully, someone can help me resolve. First, the black frame flashes blue - I can occasionally get the frame to show black but I can't move it from that spot or the flashing returns. The second problem is the frame is not able to be recolored - I noticed when the subset section screen cam up there was only an option shown in the cushion subset; the frame subset was empty.

I thought my problem may have been the result of a conflict but the above problems remain when the ls buy bundle and the ls CEP are the only CC in my game folders.

Side note: One thing I found odd was the sofa recolor found in the LS Objects Recolors by Numenor & MaryLou, modified to be compatible with Argon's version download shows both recolored parts of the sofa.  Huh

After further exploration, it seems that the LS CEP may be the problem Without the CEP installed the sofa frame is black but then, of course, the recolor is not available. Am I the only one having this problem? I have the 09-13-08 CEP installed.
4  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Apartment Life Pre-orders on: 2008 August 28, 02:35:41
Here's all seven pre-orders for AL. I would imagine that the tv's and stereo need to be updated for FT but I haven't had a chance to test them out, yet.

You can see the objects at http://www.spring4sims.com/2008/07/apartment-life-pre-order-in-germany-with-special-gifts/  You also get a couple of ghastly wardrobe additions for adult males and females featuring TS3 plumbob.
5  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is someone can tell me if the game is compatible on a Quad 64bits? on: 2007 October 25, 19:01:12
I run XP x64 and haven't had any problems playing - I have all EP and FP's. I can't think of any software that I can't use, I have Nero and PhotShop and both run fine - the newest versions anyway. The only thing I would recommend is make sure all of your peripherals have 64 bit driver versions or you won't be able to use them.

There are a couple of programs that don't run as well as they used to and both are sims related. SimPe is one, I can't recolor EA objects directly from the Objects file and CleanInstaller throws a lot more errors at me then before my switch to 64 bit.

If you want just the mailbox and trash can you can get those at Sim a Little Dream a Lot http://www.simsfiles.de/outgoing.php?id=269&pid=15&jump=http%3A%2F%2Fdaydream.etowns.net%2FS2hacked.htm

Thanks for putting all of this together and sharing it. Smiley I may get adventurous and try to attach the Seasons hood myself, so thanks for the detailed instructions you supplied as well.
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Paladin's Palace / Sim Wardrobe - how do I contact Paladin? on: 2007 February 13, 22:12:50
There you have your answer, if you have any doubt you can be sure that it won´t pass  Wink
Apparently, doing absolutely nothing doesn't pass either. I didn't *DO* anything to be banned, I was just perfectly fine and unbanned one day and next week, banned for no apparent reason. yay. Nevermind that it's pointless since it's trivial to evade bans. If anything, their absolutely nauseating atmosphere keeps me away better than bans do.

You created a site which shares pay files and N99 is very pro pay sites so you were bound to be banned. It doesn't matter if you never posted a link or even mentioned that you are the dreadful file sharing pirate. I'll bet that some pay site owner(s) got pissy and told Barb it's either him or me/us...poof you were banned.
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Maxis/EA update re nVidia & Pets incompatibility on: 2007 February 01, 22:56:48
I use nVidia and haven't had a problem. I have a GeForce 6600 GT 128mb and I see fish, fingers, bumpmaps and all the other fun stuff without any of the bsod that some people have. I think I use a driver I got from The Guru of 3D ~ I would have to check to make sure.
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Clothing Organization - and PLEASE don't send me to SimPE!!! on: 2007 February 01, 17:31:19
You can use BodyShop to delete and re-categorize skins. The deleting is self-explanatory but to recat you have to actually clone each piece and remove or add categories where you want the skins to show up. The other part you can do without SimPe is find textures without meshes - if the skin displays in BodyShop or CAS as a maxis skin and it has the CC daisy then, you have a texture without a mesh.
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: someone have the bonus of the Happy Holiday stuff? on: 2006 November 11, 22:00:57
Thanks for posting the bonus objects - your generosity is very much appreciated  Grin

Tae - if you're trying to be secretive and all that you should probably not use your face in your av--the same face you use on many other forums under your other name  Roll Eyes Also, didn't you spear head the sharing of the GLS bonus objects on another well known forum?
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: There HAS to be a better way to find orphan meshes on: 2006 November 01, 00:03:49
I've used SimPe to find orphaned object textures but I had to do some prep work to avoid all of the issues mentioned above. And I didn't have to destroy the organization of my folder system.

Make a copy if the Downloads folder and run Clean Installer to find and move all the meshes to a new folder and move that to the  desktop or My Documents .  Delete the copy you made - so now you're left with a Downloads folder that contains all of your meshes and recolors and a folder on the desktop with a copy of all your meshes. Open up SimPe and go to Extra-Preferences-File Table. Hit the add tab and load the folder you placed on your desktop - hit ok. There will be a new line under Advanced Settings for the folder you just aded -check the box and hit Reload (you may have to do this a couple of times). The first time you run the Scan Folder tool you should clear the cache, this will make the scan take longer but it helps avoid some misreading of the files. If you have a lot of files you should organize them into smaller groupings to prevent the "out of memory exception" and run a scan the smaller groupings rather than your entire downloads folder. One thing I found was I had a lot of build objects that showed the mesh as missing - so tread carefully there. Also, there were a few meshes that that showed up as not having a mesh  Huh -so,  if a file is listed as an object leave it alone.

This isn't 100% but I got much better results than I did when I used someone else's instructions.

Plus you can't view the textures or delete files from within its list.

You can't delete the files but you can disable them and then delete all the disabled files.
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Dull looking objects on: 2006 October 25, 03:25:49
If you stick the toilet outside it will look nice and shiny. If you let in enough natural light you can get back some of the shine but it never looks a good as when the toilet  just stick it out in the middle of the yard.  Wink
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pets Now installed. Running, Barking, and pissing. on: 2006 October 18, 01:07:11
Have you had any of the pests pets scratch at cc sofas or chairs? I heard there will be problems with the animations and creators will have to redo the stuff that can be ruined and I wanted to know if that was the case.

NM -  won't do anything with the CC - the chairs and sofas anyway; I haven't tested the counters and beds, yet.
