101  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: I know this bug has been reported before. In addition on: 2009 July 18, 17:48:17
Am I wrong, but I thought resetSim was a game feature, not Awesomemod?
You are correct. It is built in game.
Reading thread can be good Tongue

Motoki, I just did some testing. In my fresh new hood, not used for hopping between AM and Indie, it works. So I think it's related to that.
103  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: How-to: Cleaning up the homeless scum in your town on: 2009 July 17, 09:42:09
I had the same problem, Motoki. I was thinking there could be other demands for validating the houses for the families - are there? My semibunkers don't have windows for example. What are the specs for houses being suitable? Beds and cribs, anything else?
104  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Unoccupied House disappears with Story Progression? on: 2009 July 16, 13:36:21
The Library is the repository of houses, households and single sims visible on the down right side in EditTown mode. Its the houses/sims that came premade with the game, and the ones you decide to save. The warning when you save says you lose on-going wants/tasks for the sims, but I did it many many times and havent seen any problems with it.
A hint, if you are building something really special, is to have a Building Save, which you play only when building. I have one, which I emptied of sims and just have a couple with certain skills/tasks, like a farmer sim with high gardening/green thumb to plant stuff in the gardens I build, and such. He was also sent on a mission to collect all sorts of stuff for my science museum, which I successfully built and filled with rocks, butterflies and gemstones - then changed to community and now use in my hood. Worked like a charm. It's great that is is so easy to change between lot types Smiley
105  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Story Mode on: 2009 July 14, 22:29:51
I agree on the philosophy of Pescado regarding this - sim driven story lines are better than "story driven" sims. Will be very interesting to see what comes out of it.

I would also be interested in testing the story functions. Let me know when and how.
107  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Novels - A Guide on: 2009 July 14, 17:18:47
Growing books! I didn't think of that, lol.
108  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 July 14, 08:18:24
What I wish for, is that the books you write automagically shows in the bookstore list, no selling-books-to-store needed. You really sold the book to the publisher, didn't you? Who heard of a writer having to peddle his books at each store also. And they show in library, so why not in the store? Silly EA.
While writing wishing list on this theme, I'll add a Supreme Commander function to order them to write books. As titles are given, I would like to assign one ore more simmies to create books for the hood.
Posting this in request thread also, as it is probably more appropriate there - even if the discussion started here.
109  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 July 13, 18:15:38
I have tried it now, it doesn't work for me either Sad
110  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Novels - A Guide on: 2009 July 13, 18:08:48
I'll ask this here too, probably a better place for it than the Awesome Wish Thread Tongue. So, I want my sims novels to be buyable, and I have tried selling them to the bookstore. They don't show up as buyable books. Do they have to be bestsellers for that or what? They are all in the library. Selling them to the bookstore just made them vanish from my sims house, which is sad.
111  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: File that decides Maxis "townies"' names on: 2009 July 13, 14:18:50
I highly doubt that. I think they just mislabelled Amanda as male. Kim, btw, is a name both gender can have, also. I think its just sloppy insanity by EA.
112  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 July 13, 11:56:14
I am so annoyed about the selling of books. My sim writes a book, and its not for sale in the store. Why? It even became a best seller, but no one can buy it, only read it in the library. I guess this is core modding?
113  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: File that decides Maxis "townies"' names on: 2009 July 13, 11:51:12
Especially as they seem to think Amanda is a male name. I have, so far, had 2 male Amandas in my game. Interesting. But I SOO want an improved namelistfile, as we had in Sims2.
114  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: I WANT these objects. NOW! on: 2009 June 19, 22:57:34
I found the plane. It wasn't in the "community lot stuff" folder, look in the Deco - Outside one. The Landgraab fountain is still nowhere to be found. I finally made a copy of the Landgraab facility to remake into a new town square. I will also see if its convertible to a residential lot - maybe then its possible to steal? Tongue
115  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / I WANT these objects. NOW! on: 2009 June 18, 15:35:06
Ok, I soooo want the Landgraab Industries Fountain to place on another lot. Whyyyyy isnt it anywhere to find in catalog? Am I blind? Did anyone else find it, anywhere?
I also had a plane briefly in the community objects section - a nice big deco plane. Now disappeared. Does anyone else have it?
116  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Old Homework In Inventory Issue on: 2009 June 11, 22:19:33
I place it on floor and delete it, with moveobjects on.

This happened to me when I had high res skins installed and used, and set the game to low res. Try change the settings.

Now Christianlov DID update the All-In-One for AL, which I know interests a lot of people, so I defy the scary necromancy warning, and post the link here anyway:

To place cars to sell you need to use the wholesale toggle mode.
120  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff Collections on: 2009 April 11, 00:39:55
I made some humble recolors, so these items fit in my medieval hood.

Yeah, and Snooty Sims melted. If it comes back up, I recommend it, many funny people there, bring pop corn.
122  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: NEWS: WE CAN HAZ LEGAL THREATS? on: 2008 December 14, 20:21:01
Well if they are monitoring this site, then they could also read this: if they start a store, where all non-US/Canadian customers are not welcome, they WILL provoke file sharing. When you at least welcome customers that want to pay but aren't allowed, then come back.
And also, what about improved versions of the faulty stuff in the store? (There is a LOT of faulty stuff there)  And recolors?

If I could wish for something, it was a set of mill wings as hood deco, but placeable inside the lot, so you could build a nice old mill and put the wings on it.
Like this:

I used the whole wind mill and put it inside the house for this pic. The small one on top is SMB:s old modded mill that makes flour to sell, unfortunately not visible in hood mode. So a set of wings without the actual building would be a dream. Either as hood deco or as ordinary deco.
This mill turned out a little too big, more pics on this page:
http://portal.charlamov.com/windlebridge/Pages/miller.aspx
but is absolutely playable (and will be even better with the new spiral stairs soon, when I get to play it next.)

Simlogicals forum is up and working, so you can get the test version there. I am sure Leesester appreciates more testers.
