Oh, no, not the conspiracy theories again - ever think that somebody might just be referencing Moby Dick?
Yes, but where's the fun in that? DO YOU ALSO HAVE SOME THINGS TO TELL ME ABOUT SANTA CLAUS? HMMMMMMM?

So I'm trying to make things drop faster so you have to spend more time dealing with motives. I don't want my sims to be able to stand and fish at the river for 15 hours straight before they finally have enough bad moodlets that they refuse to do it anymore.
I've stood and fished at the river for 15 hours straight before and my mood never goes down much. You should try it sometime: it's very relaxing. Maybe if you did that you wouldn't complain about stupid things in games that don't seem to bother anyone else in the world.

EVERY MALE PEGGY HAIR EVER: Next month, reverse the direction of the bangs, color it green or white, and sell it again. Oh, be fair: some of them look like this. (That look of horror on the child's face is exactly the look I would have if that thing crawled on my head.)

There are expansion packs for this thing? I thought Stories games were one-shots.
The first expansion will be The Sims Medieval: All About Bladders! I agree about the 2D feel. When I was playing it, I felt like Sims 1 met Sims Castaway, had a child and named it Medieval.
And yet, despite looking like shit and barely having any meat in the codebase, it runs nowhere near as smoothly as my fully patched, all-EP, all-SP, mega-modded and CC'd TS3 install! WEIGH TO GO EA!

Anyone tried opening the game packages with s3pe yet? Is it compatible with the modding tools available?
I get a lot of unhandled exception errors with s3pe and the TSM build packages. Not on everything, but on plenty of stuff just selecting it in s3pe brings the error. This game is fairly bizarre, btw.

Heya im searching for a mod which makes it possible for family members (e.g. brother and sister) to try for baby and not just to woohoo as in the closer family mod. Thanks for every answer.
You should seek professional help for your obvious mental issues. I shall be awaiting your thanks for this answer. She's German, according to the email address. There's probably an entire section of the video store devoted to this fetish where she lives.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Neverending Pause
|

The never-ending pause was an issue on anything under a quad core. With a quad, that pause only lasted a few seconds and with the i7 it was barely there at all.
[snip]
Honestly, anyone trying to play this game on less than a quad core, with 6Gig of RAM and a 4000 series ATI is asking for lag.
I've got a Core2 Duo, 4Gb RAM and a low-to-mid-range nVIDIA (9400m) and a fuckton of mods and lots of CC and I never get this pausing.

What can you suggest we do to help alleviate some of this pausing, and sims taking 10 human years to get in the car when going to work, get the clothes out of the laundry, get the mail, or anything else for that matter. I think my computer specs are pretty up to par, but if you want to know more about my computer in particular so you can make a suggestion I'll be happy to do so.
Are you playing on a Mac? If so you're screwed; everyone gets those pauses on a Mac, nothing you can do about it.

Fair enough. I eventually got it to work simply by brute force and repeated effort. There's something wonky going on with 4shared and that particular file that keeps wanting to send it back to the countdown timer screen once you actually get to the download link. My advice for people having problems is to right-click the download link and open in a new tab until it pops correctly for you.
