Mocks Vermilion.

Thank you.
2  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: How do i know if awesome mod works? on: 2010 September 17, 22:27:08
This Vermillion character seems to know the MATY culture, but has no idea how to apply it to itself. Its been going around the forum spewing random crap going "Lookit me! I'm one of the cool kids! See; I can haz sai things lyk 'LURK MOAR'!"

You're still a noob. Accept it.

OK, fine.  I'll admit to being a noob.  I need to post less.  Feel free to mercilessly mock me when I AM stupid, please.  Noobs like me need that.
3  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: How do i know if awesome mod works? on: 2010 September 17, 22:06:08
I was lurking (A LOT) before I registered.  In any case, the person was clearly not enough of an idiot to allow me to spork him.  Believe me, if he was an actual idiot, someone would have sporked both the noob and me for trying to help him.  He was also smart enough to be able to generate a script error.  So no, not a noob.
4  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The "Where Can I Find This CC?" Thread - Because you fail at Google on: 2010 September 17, 21:27:50
This is uncharacteristic of Pescado: he's actually taking an anti-death position.  I thought he likes it when people die!
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Reinstall after OS was reset on: 2010 September 17, 21:24:13
Yeah, but as it happens, I DID have TS2 downloaded (and ready to install) before I reinstalled TS3, as I don't want to take the time to get my discs out, find the serial codes, install, and install every patch.  I'm not even sure the discs will work- I take VERY bad care of my discs.  With my torrented TS2, though, you just download and install.  The serial codes are right there, and patching is much easier with TS2.  It really is rather ridiculous how easy it is to pirate nowadays.  Goes to show how hard it is to formulate effective anti-piracy laws.
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Where to find GOOD custom worlds? on: 2010 September 17, 21:17:48
Any custom worlds out there with a suburban feel? Sunset Valley isn't too suburban feeling (road layout kinda messes with that feel), riverview feels like a little town, and most custom worlds I've tried are pretty sprawling. I'm hoping there's something out there with at least one tight little area with a few blocks of homes, maybe a cul de sac. Just lots of lots really close together.

I'm looking for the same thing in a small - medium world and so far, I'm not finding anything I like.  Anyone have something like this they know about?  I'd appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction.  I've seen the ones on the BBS and nothing's perked my interest.  I'm not running hacks of any kind just CC.  Thanks Smiley

Lesson one: DON'T LOOK FOR ANYTHING ON THE BBS.  That forum's pretty much all dross.  I don't know why Claeric doesn't make one himself if he can't find one - he's shown that he IS very good at building worlds.  (Also, you're on MATY and you don't use AM?  You need to install it RIGHT NOW!)
7  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Script Error on: 2010 September 17, 01:51:21
You might want to put the .d3dx9_31.dll file in your game bins just in case that's the problem.
8  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: How do i know if awesome mod works? on: 2010 September 17, 01:02:10

Do ctrl+shift+c and type in 'showconfig' if awesomemod is working 4 pages of settings will pop up. If it doesn't recognise the command, its not installed correctly.

You need to LURK MOAR before you start posting.  Clearly, you don't know the first thing about MATY - DON"T HELP NOOBS!  YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO MAKE FUN OF THEM!
9  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2010 September 17, 00:31:51
I had a previous version of the framework installed from way back before I had any expansion packs. Thats why I followed the uninstall instructions. There's no need to be rude.

What, you come to MATY expecting people to be unconditionally polite?  Believe me, that was pretty mild by MATY standards.  Get some thicker skin and read the FAQ!
10  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Script Error on: 2010 September 17, 00:30:25
Oh, that doesn't signify framework fail at all then.  Framework fail causes the loading bar to stay firmly at 0%.  I suggest let it run for at least 15 minutes to see whether the game loads.
11  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Script Error on: 2010 September 17, 00:21:05
I'm sorry, that was my fail.  I thought you were referring to the old Monkey Helper.  If it's not a framework problem, then I really can't help you, as this is well beyond my area of expertise.  Get someone else to help you.
12  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Script Error on: 2010 September 17, 00:13:35
FAIL - you still have the old framework!  The Monkey Bars installer has been out of date for months and does not take into account the new framework.  Download the tool I linked too, delete ALL the old framework, and run the framework installer.  If that doesn't work, you FAIL even more.
13  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Script Error on: 2010 September 16, 23:55:29
If 1.15.34/2.10.5/3.6.6/4.0.87 is the sequence of numbers you see on the Launcher, then the game should already BE patched.

ETA: I suggest using Delphy's Framework Installer at MTS2.  You can get it here: http://nene.modthesims.info/download.php?t=384014.  You'll need to register, though.
14  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Script Error on: 2010 September 16, 23:07:24
Stuck at the loading page?  FRAMEWORK FAIL.  Check to see whether you have installed AM correctly.  I remember with the old framework, if you didn't have the d3dx9_31.dll file, you couldn't run core mods, but other mods would work fine.  I don't know about the new framework, though.

ETA:  By the way, I don't think you quite get what a mod framework is.  The framework is the set of folders and files that you need to run mods in the first place.  The new, EA-sanctioned framework contains a mods folder in the My Docs game folder with the Resource.cfg file and the Packages folder.
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Reinstall after OS was reset on: 2010 September 16, 22:52:19
Or you can use the 3rd party patcher. Either way, have fun.

I get the feeling I'm going to have TS2 and all its EPs torrented before I install the Horror on my computer using the discs.  I think they call TS3 that for a reason  Smiley.
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Reinstall after OS was reset on: 2010 September 16, 22:44:35
So I install every single patch manually, correct?  I'm going to download them from third-party sources; no need to bother with the Launcher!

ETA: Nevermind, stupid question.
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Reinstall after OS was reset on: 2010 September 16, 22:39:32
Oh heck, I still have a Windoze Vista brain.  I need to upgrade it to 7.
 *installs Windoze 7 on brain*
All right, I need to reinstall it, update it to the latest patch, then I can safely replace the Docs folder with the one I backed up?  The last patch I was running when the game was on my OS was 1.14.
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Reinstall after OS was reset on: 2010 September 16, 22:21:26
You mean reinstall the game?
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Reinstall after OS was reset on: 2010 September 16, 21:17:33
My computer's OS was reset after I had it sent for repairs, but before that, I backed up the C drive on an external HDD.  My question is, can I simply transfer the Sims 3 files that were in Program Files and My Docs to my computer?  I'm expecting a flat out NO on this, but then again, I don't want to have to reinstall.
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Will Insimenator work with Awesomeware? on: 2010 September 16, 01:27:54
OK then.  I guess I'll try out TJ's SimBlender instead.
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Will Insimenator work with Awesomeware? on: 2010 September 15, 23:02:49
I'm running with the Director's cut of the FFS hacks, and I'm wondering whether I can run Insimenator as well.  I see from searching the site that the clothing tool conflicts with Insim, but are there any other conflicts?
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Does anyone use The Sims 3 with Steam? Is an internal FPS limiter possible? on: 2010 September 15, 00:29:26
Heck, you're expecting too much of someone whose IQ is somewhere between that of a bowl of tapioca and a turnip.
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: N00b here asking for some help. on: 2010 September 13, 10:41:00
I think someone's getting a little butthurt.
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: AM and CC? on: 2010 September 12, 21:46:49
It shouldn't affect any type of CC.  So many people in the Sims 3 community use AM that you probably already have CC made by an AM user.
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Twinbrook: Pudding Pied! on: 2010 September 12, 20:04:22
Well, I DO have AMB.  I had WA before, but I had to uninstall it because of A STUPID LAUNCHER BUG (this was before I knew about MATY and MTS and how the launcher is evil), and I was unable to reinstall it.
