And I would recommend using .Sims3Packs instead of .packages. That way it won't take forever to load.

My decrapified sets (which show in the game) show an image. Is that strange?
I don't know if it's strange or not, but in my case, some things show an image, and some others show a closed box... Both types install and show in the game, so I don't know where is the difference  Huh

I've tried searching, forgive me if i missed anything.  I installed... everything (just about) from the store content thread, anyways, since then the launcher is incredibly slow (about 20 mins to load/install new content), and i was wondering if anyone has found a work around for this immense slowdown (is it to be expected, or have i possibly done something wrong besides the obvious lack of restraint?), all the content does seem to still be functioning in game.  I have all expansions and stuff packs up to date with latest patches, and no EA download manager, I don't use the launcher to start the game, only to install and keep track of content, anyone have any tips?

EDIT: almost forgot, it jumps to using about 1.2gb of ram during the time its frozen, then from there jumps up and down repeatedly as low as around 200mb.
I don't know if this can help, but I have all the store stuff installed (even objects that came with bundles, promotions, etc.) and ok, it takes long to install, but surely not 20 minutes... More likely about 3/5, depending on how much files I need to install. So there must be something else that is "clogging" up your Launcher.

Um...did you actually read the bit where he comes out and says that if you have decrapified files in your non-decrapidied save game that it will become a pile of slag? We don't share decrapified files because IT WILL CRASH ANY GAME ITS PUT INTO that does not have decrapified saves.
Using decrapified files with non-decrapified saved games never crashed my game; the objects were simply replaced with non-store stuff.

@ Fizzy: yes, I did read it, but couldn't contribute with anything useful, I'm afraid.  Undecided
@ littlehead: Well I appreciated your nice way of writing, even if it's not at all popular here.

Glad you are (not) enjoying the show  Grin

I'm sorry but I have no idea what it could be... I'm fairly new to this decrapifying thing myself.

And anyway, as they'll probably tell you in a second:
YES, YOU'RE RETARDED! LURK MOAR! STOP WHINING!

I don't know...  Undecided Weird... I just wrote to you on the other topic that the first time I decrapified it, it happened the same to me (no changes). The second time it worked...

@JaneCrayon
I don't know if this will help, but the first time I tried installing Barnacle Bay (after decrapifying it), it acted like it wasn't decrapified (so EA message telling that it was installed but no symbol next to it in the launcher showing that it was indeed installed). So I re-decrapified it, and this time it worked!
35  Awesomeware / Armoire of Invincibility / Re: TOOL: TS3 Recompressor on: 2010 September 23, 15:43:33
no change in properties, so it can't be installed. Any suggestions?
What do you mean, no change in properties? There is no apparent change with the file (other than a smaller size). Did you put it in the downloads folder, or double-click to try to install it?
36  Awesomeware / Armoire of Invincibility / Re: TOOL: TS3 Recompressor on: 2010 September 12, 19:55:34
the game will just replace them with other objects when it loads.
I noticed that, that's why I got pissed and deleted the old saved games and started from scrap  Wink
37  Awesomeware / Armoire of Invincibility / Re: TOOL: TS3 Recompressor on: 2010 September 12, 10:32:02
2. If you decrapify objects, you must decrapify all of your SAVED GAMES (.nhd & .packages in your .sims3), PRESETS (userPresets.package), and LIBRARY.
Thanks I already read it, but couldn't understand since there were no such files in the Saves folder. So I deleted my saved games since I didn't need them anyway. Now I found those files in the main folder, but I guess I won't need to decrapify them anymore since I started new games since. Or do I [need to decrapify them anyway]?

I'm sorry I don't know what it could be, I downloaded it with no problems with the second link Skadi provided.

Or you could try this at Btjunkie, which is the website I always use (no registration required).

@jonsnow: are you sure you don't want to decrapify them instead?

I'm not registered and registrations are closed...  Undecided

Oh bummer! If I liked you, I'd send you an invite.
Well I'm not that desperate, I'd rather wait till it gets out on other websites than get an invite from you.

ETA: Thanks Skadi for the new link.  Wink

I have never been forced to do that after installing a new game or addon.
Yeah, kinda suspicious...  Sad

Installed everything as usual without any problems. The hardest part was being patient while the "punk" set was being downloaded (took about 15 minutes!).
46  Awesomeware / Armoire of Invincibility / Re: TOOL: TS3 Recompressor on: 2010 August 30, 17:28:36
Since I can't find it I'm gonna decrapify the single .package file in the save folder.
47  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2010 August 29, 16:56:28
Phthon, nice to see you join the conversation. Now we can really move on.

Now use your grown-up wits you are so proud of to move on.

Well Sigmund I changed my priorities in life since I met you here. You definitely come first now!

Daffy, you're doing this shit to be stupid and irritating, you know it, and you can't help it because that's your level. I'm suggesting you stop shitting all over this thread and trying to prove you're tough. You're not, you're acting like the kid you are and everyone can see it.
Well all I see is that you keep being OT. I'm suggesting you stop talking to me if you think I'm stupid and irritating. I'm not the one who tells people to fuck off or act all meanie just for the sake of it, and I don't need to prove anything here and especially not to you.

Does your Mom know you're here pestering the grownups?
Actually I don't see any grownups here...  Roll Eyes

Why don't you just fuck off now and let people discuss, oh I don't know, 'questions, updates, and tech help'.
Wow you're so tough, you even use words like "fuck off"! How mean, I'm gonna tell Mommy! Anyway, I was discussing the two new links the other guy posted above... Didn't you learn how to read yet?
