CAP doesn't have a V-Sync option ( just like Sims 3 itself ) , but you could add CAP to the list in the application I posted here ( http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,15585.msg571257.html#msg571257 ) to enable V-Sync with that .
I have sent her the link to try this, thanks!

She has the FPS limiter for the game. It's CAP that's doing it. Can she use it for that too?

Yes, you can use it with pretty much any app.

I will let her know, thank you!

I would post the specs but it's not my PC that's having the problem.

I will ask about the graphics card and then post back exactly which one it is.

*Edit*
Ok, I searched for her original post, back when her pc was crashing, because her specs were posted.  Rather than copy and paste everything, her specs are here

On another site, a user has asked about CAP overheating their graphics card.
Any ideas on why this would happen and any idea on how to fix it?
The PC specs are high and the graphics card is an AMD Radeon.
She had a few crashing problems until I told her about the FPS Limiter here and now she plays without any crashes.
She has tried EA and they couldn't answer her question.
She has looked through other forums too.
I searched here but I couldn't find anything related to CAP and graphics cards.

Wow thanks again!

Thanks Anach.
Where do I get it?
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Merging mods to increase Performance! on: 2010 December 02, 11:34:41
I merged all of my files a long time ago (when Anach first posted this thread) and I have been continuing to do so.
I've only just started to merge my dbc files because there's 8 of them
The things is, if I try to import the ebc files it shows as an unknown file in S3pe.
I know this is because they're store bought content.
Is there any way to convert it to a .package file?
I did do it but the game wouldn't read it.
I was actually just doing this so I could pass a set on to a friend, as sending the the s3pack file didn't work.

Does anyone know of a place to get skins for the Simbots? I'd specifically like something along the lines of C3P0, or other "human" looking droids, but any would do. Thanks.

I just clicked on my simbot and edited in CAS.  This worked fine, unless that was just a glitch in my game.

I've got those patches but I don't have CAW.
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.11/2.6/3.2 on: 2010 April 14, 20:31:54
No.  I just copied everything from my documents/electronic arts/the sims 3,  but I didn't have the new patch on my laptop.
That's the only different thing that my game would've had.
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.11/2.6/3.2 on: 2010 April 14, 20:10:42
I bought a custom built gaming pc and installed the game and patched in the correct order as advised.  I then replaced all of my saved files, mods etc...
The thing is, it's not set up to the internet just yet so I got the cumulative patches from thesims3.com.  I saved them to my USB and transferred them to my new pc.
Everything was fine until I tried to check my sims3pack downloads, which had been done through the launcher.
I needed to find a file that was cataogued incorrectly and was appearing on my baby and child sims thus making them deformed.
None of the items had the pictures and not everything that had been installed was listed. They were showing up fine in the game though.
As soon as I found one of the files I needed to get rid of, I uninstalled it. But, all of the lots I had downloaded showed in the list but nothing else.
Is it possible that it's the patch to blame?
It was working fine on my laptop until I got this new patch.

Thanks!!

I was wondering if it was possible to paint custom pictures like in Sims 2?
I'd love to be able to have my sims paint my own pics again.
Thanks.
