@ Drakron. I didn't even know the bonus items changed every month. Is there a place where I can see a list of bonus items from each month?

Just attempt to buy them, it always show what the incentives are on the first step.

https://store.thesims3.com/buyMoreSimPointsProduct.html

It may require you to log on.

And they are doing "buy incentives" about every month now.

It says that we can post questions about the TS3 store items here so I hope I'm posting this in the right thread. I was wondering if anybody got their hands on the $20 bonus item and/or know what the item is? A link to a picture of it maybe?

You mean the buy points incentives? this month they are all pointless badges, sticker and /background crap, they are USELESS!

Also Snooty mentioned new hairstyles along with the Beach, sun, sand release. Are these included in the download thread or are they still needed?

Again, we only had sets ... no separate from the sets items.

I would not advise use TSR Workshop to "convert" .package files as I notice it have a bad habit of ditching some of textures files.

There is a way around it that is export the .dds and import then back but its just annoying, also some older and odd stuff cannot be loaded properly,.

(damn, forgot the not)

Drakron, it doesn't have any of the SecuROM files with the disk version, I've checked the registry numerous times. They're also required to disclose SecuROM up front these days, it's part of the legal settlement they made with the class action.

I know, EA realized what a bad idea it was the use of online activation and limited activations when everyone bitched about it.

Of course I dont blame SecuROM itself but EA uses of it (Fallout 3 uses it but only the basic disk check, see many peoplecomplaining about it?)

I'd love a bit more information on what they intend to collect. Does anyone have a link to where this was discussed before the EP was launched?

You can read the log yourself as is in text format, it says a lot of things ... like what neighborhood are you playing, what items did you place, what commands you entered, your system specs and other fun private stuff.

And no, they did not told us they were about to start logging that info before ... even the patch notes make no reference to it and only to the added capability of streaming ads.

32  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: EA Data Logging - Ambitions & Patch on: 2010 June 02, 13:52:41
Not exactly.

Microsoft banned modded Xbox 360 from Live and only the machines themselves as the accounts still work, just the console is banned from Live.

They cannot shut down the console (doing so would create a dangerous precedent) but they can ban then from using services (TOS) and as for the warranty, that is pretty standard as if you modify the machine then the manufacturer cannot be held responsible for it.

33  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: EA Data Logging - Ambitions & Patch on: 2010 June 02, 13:40:07
So, it is basically Securom only semi-visible?

No, SecuROM is modular and at base its just a normal "disk check" but it can have online activation and also restriction on the number of activations (meaning the number of times it can be installed).

This is very much different, its what FUCKING STEAM does (logs statistics) so if you use FUCKING STEAM and allowed Valve to know everything you done.

Its funny in a way, Valve did this crap and put it under the radar and you cannot turn it off and they get away, EA does it and its Help! Police! Murder!
34  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Those looking for the 1.12.70 Patch on: 2010 June 01, 17:24:37
They changed the launcher, its MUCH MUCH MUCH FASTER on scrolling now, also not installed items are put at the top.
35  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomemod crashes at loading screen on: 2010 June 01, 14:43:20
No but it does require the latest patch ... that is right now  1.11.7 as 1.2.7 is very much outdated.

Even if it should just throw a "core mismatch" message and not a crash but 1.2.7 is so freaking old that might be the cause ... either way if you want to use AM properly, you always need to keep up with patches.
36  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomemod crashes at loading screen on: 2010 June 01, 14:04:17
Ok do you have World Adventures, High Tech Stuff and/or Ambitions? did you installed Framework on their directories?

Well here it is in a big package file, just missing the 20$ item.

That is why moderators and a few selective bans would do wonders, the reason people act like fucktards is because they get away with it.

Its imageboard culture as you never punished by acting like a dick makes people act like dicks.
39  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Game Shit Itself And Died on: 2010 April 03, 23:44:31
It seems that trojan also adds registry entries, look for a malaware removal tool that can fully remove it.

I use Avast! but I am unsure if it can fully remove it.
40  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 3.2.8 on: 2010 April 03, 22:26:03
No, that is not what the first replier said.

The question was if the patch was causing problems and Sims 3 patches have a tendency to break things or breaking then again, there is no need to go on as the first replier did how just because s/he does not use Awesome mod somehow s/he cannot post on this forums.

Last time I checked we had a Awesome Mod section and THIS is not it.

Besides you know I do not take kindly wannabe /b/tards acting like pricks (or more accurately, "bitches")  as for the comment about not playing the game ... well, lets say Pescado screwed up once and did not renewed the timestamp on awesome mod that caused the "about to expire message" and when someone dared to ask about it s/he was roasted about it with the standard "download it again noob" even AFTER other people come forward and said their encounter the same issue and it was only settled when Pescado replied saying "oops, now fixed" that IF they were playing the game they would encounter the same issue.

Also if the wannabe /b/tards hid behind "this is MATY, if you cannot stand the heat get out of the kitchen" then I am going to point out EXACTLY the same and proceed to call upon then.

tl;dr

This is MATY, I can be as much of a prick as anyone else here, fuck off.

Jesus just asking for some advice like.

The problem is exactly that, most people here no longer play the game, they just hang around for the chance to insult people asking questions.

No idea about your question as I never updated to the latest patch, usually the official forums is a good idea to check to see if there are persistent problems as the patch have been around for a while.
43  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: interesting bad file on: 2010 March 12, 21:12:18
I keep waiting for the interesting bad file story to become interesting.

The "interesting" is how CAS can be modded by objects files but that is know already and several CAS "hacks" been done already, we could not do that (or nobody did) back in TS1 and TS2.
44  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Shower Shoes on: 2010 March 12, 21:08:51
... I've seen the same happen with an accessory. My selfsim started wearing the kitty ears & tail combo whenever she showered which was... odd.
...

For some people that is the desirable effect.

I did got the "shoes when nude" but it was EA usual patch fuck up, Pescado fixed it (again) with AM and its possible to use one of AM commands to set the nude outfit.

Not I am excusing Peggy and Rose "set to all and random" that is just laziness but I do understand in some cases showing up as nude IS a desired effect.
45  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: EA Exchange Stupidity on: 2010 February 21, 04:25:18
Well maybe EA could focus on developing those tools instead of finding ways to make users unhappy.

Err ... you actually WANT EA to make Bodyshop for TS3 knowing that chances are they will fuck up the Launcher once again as a byproduct?
46  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Decrapify vs. manual .dbc files? on: 2010 February 21, 02:47:45
ETA: Yes, it freezes for a couple seconds as it reads all the packages (since there are over 200 in there) but after that it works flawlessly. I don't see a couple seconds as that big of an inconvenience. If you do, too bad.

Two things happened, missing thumbnails and then it was several minutes of freezing.
47  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Decrapify vs. manual .dbc files? on: 2010 February 21, 02:07:47
Not from my experience.

Well it does in mine.

I wait until it gets out of experimental.
48  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.10/2.5/3.1 on: 2010 February 11, 19:59:13
I bet most people here wouldn't even patch up if JM didn't update AM to work with the patch to begin with.

Well we would eventually as expansions or even stuff packs are forcing updating.

Patching by itself is not a issue, things worked relative fine until the 1.8/2.3 patch were they decided to modify the launcher in a futile attempt to protect their rip-off Store, also the reason that happened is unlike TS2 were things were very open so the modding community could work with and not end up creating too many conflicts down the line, TS3 is the classic "closed" development were there is no communication, you have dig in and see how things works.

Also the side effect was now the community have a distrust of .sims3pack wrapper as we never know when they are going to start to mess around with the Launcher, the .package format is not something they can mess much with since its the basics of the game.

49  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.10/2.5/3.1 on: 2010 February 10, 02:50:17
The CAS clothing filter thing is probably not an EAxian issue, but I thought that was fixed ages ago. It's back?

Well I noticed that for a very strange reason what was set in formal keep going into the other categories when I created a new sim.

If that is the bug ... they put it back ... on a stuff pack ... good God ...
50  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: those motherfuckers.... 1.10.6??? on: 2010 February 10, 02:28:12
Well look at my case, I had AM for the 1.5/2."something" patch that despite Pescado allowing about 2 months before it hit expire it hit expired so I had to update.

Since I believe on "burn everything" that means I deleted everything and then putting then back in about one at the time ... F-U-N-!
