126  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: EA Data Logging - Ambitions & Patch on: 2010 June 01, 20:51:27
Well I'll go through and see which one it was, but one of them definitely mentioned about "Data Logging" and how it can be toggled through the Options menu. It's definitely very creepy. Not surprising though.
127  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: EA Data Logging - Ambitions & Patch on: 2010 June 01, 20:25:43
Ah, I recall reading about this in some of the previews. Yeah, they want to harvest data on player's gameplay habits now.

Ugh, this is terrible. ETA: 2 years.

I'm almost tempted to spend money on this. Almost. I'm too cheap to ever actually do it though.
130  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.11/2.6/3.2 on: 2010 May 23, 18:45:32
Yes. I wouldn't be surprised if the new Edit Town features in the next patch cause vanishing lots again.

I bought this top of the line laptop less than two years ago.
There's your problem.
132  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: My Fambly Tree Button Is Borkenated on: 2010 February 15, 12:43:39
This sounds like my issue where sims suddenly spawn duplicates and become unlinked from the tree. Going on vacation seems to fuck it up. The button does nothing, except of course make that sound effect.

On a semi-related note, is a VBT for dead sims to appear alive in the tree while on vacation?
133  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Fishtank woes on: 2010 February 12, 16:25:28
I wonder if there is a food chain defined somewhere. Would suck if it's just random, and Goldfish start eating Lobsters or whatever.

Definitely a surprising little feature.
134  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.10/2.5/3.1 on: 2010 February 09, 22:55:48
Ah yes, it seems that only a Region 1 patch exists. Maybe they've realised what a nightmare this whole patching business is going to be when the inevitable 99 EPs come out.
135  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.10/2.5/3.1 on: 2010 February 09, 21:59:26
Okay, got the direct links if anyone cares. Change last numerical value to match appropriate region accordingly. Patches are 23.8mb, 32.3mb and 21.8mb respectively:

This is MATY. If we don't have anything nice to say, then we're sure as hell going to say the mean things anyway, whether you like it or not. Grow a pair, or GTFO.

It's so simple to do some searches to find the answer you are looking for. Someone actually did go to the trouble of responding to your poorly written post, and you just completely ignored their suggestion and then flamed them for pointing this out. If you cannot help yourself, then we cannot and absolutely will not help you.

Show some respect, for fuck's sake. Being rude and then asking for help will not going to fly around here. It never does, and it never will do.
139  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Bugs in WA on: 2010 February 04, 22:59:42
The inventory hand bug (where the game thinks you are still grabbing something, even when you aren't, so you end up with duplicate items and the inability to actually place anything) is back again with the latest patch. So now the inventory is once again a useless piece of crap. *rolls eyes*
140  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.9/2.4 Issues on: 2010 February 04, 08:06:31
Make sure the executable has been patched to the latest patch. I realised that I had used a crack (because AwesomeMod's no-CD didn't seem to work back when I did this) that was patched up to 2.3, but the original executable that I had restored was not. Hence "Invalid File Found".
141  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Has anyone else broken their game as badly as this? on: 2010 February 03, 23:13:07
Hm. I think the way I managed to fix this was by downloading the .world file from the .dbc torrent thread, and putting it in the same folder as the Riverview.sims3pack from the storeshit thread. There seems to be a decrapified version of it hovering out there anyway.
142  Awesomeware / Armoire of Invincibility / Re: TOOL: 3Booter, the Incooperative Game Kicker on: 2010 February 03, 17:34:50
It means it shall work up to as many EPs up to whatever is defined as EP99.

Hopefully we won't ever need to get that far. But it's nice to know that we have one less thing to worry about.
143  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.9/2.4 on: 2010 February 02, 21:15:46
I can't even get 2.4 to install. 1.9 did though. Blasted "Invalid File Found" error, despite having removed everything.
144  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Patch 1.9/2.4 on: 2010 February 02, 18:36:00
Quote from: Patch 1.9/2.4
This game update includes:
- High-End Loft Stuff - This update is required to play the digital download version of The Sims 3 High-End Loft Stuff.
- World Adventures - Users can now capture the Town Theatre subject in photography
- A change was made so that desks do not burn anymore.
- Mac only: Fixed an error with uploading screenshots from the Mac when the ".jpg" file extension is deleted.
- PC only: Fixed a bug where the launcher would display an error message that it could not connect to EADM on Vista and Windows 7 machines.
What a joke.

Patch is 27.3mb, and 33.1mb respectively.

Are you for reals?
146  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Has anyone else broken their game as badly as this? on: 2010 February 01, 16:47:07
I can't remember, but it might require more voodoo or clearing of files.

Of course, I sometimes get this error randomly, for no reason. Repeated attempts cause it to go away. *shrugs*
147  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Got High End Loft Stuff two days early . . . for all the good it does me. on: 2010 January 31, 21:32:37
Enough of the technical talk—what did it look like?  Will it rock our worlds?
How does the aquarium look? Are there more interactions than ‘feed' and ‘scoop out'?
Give us the FLUFF news! Are there new songs for the electric guitar?  You know, we have to know about the love bed, too.

I think you're on the wrong forum. MATY doesn't do "fluff". Anyway, this is a stuff pack we're talking about. They almost never include new interactions, the only exception being the last TS2 stuff pack.
They did say something about new moodlets and the vibrating bed "having consequences". Could all be L&P though.
148  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Got High End Loft Stuff two days early . . . for all the good it does me. on: 2010 January 31, 21:21:04
Lies and Propaganda!

Can you keep more than one fish in the aquarium? Is the vibrating bed still called More Romantic Than You?
149  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2010 January 29, 21:43:53
I get it even when there are no sacred sims, so I don't think it's necessarily tied to that.
150  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2010 January 28, 23:11:51
Alright, here's some more on my totally boring family tree saga. It seems to be turning into a sim version of Invasion of the Body snatchers.

I downloaded the doopercomputer, and had a look at some background stuff. It seems that what is happening at that particular moment is that the four Bagley sims are being duplicated with what can only be described as empty, if visually identical, clones. They seem to have little data tied to them, and no relationships. However, the other versions of them still retain the relationships (and presumably all the other data). Rhoda (the playable ghost) still seems to be the same sim, bar her portrait and age which is much older than it should be (and of course the borked family tree). Her "clone" (which I think is the original Rhoda) has the correct portrait and age though. So I can only assume that these mysteriously spawning duplicates are replacing the other sims, for whatever reason.

Case in point: At 12:09 am there is only one Ma Bagley. At 12:10 am there are now two. One with a whole bunch of data, and the other an empty shell.

Then I did some playing around with the old save, seeing if I could prevent it occurring or at determine what the cause is. I thought it was some sort of pre-determined BFBVFS, but the only time it didn't happen at all was when I did not send Rhoda on holiday. It seems that sending playable ghosts abroad (or, at least, my playable ghost) is causing some kind of fuck up. It's like BV redundancy all over again.
