26  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stuff from early development hidden in the files? on: 2009 August 15, 20:06:17
I'd know how to replace the UI images if I even knew how to get into the damn file.
I did it with sims 2 cursors, but they were stored in a folder.
27  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Do you think this would work? A NEW community lot time idea. on: 2009 August 13, 06:10:04
You're right, I understand what you're saying. What would happen is the kids would get home from school as soon as the returning sim gets home. Because nothing would resume until you are back in the lot. You're right about getting robbed from the hours of the day, but wouldn't my idea be convenient if it were the whole family going out and returning? They would return later in the day, and it will be later in the day in the game.
Crammyboys hack is really good, and there's no one i wouldn't recommend it to. That is the alternative way of fixing the problem, though. And with his hack, my sims vacations make a lot more sense time-wise. I'm sure you understand people have their different preferences about how this should work, though. Not everyone has to agree with Crammyboy. I think that if there were two fixes like this out there for the community, it would be better because they would have a choice.
Anyways, thank you for your response.
Let the discussion continue! Smiley
28  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Do you think this would work? A NEW community lot time idea. on: 2009 August 12, 14:23:33
This isn't directed at any users in particular, but I am asking the audience in general. Do you think this would work as a mod/fix for the community lot timing?

First things first, let me say that I KNOW Crammyboy has made a community lot time fix mod, and I think it was a very good idea that he did so.
But when I installed it, it wasn't 'fixing' it the way I had hoped ?
Let me elaborate.

I am thinking about a community lot time fix, that doesn't calculate the hours you were gone when you get home, and then you have to fast forward the time until your sim gets home.
You know what I'm talking about if you've had his mod installed.

Instead, let's say Sim A and Sim B leave together, on a date, or an outing or what have you.
They leave the house at 8:00pm. They are out at the nightclub until 2 am in the morning. When they arrive home, it is 2 am in the morning, in the game.

A different instance would be if Sim A left to the grocery store. If she leaves at 4 pm, and doesn't get home until about 8 pm, then there will need to be a daylight switch. It will be nighttime when she arrives home.

Here's some questions that may arise:

I've heard people discussing this, and they're saying, 'Well, if those sims are gone, with time passage what will the other sims have been doing? There is no way to program what they are doing.'

My answer would be, the sims should be paused in the spots they were in before Sim A had left (and continuing doing what they were doing as soon as the sim gets home), just like if there were no time passage, as by the games default.

Please do so much as ponder this idea. I am wanting to know if it could possibly be done.
Rude responses will be ignored. This is just an IDEA, not a request. And since crammyboy's project has been a bit abandoned since FT, I thought I'd give it a go at reviving the idea.

Thank you all for your time.  Smiley
29  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Sims 3 REFUSES to uninstall. WHY??? on: 2009 August 03, 23:43:58
Alright, I just had to manually uninstall the game. Lots of steps, but I managed. I just don't think I could go through it again, haha.
Thank you guys for your help. I really do appreciate it. I would not have figured it out on my own, I'm sure.
30  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / The Sims 3 REFUSES to uninstall. WHY??? on: 2009 August 03, 23:20:05
Alright, so here I am. Frustrated as fuck, trying to get this game to actually work. I've installed the most recent version of awesome mod, and the game kept crashing after screwing around with the configuration and trying everything else I could think of. (like removing and then replacing enablescriptterror).
Unfortunately I couldn't get anything to work. So I decided I should try to uninstall the game, since I've been trying FOREVER to get that freaking patch to install. It refuses to.
But no, I can't even perform a task as simple as removing the damn game from my computer.
When I tried, I got this dumb fucking error.

What the hell is this? I'm so frustrated right now. I can't even get the game to uninstall.

What do you guys think? I've never seen that error before and I don't know what's causing it.

Hot damn, replacement roads? I'm going to snag these while they're still hot. Thank you for the links.

Hm, I like it. So you mean we can create sims in CAS with this hair AND have hatless maids? Alright, it sounds good. Thank you.

I don't see any screenshots of your sim?
34  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: I asked Pescado...If I could share The TS3 Prima Guide on: 2009 July 03, 10:54:54
Oh, sorry. I didn't see that.
35  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: I asked Pescado...If I could share The TS3 Prima Guide on: 2009 July 02, 17:34:59
Correct me if I'm wrong, but did it or did it not say "I asked Pescado If I could share the TS3 PRIMA GUIDE"
Huh

I was just wondering, because everyone was asking what it was they were (or were not) about to download.
36  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Making a better face skin... on: 2009 July 02, 17:27:40
I don't know. I mean, it looks better, definitely. But I think that tone you made is way too dark to be a light (or one of the light) skintone(s) in the game. I think you're definitely on the right track, though. Maybe you could lighten the skin to the same degree as the pudding skintone so it matches, and then post a picture. The color does look like a bit of a 'fake barbie tan', like people were saying. It might look better on a darker overall body skintone though.
37  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Grampa's losing it a little on: 2009 July 01, 06:26:49
When sims have the 'insane' trait, clearly you can see when you hover over the trait it says 'don't expect your sims' wishes to make sense'. Something along those lines. I don't think it's a programming hiccup at all.
38  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Tipping Request? on: 2006 September 11, 01:19:21
I guess I too will have to leave it to people who know. it might be possible
39  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Tipping Request? on: 2006 September 09, 21:11:59
I thought it'd be nice to have a mod that you can tip any sim on any lot. Just like how sims tip the newspaper man, mail man, maid etc. etc. I'm sure someone here could do it.. I have all of the expansion packs

I was thinking it would be for something like a parent giving a kid birthday money, an elder influencing a kid to garden for them and they give them money for it..

Stuff like that..

Could anyone try this, twojeffs? Crammyboy? J.M? What do you say?  Wink Wink
