51  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 November 05, 22:16:19
This isn't a bug or anything, but why is Bridgeport so horribly designed? Each town EA has given us so far has been very well done. Sunset valley was suburban paradise, Riverview was a perfectly quaint farm town, and Twinbrook did a wonderful job with the southern feel. Bridgeport feels like a rusted hulk of a city, like SimDetroit. Why are there no damn trees anywhere? Why is there practically no transition from the actual city to the "suburbs?" The entire thing feels slopped together and messy. They could have had an excellently designed downtown area if road placement wasn't effed up. It looks and plays like someone dropped some skyscrapers in the middle of nowhere.

Oh, and FANTASTIC job designing those clubs EA. I love watching a horde of Sims rush the elevator because you were too dense to add something as simple as a stairwell.

Out of curiosity, how much is an entire month/year of hosting?
53  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Building Your Own Apartments: Late Night on: 2010 October 30, 18:53:18
I'm just rather annoyed that we can't have multiple households in a building. You really can't add in a couple of lines of code EA?
54  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 crashes when loading a family. on: 2010 October 30, 06:46:16
After doing a completely clean and fresh install, and spending HOURS patching everything up, I tried again and guess what? STILL NOT FIXED.

I'm going to try Claeric's suggestion, but this shit is getting retarded.

EDIT: Turns out it was one of those data execution prevention things. I really wish I had known that before I baleeted everything.

Mods can go a head and delete this thread.
55  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Sims 3 crashes when loading a family. on: 2010 October 30, 00:23:52
Hi ya'll.

I wanted to reach out for a bit of help for a problem I think might be unique to my install.

I'll start the game up fine and dandy. I load up a neighborhood and I can go into Edit Town, browse the catalog, do some building, etc. Here's where the problem begins. When I load up a household, ANY household, the game crashes. No error pop up or anything, just instantly back on the desktop. I'll enter the household, see the Sims standing outside, and about 40 seconds later, crash. This happens no matter what I do. I've gone in, watch them stand there on the sidewalk for 30 or 40 seconds, no interactions or anything, and get thrown back to the desktop.

Now I currently have Late Night installed, but this problem actually occurred BEFORE I put Late Night in. I have awesome mod and its framework installed, I've cleared my caches, removed all my CC and mods, and got the latest version of AwesomeMod. I can also supply an error document the game crapped into the "My Documents" folder.
56  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Custom Television on: 2010 October 13, 05:30:31
It's the first fucking result on google. You don't have to know a thing about MTS to find it.

Christ, will you stop yelling over the internet?

And wow, all that damn work just to add a video to your television? Nice to know EA cares about the custom content community.
57  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Custom Television on: 2010 October 12, 23:37:05
Ok, you know what, before this thread devolves into another shitstorm, could someone provide a link?
58  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Custom Television on: 2010 October 12, 22:46:05
Hey folks. One thing I've been wondering recently is if anyone ever found out how to add custom video to television/video games yet. I'm really tired of seeing nothing but the same gardening show and having my Sims play a rousing session of gameplay trailers.
59  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Where to find GOOD custom worlds? on: 2010 September 28, 04:44:00
Good god, the drama in this thread is simply palpable.

That said, I do like the look of that Old Town remake. I just wish the lots included weren't so blah.
60  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2010 August 18, 03:24:46
I just went back through that entire thread and didn't see them at all. RainbowBrite has an entire 4shared folder with everything but its all in package format. i need it in unmodified .sims3pack.

EDIT: I was looking in the wrong damn thread. My apologies.
61  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2010 August 18, 02:13:40
Does anyone have the August Store items in unmodified .sims3pack format? I've searched the entire forum but haven't been able to find them.

He wants to create Opportunities, the things you get on occaision like the "stay after hours at work for a bonus" or "bring in a plate of cookies."
63  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Homeless Challenge, TS3 on: 2010 February 12, 03:23:08
Hey, since we're talking about Challenges, how about the return of the Apocalypse Challenge?
64  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Homeless Challenge, TS3 on: 2010 February 11, 08:20:17
I'd say allow the use of tents, but only the cheap little crappy tent, and your homeless sim can only have ONE. For that added homeless feel, try giving the tent a sort of cardboard texture.
65  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.10/2.5/3.1 on: 2010 February 10, 02:03:43
I dont use any gameplay mods besides AwesomeMod and I noticed this too. Its a little annoying, but I'm trying to play a neighborhood consisting of only sims I've made. (NPCs not included.)

You have Framework Fail. Remember to move your DLL. And AwesomeMod is already updated and available in test. Since like, yesterday. WOH-pah!

You never fail to impress me El Presidente.
68  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.9/2.4 Issues on: 2010 February 03, 23:47:01
Had to completely reinstall Base/WA due to messed up core backups. Kinda nice to have a clean start though. Any idea when Awesomod will get its update?
69  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Strange Release by Avenged Create A Sim on: 2010 February 03, 23:41:17
Is there nothing EA won't nickel and dime us for?
70  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Fern Lake, my first attempt at CAW goodness. on: 2010 January 22, 19:32:36
Its still a WIP. Should I ever finish it I'll let you folks know. But I still have a few bugs to work out. Moving a few lots, placing decorations and stuff.
71  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Fern Lake, my first attempt at CAW goodness. on: 2010 January 22, 02:50:31
They're a lot bigger than they look, and I'm trying to keep the feeling of this being a small close knit close quarters town.

But on the subject of embiggening, is there any way while in the creator to expand the map without completely messing up the dimensions of everything I've laid down?

And has anyone figured out how to switch the vast sea with fake land? They did it in Sunset Valley.
72  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Fern Lake, my first attempt at CAW goodness. on: 2010 January 22, 02:25:34
It took a while to get my head around the controls, but most of my first custom neighborhood (outside of my Sims 2 creations) is finally taking shape. I thought I would share the WIP with you folks.

EDIT:
I've decided that since so many folks would like to mess around with this town, I'd upload the .world file. Rather than leave it as is and get all manner of complaints that so and so lot has bad placement or whatever. Well honestly I'm just tired of working on it and I'm lazy I want to give everyone the chance to tweak it a bit and learn how to use CAW yourselves you lazy peons.

73  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Merging mods to increase Performance! (Manually creating .dbc archives) on: 2010 January 16, 07:32:19
Success!

I love you folks. I thought after EA dropped 1.8 on us I'd never see the store content again. But you people are geniuses of all this technobabble.
74  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: a new world, Coconut Island on: 2010 January 10, 04:18:45
A very nice looking world, until a Hurricane or just some nasty waves come along.
75  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: EA store stuff in *.dbc format - a torrent on: 2010 January 09, 02:51:45
Well the new sets seem interesting enough. I've had the idea for a Cathedral styled tomb underneath the Goth Residence (which is only accessed by a keystone from City Hall's Cold War Bunker  Smiley ) and gothic furniture like that would fit nicely. Do you think you'll be able to get us an updated .dbc pack soon witch?
